that's what we want to do. I just loved waiting...like waiting for a Christmas present. The longer you wait, the better the surprise. I just loved the image of my DH running up to the baby, hands in the air waving, and then "IT'S A GIRL!" THat was the best.

Yep, we are! I love the surprise too (though in my heart I'm almost totally certain it's a girl this time). I can't wait to discover it myself. :)

Definitely. We do it very quietly, no announcing. Both my husband and I check between the legs together and then look at each other and then call the baby by name. It's so much fun that way. I just love surprises. After 9 long months it's good to have that moment to look forward to.

I wish my DH could wait. We are having a homebirth, but we have an appt with an OB next week and he wants to see everything! I'd like to wait, but he won't!
Also, financially, it stinks because we have to pay out of pocket for the U/S, etc. It's our only trip to an OB and we elected not to have maternity insurance. Yuck!
I so wish that he had the patience to wait, but this is the ONE thing that he's not allowing me to change his mind on.

I'm waiting! But I know it's a boy in my heart and by the way this pregnancy is going. No matter what sex it is, I will love this baby until the end of time :love
Nevertheless, strangers and family is starting to piss me off because they think it's necessary to know so you can prepare. I respond I'll be prepared no matter what.

We're definitely waiting. I can't wait to be surprised! I have a huge fear that if we decide to do the 20-wek u/s the OB will accidentally tell us, or that we'll see for ourselves somehow. I would be crushed with disappiontment.

We are waiting also. With our first 4 we didn't find out, I LOVE being the one to look and tell everyone the gender. I love choosing two sets of names, I love having two sets of clothes waiting and ready. With our 5th baby I had an accident at 20 weeks and while the tech was assessing the damage to the placenta he looked and w/out asking said "oh, its a girl". I couldn't keep it a secret as I would refer to "her" in conversation with family and friends. I felt exposed (for lack of a better word) that others knew something so intimate about my baby that was growing in my body. If we have another u/s this time I will be sure and express my wishes before the tech/ob even gets started!

We are waiting too. I love the announcement and going back and forth wondering what it would be like to have a boy or a girl (though I am sure this one is a girl).
