About a week ago I got a horrible rash on the back of my neck and up around my cheeks. It was so itchy and bumpy! First I thought I had eaten something that made me break out, but as it turned out, I was having an allergic reaction to the new detergent.
Thing is, I'm not usually allergic to this detergent - normally I buy one for sensitive skin since my partner prefers it, but I had a memory lapse and bought the regular one, and as result had this itchy rash (it's gone now though). Could this be an indicator that baby could be sensitive to it, or am I just imagining that posibility?

I don't know about baby being sensitive to it, but I've suddenly developed a sensitivity to Tide. I have an itchy rash on the sides of my waist and partially on my back. My DD was sensitive to it as a baby, so I'm betting this one will be as well, but more because DD was than because I'm having this rash. I'm attributing the rash to yet another weird pg symptom! :lol

I have no clue! I used to be really allergic to detergent growing up, and we could only use Dreft. My hubby liked Tide, so we used that for awhile, but when I was pregnant, everything made me itch....I got up one night, and demanded the sheets be changed! It was horrible!!! We switched to Baby stuff, and that's all I buy now! Lilly Grace seems to have sensitive skin too, so I think we'll be a Baby using household! (especially since I'm pregnant now, and she's only 8 months!!!)

I guess being pregnant, my skin is much more sensitive.
Oh well - at least I figured out the problem (after first panicing, searching google and panicing even more (liver failure?? OMG, I'm going to die!)).

My skin has gotten drier and more itchy in general b/c pregnancy. I just started slathering shea butter all over the place (a bar of 100% shea butter is the best) and it seems to help; good luck!!
