Hi
Im 34 weeks with a breech baby. I was wondering if having a previous c section makes it more differcult to have a breech vaginal birth? I have had a normal delivery with my first so i know i can give birth. Would anyone advise against a breech birth?
Thanks:shy

Nope, no difference. Cervix dilates, baby comes out, no difference to your scar whether it's head up or head down. Have you checked that your CP (if you have one) is appropriate and will support you in birthing your baby vaginally without interventions? Plenty go into a panic over breech :(

Are you having a Dr., or midwife attend the birth? I really wanted a vaginal birth the first time, but couldn't find anyone in my area that attended breech vaginal births. :-(

You are lucky if you have someone that atteneds a breech vaginal birth. It is sad, because years ago, they never even knew if the baby was breech, until it presented, and the dr.'s knew how to deliver. I guess now the fear of lawsuits is so great and they don't teach it anymore to the Dr.'s. Easier for them to just do a c-section.

I am planning a home breech birth. My midwives have little concerns about it being a VBAC, other than the usual. You don't want to chemically induce due to increase in ruputure. I am 2 days overdue so we are working on some gentle induction. This is also a first VB for me but I have good midwives who faith in my body to do this.

Here's hoping your baby turns and you don't have to worry about this much.

I just wanted to jump in and say that a friend of mine had a glorious footling breech home VBA2C just yesterday! She was assisted by "the" midwife in the area who is experienced delivering breech babies and everything went well!

Good luck to all of the breech mamas out there! You can do it!

Breech VBAC is definitely possible. My only reservation about it would be making sure that my CP is experienced and knows how to handle a breech birth.

As a previous post mentioned, there is a girl on ICAN that just gave birth VBA2C to a footling breech just yesterday.

Have you been doing anything to see if you can get baby to turn? Going to a chiropractor that does the Webster technique? Moxabustion? accupuncture? spinningbabies.com ? laying upside down on an ironing board? doing flips in a swimming pool? Would you consider a version?

Baby has plenty of time to move, but if he/she doesn't a breech VBAC is still an option.
