Hi Cindi! It's your turn to get to be known!
How are you doing? (OK you can ignore that one :lol)
Did you suspect that you were having twins, or did it come as a complete surprise?
Has this pregnancy been different from your first? How?
What is the weather like where you live? Is there anything you would change about that?

Hi!
Heh, heh...I'm doing FINE!
The twins were a complete surprise! Up until the last 3 weeks or so, when I've started to grow much faster, my pregnancy has been remarkably similar to my first--no m/s, tons of insomnia, generally feel fairly normal (well, except the peeing every 15 minutes!). Now I notice I tire much more easily, so all my ambitious plans to keep on XC skiing and working out have really gone out the window.
The weather is generally lovely here--it is almost always sunny, and when we have snow, it lingers for just a few days, then melts. If we want to go to snow, though, all we have to do is head up into the mountains. The temperatures are pretty moderate, with a few cold, windy days now and then, and a couple weeks' stretch of hot in the summer. I wouldn't change a thing; I LOVE living in Colorado.

Your DD is almost the same age as my youngest - does she have any idea what's going on or any concept of the baby?
(I really just wanted to say I love Colorado too. I was born in Boulder, but did most of my growing up in New Mexico.)
Do you have any favourite childhood memories?
If you could spend one year (and one year only!) living anywhere -- price/work situation no object -- where would you go and why?

Do you live near any extended family? How do you feel about that?
Any pets?
What's your favorite way to spend a day?

Hi Cindi!
What are your favorite lines/quotes from a movie, song, or book?
What's your favorite time of year? Why?
What's your favorite color? Favorite color to wear?
What do you picture yourself doing with your children in 5 years?
just want to add i am so totally envious whenever you mention xc ski. i miss that so much, but happy to hear someone gets to enjoy it! not too many opportunities to do that where i live (twice in 10 years unless i visit my homestate during the winter).

I'm not sure she really does yet...she points to my stomach and says, "babies!" But, of course, she does it to her own stomach, her daddy's stomach, the dog's stomach...:lol
I think June/July will be a pretty rude awakening for her!

None specifically, but I fondly recall the summers running free like a wild child with my best friend around the neighborhood, swimming in the public pool until our hair turned green, then coming home and stuffing ourselves on Ritz crackers with peanut butter. That was pretty nice!
I'd gladly spend one year living in Italy (not sure about southern or northern, but not Naples or Rome), because I've lived there before, speak the language fluently, love the food and wine and adore the Italian family and food-centered lifestyle. Mmmmmm....can't wait to go back!

We live about 1/2 hour away from my two SILs/BILs and Hannah's one cousin, and about 3 1/2 hours away from the MIL/FIL. I generally enjoy it, except the holidays where it's "expected" that we'll be spending all our time with them. My parents still live in MN, so our time with them is pretty sparse.
We currently have just one little dog (Cairn terrier named Gilda). Our lovely old black lab died on Halloween, and we have decided to wait a bit to get Gilda a buddy. But, we couldn't live without at least one dog!

How did your husband/partner react to the news of twins?

I have three favorite quotes (all of which are posted on the screen on my computer, just to remind me!):
"Get busy living or get busy dying." (Shawshank Redemption)
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance." (Socrates)
"Today is the day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalms?...have the quote on my computer at work, so I don't recall for sure!)
My favorite time of year is right now, when winter is just starting to hint at spring, and I get to start planning my garden and enjoying the outdoors without being very bundled up.
My favorite color is red, but I like wearing peach or green.
Hmmmm....I hope in 5 years I have not lost all my sanity! I also hope that we can start to do more traveling with the kids by then.

How did your husband/partner react to the news of twins?
We reacted in pretty much the same way ("Holy sh*t! Really???? That's pretty cool!")...so, it was nice to be both on the same page--initial shock, followed by acceptance pretty quickly.

What, if anything, did you take away from how you were raised to employ in your own mothering? What, if anything, did you discard?
Any wierd bodily changes with this pregnancy (for example, I tried to dye my hair and it turned orange)?
What is the best thing your mother ever did for you?

Hmmm...good questions! Well, I guess, I'll try to achieve some middle-of-the-road between my IL's parenting style (overly controlling) and my parents' (overly permissive). My parents weren't afraid to let me make mistakes on my own--sometimes that was good, sometimes bad--and I hope to have the strength to do the same.
No weird changes *yet*...am 'anxiously' awaiting the return of my racing stripe (linea nigra) that I sported when PG with Hannah. It was pretty dark!
Hmmm...the best thing my mother ever did for me? This sounds horrible, but I really can't think of one specific thing...maybe that she never imposed boundaries on my capabilities. She would have supported me equally if I'd chosen to be a mechanic (like my dad) or go on to higher education (as I did).

Do you have any favorite springtime activities?
Have you had any strange food cravings with this pregnancy?
(sorry, it's train-of-thought time over here!)
