I'm about 4 weeks pg with #3. I've had a 25-month spacing between both pregnancies. I know that implantation was only, what, a week ago? But last night the waistband of my roomier jeans was uncomfortably tight. I weighed myself, and, no, I haven't gained 15 pounds overnight. These jeans have never been tight at this weight before. So what gives? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm going to feel so ridiculous if I need to start wearing maternity clothes within a week or two of testing positive.

Ha! I just posted about this on another board. :) This is just my first pregnancy, but I almost immediately started bloating; the poofiness combined to my increased sensitivity to pressure around my abdomen has led to using an elastic band to expand my jeans today! I've gained 2 lbs. or less at a little over 6w, but the girth doesn't lie. ;)

This has happened to me too. I have actually lost weight, but my jeans are tighter. This is my 4th pregnancy.

LOL--This is pregnancy #7 for me and I'm having the same experience. Just dug out my maternity clothes this morning. I'm 7 weeks and definitely popping out already. I have my "fat" jeans on today and they are really snug :lol I hate being at the in-between stage that I am right now. I know the maternity stuff is going to be too big, but I have only one pair of pants (the jeans I have on now) and one skirt that still fits me. I may have to get some stretchy pants in a little larger size till I start really showing.
Very frustrating, but it goes with the package.

This is baby #3 for us :)
And i too have noticed that my clothes don't fit anymore. And i'm about 6weeks and nothign fits anymore. I haven't gained ANY weight yet but it is starting to show that i am PG. My tummy is already pooched out and cannot wear jeans :( even fat jeans hurt! SO we are in stretchies for a whiel, won't break out maternity yet, as most i have are summer. (both other kids were fall babies also and i never needed maternity clothes until summer) Didn't show with first until abotu 7 1/2 months. About 6 1/2 months with DD and who knows wiht this one :) The weight gain is ok so far.. i lost with teh otehr 2 in teh beginning but gained 12 lbs with DS and 12 with DD> So hoping fo rsimilar amounts this time :) (They were both full term ~overdue actually~ babies wighing 8lbs and almost 7 lbs.

I'm having my third and just bought two maternity outfits today. My jeans don't fit comfortably anymore and I only have two pairs of sweatpants (which I'm sure I'll outgrow soon!). It felt so strange buying maternity clothing this early, but the girl at the store assured me that it was quite normal for #3 :)

This is my third pregnancy, and I'm going through the same thing! I almost didn't open this thread, since I only have one child, but I'm glad I did! I was getting worried that I have a mutant body or something for all this to be happening so early! I'm only 5 or 6 weeks pregnant!
I'm so glad that it's totally normal!
I already boughtt a bunch of maternity clothes off of ebay (donated mine years ago), since everything I have is irritating my belly. Now I have to figure out how to not look pregnant before I'm ready to tell my family!

Like lotusdebi, I almost didn't open this thread. I just have DS, but I am already getting tight in my jeans. I'm having weight gain too. I am only 5.5 weeks pregnant, and I have gained three pounds. I feel huge already. My belly is bloated, and I'm sensitive to anything touching it. I'm so happy to read this. Is the quick weight gain normal though?

From what I know personally and from what I've been told, everything happens a lot faster with subsequent pregnancies, including weight gain. Not in every woman, but in most. I laughed when I heard my friend's sister - who has four children - was wearing maternity clothes by six weeks with her third. I thought she might have been exaggerating... Until I found myself unable to fit into anything today :innocent
