i went to see my midwife yesterday and was finally able to hear the heartbeat! it was very quiet though and she said she thinks the placenta is on the front, which i had a feeling it was b/c i have not felt any movement yet (i'm now 19 weeks). the baby kept running away from the doppler too (sorry baby!!), and the midwife said s/he is very active, which was also nice to hear :). i was not particularly worried, but it is still nice to know that things seem to be going well and hearing those things makes it a little bit more real--even more than my bulging tummy and constant desire to nap!!!
