"Patience, patience, patience" is my mantra. For some reason, I think I'm more impatient this time around than I was with ds, even though he was my first. I knew first babies tended to be later, and I thought my date should have been pushed back 2 weeks, anyways. So, I didn't really expect him until later.
But, this time around I was charting. Since ds came when I had thought he was due, I kind of thought this baby would be closer to my due date. My mw has said all along that it would probably be longer, though. I should've listened, and told everyone "mid-march." It might be easier to be patient if everyone else wasn't so darn impatient! :lol Actually, it's sweet that this baby is as eagerly anticipated by family and friends as ds was.
It would be nice if I could see SOME signs that things were starting, though. Yesterday, the babe felt SO low, and it actually seemed like I oculd feel the baby pressing on my cervix. But, today the baby seems higher again. I know that's common for a second baby, and I'm actually more comfortable now... but come on, give me something! Maybe a mucus plug?
Fortunately, I'm planning a hb with a CPM, so there's no pressure about hitting the "magical" 42 weeks or anything. I'm not even trying any natural induction methods. I'm just anxious to meet my new little baby. But, I know the baby will come when (s)he is ready, and it will be the perfect time.
"Patience, patience, patience."
