I keep meaning to join in here....I lurk/post occasionally at MDC and thought it was high time I introduce myself and join in!

I'm Karah, and this is my fourth healthy pregnancy (two miscarriages back in 2001 between DD's Alexis and Kaia). I'm excited to be reaching the end of the first tri (always a stresser with prior losses) and am just beginning to show instead of just looking "fluffy" :lol I live on the western slope of Colorado and enjoy doing all the outdoor activities here with my family that first attracted us to move to this region nine years ago.

Looking forward to getting to know other mamas around here! :D

Welcome Karah! I'm hoping to make it over to your part of the state to go camping this summer. I still look a little "fluffy!" That's why I wear maternity clothes.:lol

Hey ColoradoMama! We're hoping to do some camping too.....we've been down to Ridgway, south of us, to camp, and also over at Rifle Falls, which is east of us. We keep wanting to camp down at Silver Jack near Ridgway and I think that'll be the first place we try to go this summer. :)

Rifle Falls is where I want to go. It looks so beautiful! We bought a pop up camper last year and loved camping with it, so I am really looking forward to this summer. We're planning on moving after this baby's born, so we want to do a lot of camping in Colorado before we leave.

You'll love Rifle Falls! The falls themselves are beautiful and there's a nice trail that goes around the campground.

It's hard to get campsites reserved there, though, if you wait too long! We went for my birthday weekend a few years back and only got a campsite because someone canceled.
