... due to spotting. no heavy lifting, no sex, no exercise ... take it easy, feet up for a couple of days. :( i think the advice nurse that i spoke with at my m/w's office was overreacting, and i really think if i'd been able to talk to my m/w, she'd say no biggie, but dh seems to think she's right. sigh.

up side? i may get to FINALLY catch up on posts around here this weekend! i think i'm about 2 weeks behind right now. :o

Sorry to hear that. I hope you enjoy the relaxation time despite the not-so-nice circumstances. :)

I'm with the other mamas - try to take what good you can from the bedrest - - and get your fill of us while you can! :wink

It's hard, and it's a bummer! Better safe than sorry, though. I bet it's no big deal, but I'm glad you're listening to their advice.

So, how ya feelin'?

Sue, bummer your ordered to take bedrest, but i feel the body will do what it takes to get what it needs. Take advantage of the term and rest! Get caught up on the easy things.
Spring is right around the corner, you'll be up and running around again in no time, but will be a bit more rested for it:love

I was ordered the same thing when I spotted in December. It stinks, but hang in there. Both the OB at the ER and my MW agreed on this one, so I think it is probably a universal protocol.

yes, I agree- happy to see you around, but bummer about the circumstances. How's your son handling the bedrest thing?

Enjoy it while it's here, but MAN, what a pain in the butt! I hope I don't get put on bedrest, because I know I'd become the most demanding crazy person there ever was, shouting orders from the couch. I wouldn't blame DH if he gagged me. At least you'll be up and moving in a little while (during nicer weather!), and really, how many naps and solid nights of sleep are you likely to be getting in a few months? Stock up, my dear, stock up.

hey everyone! i'm still here ... i'm feeling basically fine, except for some nasty charlie horse in my thigh that won't leave me alone ... upped my cal-mag which is taking the edge off.

toddler was handling this just fine yesterday, but he's sick of it today. my dh is not feeling well, so he's not really a great help - however, he is getting dinner.

i've been chatting with my friend ... who had a baby boy this morning ... at home ... 12 lbs 5 ozs, 23 inches ... (WOW!) ... no tears ... 41 weeks exactly ... her third boy. :love

oops - dinner's ready! i'll be back later.

back ... anyway, the concensus does seem to be that if i don't stop spotting by monday, i'll have to go in and get checked out. it stopped a bit after my nap today, but started again a little while ago. sigh.
