Is it just a myth or do women seem to go into labor around a full moon? If so, we are lucky because the full moon is next tuesday. haha.

Creeping in from the May board...

EVERY single one of my kids (thus far) was born on the full moon.:p

When I visited the L&D rooms all the nurses were talking about the full moon and how busy they get every month at that time. A few even told me not to listen to anyone that said it was an old wives tale because they see it all the time. lol I'm a witch and fully believe in the power of the moon...no need to convince me!!

Well, I least I have next Tues. to look forward to, but I really don't want to go that long.

When I toured the L&D floor it was a full moon and every room was full, in both hospitals.

The doctors and studies deny it....but a lot of nurses swear by it. I'm either hoping for that night or the 20th (1st day of Spring). It'll be interesting to see who arrives on the night of the Full Moon, won't it?

I'm a nurse and this happens all over the place, while working in the prison and also in the nursing homes, we'd have more liveliness during the full moon. I did my L&D rotation during the full moon and I was very busy, whereas other students had dull weeks....I bet if you ask police officers, emt's, etc, they'll probably tell you there's something to it, also!

I was due Friday, so I'm hoping this happens before then, but it's my last hope for now, lol.

Funny thing is I thought she'd be born on the full moon in November, since my first 2 were early. Little did I know she had other plans. :lol

I'm not due until around the new moon at the end of the month, but ds was born on a full moon. My mw said she wouldn't be surprised if I went into labor on the full moon. As long as it's this months! I don't want to be giving birth April 13th!

Full moon is tomorrow! I can't wait to see how many babies are born over the next couple of days. :) I sure wouldn't mind...but the only day I don't want to have her is the 17th...love all things Irish...have issues with St Patrick. lol
