Has anyone read this book? What do you think, is it worth buying?

Loved it-Elizabeth Pantley also has one for Toddlers and Preschoolers now as well. Her tips are very helpful. Its not so much a "method" book as a helpful tips for different situations.:thumb

That book is wonderful, I would definatly get it no matter how old your children are...
We solved many of our sleep problems with tips from her ideas!

yes, this is the best book for helping you sleep train your child in a gentle, loving way without CIO. I buy it as a gift for all my pregnant friends along with Dr Sear Baby Book.

I got it when ds was a baby (3 months or so) and feel it was definately worth it's price as it helped me avoid some common "mistakes" we make. Sure, ds has OTHER sleep issues, but not the ones most common to others.

I am now reading no cry sleep for toddlers to get some ideas.

I got it out from the library and read it. It's actually already been helpful with some of my daughter's sleep issues.

As a pp says, it pointed out some bad habits we were in that were negatively affecting her sleep. I liked that it's very solution-oriented. It's mostly a whole bunch of tips for this or that that may help.

I have 3 sleep books, and that's usually the one I recommend. I used it to nightwean over the course of 3 months for both at boys at 6-9 months old. Saved my sanity!

This book was helpful in pointing out how important naps are and establishing a bedtime routine, as well as getting our daughter to bed earlier and watching more closely for signs of tiredness. My daughter is going to bed at 7pm instead of 9-10 pm now, and goes to sleep much easier (most nights). Also, I place priority on naps, although, I don't force them.

The promise of baby sleeping through the night without nursing was very tempting, but didn't feel right to me! This is where I couldn't apply the book 100%.

But, overall the book has been great for us, my daughter is much better rested and happier since we've been able to get more sleep!:thumb
