Hi ladies,
Thanks so much for your support. I truly appreciate everything. So I did see the OB on Tuesday (managed to come in earlier). I was so afraid but U/S revealed that the fetus is still there with regular h/b and has grown, so it looks like everything is okay.

I'm still spotting, however and it truly annoys the heck out of me. Especially after BM or urination it is fresh red or rusty pink when I wiped and accompanied by globs of mucus sometimes. I'm still nursing my 18 month old and I forgot to ask my OB what he meant when he said, "I wouldn't nurse especially if I spot brown blood", at a different time he said there was no need to stop my nursing. FYI, he's supposed to a pro natural-everything OB who's opposed to progesterone supplements for fear of lack of data. It just doesn't make sense that nature would let you lose a child when you're still nourishing your other child, does it?

Thanks again.
L

I don't have a lot of experience with spotting, Lisa, but I wanted to give you a big hug and remind you to visualize what you've already seen; your little one is growing and has a good heartbeat. That's great news!

Hang in there :hug

I know what you are going through. The only thing I can suggest it to stop all internals exams and put any marital relations on hold. REST adn drink lots of water mama! I'll be thinking of you!

BTDT--Lisa, I have to agree with Earthymama. I bled through two pregnancies and I wouldn't take a chance on "relations" with my husband for a while. He knows I'm off-limits till at least 12 weeks (even though I am not spotting this time around) and I refuse any and all internal exams.

Listen to your body. Slow down, put your feet up (a LOT), drink tons of water and stay away from internal anything for a while.

I understand what your doc is saying about progesterone, but my feeling is that if your level is low that it's good to supplement (certainly better than losing a babe because it's too low to sustain a pregnancy). I've had 3 progesterone babies and this one is too. Go with your heart on it. If you want to, get your level checked. Spotting in early pregnancy is often due to low progesterone and IMO has been proven safe enough.

I'm not sure what to tell you about nursing. I wouldn't think it would be an issue, but again, if your heart tells you to stop then listen to it.

I wish you well,
Cristina
