Here are the first of your questions of the week! :)

What kind of birth are you planning on having (home, hospital, birth center)?

What experiences, if any, have influenced how you view birth?

What are you most excited about and most scared about with having another child?

yikes! i didnt realize i had my very own thread!!!
okay, lets see. . .
What kind of birth are you planning on having (home, hospital, birth center)?
im planning a home birth. possibly unassisted. we'll see.

What experiences, if any, have influenced how you view birth?
well, i am a midwifery student, so a home birth seems pretty obvious! plus i had my last one at home, and it was perfect.

What are you most excited about and most scared about with having another child?
i cant WAIT to have a snuggly little baby. but i am scared because i know its going to be waaaaaay more work than i can even imagine.

Does your first dc know/understand about the babe yet?
definitely. i ask him "where's the baby?" and he will say something like "baby right here [points]. baby small, baby bigger baby come out!"
for a while he was totally against this baby nursing. they were his nurses! then one day while we were in the tub, his eyes lit up, and he said, "baby come out, baby nurse side, me nurse side!!" lol

What five aspects of your life are most important to you?
my family (husband, son, sisters, mom, dad,etc etc), my work (birth), sustainable living, gardening (which i dont do AT ALL right now :( ), andhaving time to relax and not do anything.

How many people and how many animals live in your home?
me and my husband and our baby, and 2 dogs

If you could change one thing about your home, what would it be?
EVERYTHING! i hate my house, which is very sad. part of it is having a messy toddler and two shedding dogs, but i just dont feel comfortable in it. we are in the process of renovating slowly so that i will like it by the time the baby comes, and so that when we sell it in 1 1/2 years (to go build a cob cottage!! yay!), someone will actually buy it!

What, if anything, do you take from your own upbringing and use in your parenting? What, if anything, are you leaving behind? My dad was always super into appearances, like he wouldnt let me out of the house if i was wearing pajama bottoms. i remember one time i was playing little house on the prairie when i was probably 7 or 8. i had this checkered bonnet on that my mom had gotten me, and my dad didnt want me to play outside wearing it because the neighbors might think it was wierd!! wtf?!? he was very into money and good grades and all that stuff. my mom was pretty awesome, she always supported me in what i wanted to do, and she owns a health food store so i learned alot from her. after her and my dad got divorced, she started talking about how she had done her time as a mom, that she needed time for herself, etc, and that really affected me and made me feel like a huge burden. luckily that phase only lasted a year or two!

supporting my kids in whatever they want to do is very important to me, as is instilling good values regarding responsible living (to our neighbors and our environment). it is also very important to me that my kids never feel like they are a burden.

what's your favorite way to relax this pregnancy? a cigarette and a couple beers.

What's your favorite color? Favorite color to wear?
greens and browns are my favorite colors. green and purple are my favorite to wear

What's your favorite time of year?
fall, winter and spring. oh, and summer too. all for different reasons! however, i absolutely do NOT like summer in florida, except for the pretty plants. it is waaay to hot down here.

What are some of you favorite hobbies?
camping, reading, cooking, swimming, gardening, and learning more about medicinal plants.

If you could read the mind of anyone you know, who would it be?
my husband!

keep the questions coming!

i was just kidding about the beer and cigarettes thing. really my favorite is to take a bath or lay in bed reading, feeling my baby wiggle around!
