Here are the first of your get to know you questions! :)

What kind of birth are you planning on having (home, hospital, birth center)?

What experiences, if any, have influenced how you view birth?

What are you most excited about and most scared about with having another child?

Have you told your dd yet that she's going to be a big sister? If yes, how has she reacted?

What five aspects of your life are most important to you?

What, if anything, have you taken into motherhood from how you were raised? What, if anything, have you left behind?

Do you feel the need to do more special stuff/spend more time now with your first child now that another is on the way?

Yikes - It's been such a busy weekend! I am just now sitting down to the computer!

We are having a homebirth this time around, which is soooo exciting.

When I was pregnant with my daughter my OB was a God and I didn't question him. I wound up with an induction at 41 weeks. It was not a horrible experience but I felt like something was off - I felt very strongly that I (and healthy women in general) were not meant to give birth in such a medicalized and cold environment. So I read every book I could get my hands on - anything that had to do with natural birth/home birth. I educated myself and became a childbirth educator. I needed the hospital experience to open my eyes and to realize the amazing power and strength of my body.

I am most excited about experience birth again and seeing how my daughter will interact with her new sister, I am most nervous about sleep deprivation and having enough time and energy to care for two kids.

Cady doesn't get the gravity of having a new sister because she is only 19 months old, but she knows there is a baby in mommy's belly. She kisses my belly all of the time and comes to all of the midwife appointments.

Hmmm...5 aspects of my life that are most important to me? My marriage, my family life, my health, my friendships and my relationship with myself.

I don't think I have taken very much from my childhood-nothing that I can think of actually. I parent the opposite of how my parents raised me. My mother was a drug addict who I saw only a handful of times since I was 2 and my father and step mother we prone to rages and were physically abusive to the kids and emotionally to each other. My house is the opposite of how I grew up. I have a sense of peace I never had when they were around.

I don't really feel the need to spend more time and do extra things with dd because I stay at home with her and plan activities everyday anyway (to keep my sanity). I have been letting my dh take over every once in a while and their relationship has grown trememdously in the past months. I feel confident that I'm giving her the love and attention she needs but also that she's getting the same from her father. Whoa - heavy questions! :)

Hi Jocelyn!

What's your favorite color? Favorite color to wear?

What's your favorite time of year?

What are some of you favorite hobbies?

I have no current favorite foods. I went through a Frosted Mini-wheat stage for a while. I like extra tomatoes and pickles on everything but I was lke that before I got pg.

Most foods agree with me, although eggs have been sceeving me out lately.

My favorite color is blue although I'll wear anything out that doesn't have (too many) stains on it. :lol

I love the spring and summer equally and I hate the winter.

I don't have much time for hobbies but in my spare time I read a lot and do random craft projects for house.

If you could recover one thing you've lost in your lifetime, what would you wish to find? :p

Do you have any favourite childhood memories?

If you could live anywhere in the world but where you are, and money/job requirements were no object, where would you go and why?

Geez - I guess I would have to say lost time- I wish I could have back all the time I've spent doing menial things. I always feel like I'm losing time...

My favorite childhood memories were summers down the shore with my family. My brother and sisters and I would spend all day in the ocean and we would walk the boardwalk and get water ice in the evening. I loved summers down the shore.

Seriously, I would move back to New Jersey. Most of my family is there and I think it's such a cool area because you are near DC, phila, NYC, and the shore - plus I would love to live near a WaWa. I miss NJ.

Is there any particular tradition you hope to pass down to your kids?
If you received $1000 with the specific direction to only spend it on yourself, what might you get?
