I am watching Birth Day Live and I cannot turn the channel. I must like torturing myself. :lol They just gave a woman a c-section because her baby WAS breech and she was emotionally prepared for a c-section, even though the baby was now vertex. Oh yeah, and she was only 4'11" and they baby COULD be too big for her. :irked: I am sooo glad I had my twins at home! A twin birth is coming up soon, c-section of course. :angry

I watched about 10 minutes until I got too upset to watch anymore. Did anyone else see that woman who asked her friends to vote on whether or not she should have an elective c-section!?:irked: Her whole nonchalant manner about the situation saddened me, she acted like she was choosing what flavor of ice cream to get. I saw that most of the births were unnecesary c-sections(suprise, suprise) and I finally turned it off.

I watched it too this week :innocent and was bothered by the women who decieded not to breastfeed because it was just too much pain for her, after having to endure the pain of the c-sec. I thought that was kind of crappy.

I try to avoid watching shows like this because I get so angry. As a woman who has suffered two unwanted and almost forced Cesareans, I get VERY, VERY MAD at these women's nonchalant attitudes about cesareans. And having friends vote on whether to have a major, unnessecary surgery is insulting. Ugh!! (Can you tell it angers me?!)

Thank goodness my next little one will be born at home :)

I know I shouldn't watch these shows. Dh was very amused about how angry I was getting. :lol I do like House of Babies, though. So far all the births I have seen have been natural and most in the water. I got sucked into watching Birth Day since it was LIVE.

I am so annoyed that the women are pushing their babies out and they have microphones in their faces and people asking them how they feel. The whole thing creeps me out way to much - my dh made me turn it off and back away slowly.

i feel the same way....those shows just make me furious. at everyone involved. I watched one the other day that said "natural birth" . they were sooo concerned about her having a big baby but yet...she was still on her back. the doc was all nice and comfy but if they were that concerned about bigness and shoulder distocia etc, why not help her out? she had a major tear.

it was the only one i've watched in a year or so and that last!
