Ok....so I know I am not known for my sappiness, but I have to share something that has kind of taken me by surprise. I realize that pregnancy makes a women more emotional than usual, but never in a million years would I have guessed that I feel the way I do. So....here it goes....

I am amazed at how much I look forward to going to bed at night. DH is out of town during the week and normally I would dread the thought of going to sleep without him, but since I have been pregnant I have noticed that I can hardly wait to take a shower at night so that I can get into bed afterwards and wait to feel my baby kick. This feeling has got to be the best feeling I have ever experienced. After going through two mc's and thinking that I might never be able to have a child of my own, it gives me chills to think of how excited I am to feel my baby kick. With every movement I feel from him, it is as though he reassures me that he's alright and growing every day. Most nights I wake in the middle of the night just to wait and feel for him to kick. I wonder if he realizes how much his karate chops mean to me?

Does anyone else have any special pregnancy moments that they would like to share with the rest of us? :)

:love This is my favorite time too. I lie there and watch the bumping around, telling myself if I keep this up I'll never finish a single knitted item, but I can't help it.

I'm not getting as much time to just sit and feel the baby move as I did with DS. This baby isn't quite big enough yet, but I remember with DS sitting in the warm tub and watching my belly bump :D

It will be a little bit longer since my placenta is up front (again) before I'll get some good water rippling thumps hehe

This is my favorite time of day too! :love
The days are so busy, with work and kids and everything else. But no matter how tired I am at the end of the day, I get in bed and lie on my back and sit for 20-30 minutes, just feeling the baby. DH falls asleep almost instantly and I get my quiet, baby-loving time. I really feel that it helps me connect with the baby, which is otherwise difficult with so many other things going on.

Bedtime is my favorite too! DH isn't here (he's deployed :( ) but I have my toddler curled up in the crook of my arm, nursing to sleep, and my little one inside doing her acrobatics. :love I can't wait for DH to get back so he can feel her too!

Oh, and usually at least a half-dozen cats curled up around my legs and feet. :lol

My dd was my first after a loss at 22 weeks. She was such a wonderful fetus. SHe moved a little each hour to reassure me. Now that she's here, I realize she's just busy. She never stops moving. I haven't been able to feel this baby much and i hate it. My placenta is anterior so it acts like a pillow. But I think I trust my body a little more this time to protect this baby. I started feeling her a couple weeks ago down low and to the right side. It seems that in the mornings are the best time. Like it's been quiet all night and she's come ouot of hiding. In the evening, it's like she's hiding out from the craziness and the noise. So when I first wake up, I lay in bed and tap at her and such.

This thread is reminding me that every moment is precious. My little guy is so active that he's actually starting to hurt me, when he is breech and kicks my cervix and bladder it makes me jump! But for the most part I really enjoy it and every little roll that makes my belly do the wave is exciting......

The other night I saw the kicking from the outside (as opposed to just feeling it) and it was so awesome! It's amazing what our bodies can do, isn't it?
