First of all, i don't want this to turn into a thread stating all of the reasons why i shouldn't have a csection. obviously if a vaginal delivery was possible for me, i would be running in that direction. sometimes, though, things don't work out the way they "should" . i have to have the csection. i have spent loads of time discussing with my dr that i want it to be as "natural " as it can, and i am at peace with how things are going to proceed.

having said all of that, i am scheduled for friday morning at 8 am. i cna't believe i am going to have her in my arms by friday. 5 days. my boys are so excited!please keep us in your thoughts on friday am, and send me some good healing vibes over the weekend!

Good luck! My sister made her delivery date as memorable as possible by scheduling some extra special time for her and her DH the day before and said it was wonderful for her not to have the stress of not knowing. congrats and get some extra pampering in this week if you can.

Yippee!!! My c-section is scheduled for 8:30am (PST) this Thursday, so our babies will be a day apart in age. :D

I wish you well with your section ~ I hope your procedure goes smoothly, with no complications whatsoever, and that you are able to have everything go the way you've planned.

I had my last appointment/pre-op visit with my ob today and we went over my birth plan. Like you, I want this section to be as natural as possible, and she was in complete agreement with everything I asked for (she's had 2 sections of her own, so is fully sympathetic/understanding).

Here's hoping we both have beautiful births and that our babies are healthy. I look forward to reading your birth story!!! :thumb

I'm so excited for both of you! I'm wondering when my little one is going to decide to show. MIL had lots of luck with 33 (March 3) at Bingo, so she thinks my baby will be born Friday, too! Maybe our babies will share a birthday!

Best of luck to both of you as your baby's birthing time gets very close!
I'm wondering, what sort of things did you request for a more natural cesarean?

best wishes for a wonderful birth experience. I too have to have a csection and I am scheduled for March 7th and have written my birth plan in such a way to make it as "natural" as possible...

congratulations....

I too would love to hear what folks are doing to make their cesareans more natural. I am planning for a VBAC later this month but if all doesn't go as planned, I'd sure like to have some ideas for ways to make the best of a repeat cesarean...
