Hi All,
Well, today marks week 37, with 21 days left to the EDD and I'm going NUTS!! :nut The birth stories posted here are so inspiring. I just want to have my baby so very badly. I spend way too much time in this chat room--AND--I work full time. So bad, but I just care so little about work. All I can think about is the baby, getting ready for the baby, and going home to be a mom to my 4-year old. Any others feeling this way?
I had a prenatal appt. today. I thought it would do some good to hear the baby's heartbeat and that I've grown, the baby's grown, etc. but really-no. I just want to see my little girl so badly. Luckily, I have actually been about 80% less grumpy and have been feeling physically more comfortable than I have in months. Odd, I know. The bladder situation, however, has gotten distinctly more troublesome. I think I can only hold about 2 tablespoons before needing to use the restroom.
Sadly, I have no urges to clean my bathroom light bulbs or putty up any holes in the walls so I don't think I'm nesting yet. Still early, I know.

Im 37.5 weeks here...
I had been having what feels like really mild AF cramps for the past few days and come to find out- duh- those are little contractions! Had a Dr visit today, I am 1cm dialated and 50% effaced (sp?). She said I could go "any time!" which I guess could mean tonight, could mean next week, donno!!
I was spinning my wheels till I went to the Dr, now I am in ho-leee crap gotta get stuff done mode haha! (And here I am... posting.. LOL)

Hi, end-of-March EDD buddies.
My situation is a LOT like yours, cohorvath. I've got a pile of budgets I need to figure out in the next 2 hours, and what am I doing?..... I'm pathetic.
Kellykins, what you're feeling sounds just like my very early labor w/ DS. Maybe you'll be meeting your baby soon...how exciting!

I'm full of stuff to do! Gads, my days have been so full. And now I'm over 40 weeks -- it really is "any day now," or at least I hope so!!

Really?
Yea, I made sure all my bills were caught up last night, made sure all the laundry was done, and ran the Roomba around... Still have to install the carseat and finish packing a go-bag... Feeling this huge sense of urgency to get things done. No wierd cleaning urges, but that sense of urgency.
I also had a tummyache (tummyache like if you drank too much milk and got hot..) and a hard time sleeping last night. :(
I hope that this isn't jsut a teaser- that things will happen and I dont camp out at 1cm for the next 2 weeks. :P

Sorry Kellykins, dilation means *nothing*, don't mean to burst your bubble :).
I've been 3-4 cm for a month & 80-90% effaced for just as long.....babe has been zero station for at least 3 weeks now & nada!
I didn't really expect anything early - my EDD is Sunday & my other two were right on time, despite also being 4cm for a month, etc.....same thing each time.
Darned cervical checks, always getting our hopes up!

Well KellyKins, I hope your urgency is building up to something fun!! I keep hoping mine will kick in but all I'm getting so far is an urge to sleep and drink lots of water.
Not sure why but I wake up thirsty all of the time. By late morning I'm fine, but man every morning I'm super thirsty.

Dang that stinks to hear. :P
I keep feeling more twinges, little pains in my cervix region though today. Maybe it's just me being hopeful, but seems like things might still be happening?
I donno- gotta wait and see!!
Can't hurt to have everything done early anyhow!

I STILL haven't had any cervical checks! I saw my nmw yesterday and thought she might offer one, in fact my mom was surprised and asked about it when she didn't, and she said, "I generally err on the side of less intervention." I'm somewhat curious but totally willing to wait!
