I thought surely since this is my 5th child I would be feeling the little booger by now.. at 16 weeks. But really I can't say I have really felt him/her yet. Sometimes when I am in a sitting position I think I feel somthing pretty low. But I have layed in bed for an hour at night hoping to feel a little bump.. and nothing. I heard the heartbeat last week, but things don't really feel seem "real" to me until I feel the baby. Anybody else?

The movement seems really inconsistent to me. It seems like days go by and I don't feel anything. I think part of it is the fact you are so distracted by your other kids. And remember, they don't pack much of a whallop at this point!

Mel, I feel the same way... no movement yet, not really feeling very pregnant. I'm not worried, I just want it to happen! :) I'm 18 weeks, but this is my first. Where in PA are you?

I feel the baby from time to time. But it's only one movement at a time. Plus I only catch it if I'm being really still/quiet at the moment (like laying down to go to sleep). So I know that baby is ok, but I don't really catch/feel most of the movements just yet.

I heard the heartbeat at 11 weeks, I am almost 15 now and I feel things moving around down there but I don't think it's the baby as the feeling is more under my ribs. I don't think I felt my first until between 18 and 20 weeks so I'm not worried yet although I'd like to feel the little one!

I'm 18 weeks and just in the last 4-5 days have I really noticed movement...mostly when I'm laying down in bed or on the couch...before that I was feeling what I thought MIGHT be thumps every few days. This is my 4th child and I was getting nervous!

I might have felt some movement, but I'm really not sure. I had definitely felt DD by this point. I do think that part of it is that I'm busy with her and not paying attention as much. I remember lying in bed all of the time waiting to feel her first kicks. Sounds like an absolute dream right now!

there have been a couple times where i thought i felt something. once after my yoga class i felt like a buzzing/swarm of bees on my right side. and once before bed i thought what felt like small bubbles popping or small knocking. i'm 18 weeks (first baby) and i have been waiting and waiting to start feeling the baby. this weekend i thought i woke my husband up in the middle of the night to tell him i really felt the baby moving (the buzzing again, but on the right side) and i swore he sat up, because i was all excited. but the next morning when i asked him if he remembered this happening, he didn't. so now i don't know if i dreamt that or not!

Hi there. I'm glad I'm not the only one not feeling much. I'm in NEPA although I am moving soon out of state.

That's comforting! I guess I should just be a little more patient and give it a few weeks.

And you know what seems so weird to me? I started showing a lot more this past week or two. So, it just seems weird that I look so big but baby is still so small.

oh thank goodness! i've been so nervous this time around - no morning sickness, now no movement at 18+ wks. Especially when I have all these clients due around my time who have been feeling the baby moving for weeks. I can't figure it out either, because my belly is huge and everytime we listen with the doptone, we can hear the babe moving nonstop! for some reason, i'm alot more paranoid this time around. i think maybe i'm more aware that things do go wrong. i can't wait for my sono next week. no doubt in no time at all we'll all be moaning about these kiddos moving nonstop!

Nope, nothing at all at almost 16 weeks. With my first it was ridiculously late, 25 weeks or so. So not worried yet, tho I would definitely like to feel movement a bit sooner this time.

I'm 19 weeks with our first child. I definitely haven't felt kicks or flutters. I do think I feel her position inside. Right now she's on the right side. I wish I felt a kick or thump.

With my first I don't think I felt anything until 22 weeks or so. I thought I'd *never* feel anything. This time, I felt the baby move for the first time ridiculously early - dh has even been able to feel it.

I have had really good luck feeling the baby move when lying on my stomach (this is now hard since I'm quite big) and lying on my left side. Not sure why those work, but they do (for me at least). Also, as with most babies, much more active at night...

Wouldn't you know, yesterday I was laying down for a nap and got a whole lot of REALLY good thumps! It was so cool. This is my fifth baby and it's still so amazing to me..

Well, I felt something a few weeks back when I ate Mexican (I am 17 weeks) but then nothing that I could be SURE about, although I keep feeling like it COULD be the baby (first timer so I am not positive) until ironically I started reading this post. And I swear I could feel obvious movement off and on for about 20 seconds! Maybe the baby knew what I was reading :D . I also think the baby is on the right side...OH, there is another kick!:lol :bouncy

There are days that I do feel the baby and days that I don't. My DH is worried because we haven't heard a HB yet... our one and only OB appt is the 21st. I know the bugger is happy as a lark, but it's difficult for him to realize that.

I definitely go a day or two without feeling anything, though it may be that I'm just not sitting still enough to notice. That's always happened to me, sometimes 4 days will go by, until the last trimester when I start feeling movement almost constantly.

I think that's what happens here, too. I am so busy chasing the other two around and working that by the end of the day, I am just too tired to notice. The other two I felt much more... hopefully that means that this one will be much calmer than the other two!
