I have the Kenmore 16655. I need HA-1SP size 11-14. Joann's doesn't carry them and the sew shop didn't have them either. I will try hancocks but its farther away than I want t drive. Denver Fabrics has such a small assortment of notions I doubt they will have them. Plus they are really far away. Where do you get your needles? When I asked the sew shop lady and told her my brand of serger which is really a Janome, but Kenmore for Sears she gave me a horrid look and said I will have trouble finding anything for it:( Then looked even more shocked when I said I was making diapers and ran over a snap for the soaker. LOL Don't mind that part, just the look because it's a Kenmore. I did a google search and it cam up with just a few online places to get them.

I was going to say Sears too.
I get mine from my dealer (husquvarna).

I've been using universal sewing machine needles.

eBay. Many of the different-numbered needles are actually the same thing. And my serger actually uses universals just like my sewing machine does. (so convenient!)
But since you have a Kenmore, why not try getting some at Sears?
And gosh darnit, if you live anywhere near Denver fabrics, I am SOOOO jealous of you. I love that place! Especially their closeout/precuts store. OMG>..fabric heaven!

I've been using Schmetz universal needles in my serger (I have a White Speedylock 1634).

I use universals in my Kenmore serger and have for the last 4 years with no issues.

I haven't had to go beyond the needles that were included in the little toolbox thingy yet, but I'm pretty sure these are regular sewing machine needles? (I have a Kenmore too, obviously)

Universals here too--my sewing machine came with them (it was used, but I bought it from a sewing machine shop and those are the ones they gave me)

I forgot to check to see if there were needles in the goody bag it came with. LOL DUH! I checked and there they were. Funny thing is they say something different than what the machine says must be used.
Thanks Boscopup for reminding me.
Boingo82 Denver fabrics is where I get my MM fleece from since they carry some instock! They are closing there annex stores and having just the one store within the year. They also said they would be lowering prices. I guess they are tring to compete with the quilting stores who can out do their prices. They have a great selection of fabric, but their flannel is super expensive to me. $9-$10 a YARD crazy to me. The MM fleece is the same price as the flannel which boggles my mind.

Noooo!! I will have to make a trip out to see my inlaws again so I can stock up on their wool. I got the best wool jersey there last time for $7/yard. I did not look at the flannel, but I got stretch cotton velour for $3/yard! They can't close the annex!!
