I have been 3cm dilated and 80% effaced for almost 3 weeks now. Baby has dropped and I feel like it can't get much lower! It is uncomfortable to walk, sit and drive!

Monday, mw stripped my membranes but nothing more than cramps and irregular contractions. I am still losing some mucous plug but that is probably from what she did.

Anyway, yesterday I got this really sharp, painful shooting pain in what seems like my cervix. Like the kid just punched me or something! I have lots of pressure too. Anybody experience any thing like this? I cannot imagine I can have this much pressure much longer......but really no reliable 'signs'!

You & I are in the same boat :lol, I've been 3-4 cm for a month now & 90% effaced, babe has been at zero station for a couple of weeks. I hear ya about the pressure, feels like this bugger's living in my butt! Every time I sit down, it feels like I am pushing him farther up my arse! Ugh. I walk for a while & then the pressure becomes unbearable. My Dd's were NOT this low/uncomfortable.

At least we're almost half of the way through labor already (from a dilation stand point :wink.)

We dtd last night, hoping to get something going.....nada. And you'd think if I were thise "ripe" that a little prostaglandin deposit would do *something*!
