When will labor start?

I am 37 and a half weeks and my lower back aches, I have dull menstral like cramps, tons of braxton hicks, and want to sleep constantly. Does this mean early type labor? It's been going on for a few days. I was induced with my ds and so I have no idea what will naturally happen.

Could be! If your labor slows down or stops when you change activity (rest if you've been busy, or take a walk if you're sitting still), or shower, or sleep, then it's probably still too early to do anything.

Sounds like me. I am in my 37th week. I've been crampy for a few weeks. Last week the lower back started to ache, as did braxton hicks (I hate them, they just mess with you!). I went to midwife last Tuesday and I am 80% effaced and 3 cm dilated. But I've been check twice since then (yesterday) and there has been no change..........

we thought for sure I'd go this past weekend (especially since DD came at 37 weeks) but nothing. It's a mind game at this point I think!! I am so ready!

As of today my midwife checked me and I am 1cm dialated and 80% effaced! He has been engaged for a couple weeks. She said she could feel his head internally. Things are moving along! Can't wait to meet this little guy.

Thanks for the info. Looks like things are moving along for all of us. I'm getting exited.:D
