View Full Version : I'm spotting, so afraid:(

This is pregnancy with my third child and I've always had some spotting, pink tinged mucus both with my first two and it always scared the heck out of me. I'm a weak person when it comes to pregnancy and it's hard for me to think positive. I know it's bad:(

I saw some rusty brown stain on my TP and now when I wiped it's pink, although not bright red but it looks like the beginning of a period. I see streaks only on TP but more when I wiped. My OB said it could either be I'm in the process of M/C or just first trimester bleeding, he can't tell me more without ultrasound.

Has anyone experienced this. I should be in my 6th week now and heartbeat was detected last week at 5W4D although the OB thought the baby is smaller than scheduled.

I wish I knew what was happening. I'm so afraid of the prospect of NOT seeing a heartbeat when I come in on Wednesday.

Thanks for listening

I will be sending you PPT. I hope everything turns out okay - some pink spotting can be normal.

:Hug Hugs to you momma! Spotting is so scary...especially when they can't explain why it's happening. And, it's difficult waiting until Wednesday, but I'm hopeful for you that you see what you want to see on the U/S this week. I second the PP, a little bit of pink spotting is perfectly normal, but it certainly doesn't stop us from fretting a bit, does it?! I thought I'd heard, too, that once they saw the heartbeat, the m/c risk is lessened...
Get off your feet, drink lots of water, and make your hubby and kiddos pamper the heck out of you!

ITA w/the pp...rest, try to relax (I know, it's very hard), let them pamper you, and drink lots of water. Sounds like totally normal activity to me. Did you just have sex, by any chance, 'cause that can certainly cause an irritated cervix. hang in there, and keep us posted!

:hug to you Lisa. It could very well be just early pregnancy spotting. I've spoke with friends who've experienced this and read many a time on this board about gals who experience early spotting who go on to continue a healthy pregnancy. I KNOW 1st hand how hard this is for you. :1praying: Prayers and :sticky thoughts to you & your little one inside you. Please let us know how you are doing.

if you are really worried about a m/c, get some wild yam cream and use it. boosting your progesterone level can sometimes prevent a m/c.

i am spotting too... but am 8 weeks... see my previous thread on this DDC. mine is old blood though and i have no cramping.

I spot with every single pregnancy, including this one. Try not to think about it. (((HUG)))
