Last night I dreamed I was pregnant with quadruplets! I'm sure it has something to do with the doctor mentioning the possibility of twins at my appointment yesterday. I've been weirded out ever since I woke up! :lol Oh well. It's still not as strange as one dream I had while pregnant with DS--in that one, I gave birth to a kitten!

I've been having strange dreams myself. Not many about the pregnancy though. Although I'm pregnant in a lot of them. I have had some about my son (my youngest), I think I'm having some anxiety about him not being the youngest anymore. I had similiar type dreams when I was pregnant with him about my eldest.

I always have strange dreams, but during all my pregnancies I have noticed they are very vivid and I remember more about them when I wake up. I had a dream the other night that my mom gave birth to a puppy, and I was so thrilled to have a new brother! (my mom thought it was hilarious)

Last time... nothing. I was so bummed! All my pregnant friends had these cool (if not sometimes scary) vivid dreams. I had one at the end of my pregnancy where I got my daughter out of a crib... and I had a son and we co-slept!

This time though... holy cow! I had this VIVID dream a few days before my BFP (the night after a BFN, actually) that I got a VERY positive pregnancy test. I had such a great time telling my husband and my best friend and our families. Then I woke up and was SO SAD because it wasn't true (ha) and I couldn't really tell anyone.

This afternoon while napping with my son, I had a dream that was all over the place. From shopping to out walking to going to Burger King (yuck!) that was a Mc Donalds (double yuck) inside. I was talking to a male counter-guy about natural birth when a "hamburgler" charcter floated in on a sailboat and started shooting packages of cookies at everyone while I was trying to change my son's diaper on a table. HUH?!?!

Really, though, it's been a ton of fun so far. I'm not one to regularly remember dreams, so I've been enjoying these, even though they're odd.

I have dreams where I'm nursing animals, kittens, baby raccoons. Their teeth are sharp!

When pg with Space Man (he must have been kicking a lot that night), I dreamed that I gave birth to a litter of something.... I can't even remember the animal... something cute, though. Kittens, or puppies, or lambs...

I also had a dream with him that he was born as a teenager.

With this pg, I had a dream a couple of days before I tested that I found out I was pg, actually 4 months along... I thought the kicking was gas until I could see hands and feet (like they were sticking out of my belly and my skin was stretched so thin over them that you could make out the shapes). I remember having a dream with Cat King that he was reaching way out while kicking and, again, I could see the shapes of his limbs and face. Weird.

The night after the pg dream, I dreamed that I had started my period. Bummer. I tested that day, I think. :D

Since then, I've had vivid dreams, mostly about dh. No, not *those* kinds of dreams... In one, we were at our high school grad, but it looked more like my elementary school. We were married and one of our kids was there. I saw Cat King (the only kid of ours in the dream) at one point, wearing some crazy plaids and stripes, being looked after with the kindy class who I guess was also graduating that night. I was in line with a couple of girls I knew from high school. We were all sitting on the stage during the ceremonies, there were performances going on. Then the MC announced that dh was going to attempt such-and-such a musical number. I snidely commented to the girl next to me that "attempt" was right (although dh is fairly musically talented). He came out on stage with a guitar (he's trying to learn now) and a trumpet (he played trombone, but has tried out the trumpet) and was singing. It was a beautiful song, quiet, with acoustic classical-type guitar, and then he would play the trumpet, kind of slow jazzy, not muted but subdued... it was SO vivid. Then the song cut to, like, thrashing electric guitar rock and he was jumping all around the stage. It went back and forth like that a couple of times. I heard all of the lyrics in my dream (when it was the quiet part of the song) but all I remember now is that it would always start with "Slippin'...." I forget the rest.

You guys bored yet? I have another :lol

This one was really long and complicated... but at the end of it, dh and I were at some kind of big store that also had a restaurant in it (like Ikea or Home Depot). We had met another couple there, they had a kid, and I was constantly worried about how poorly they were looking after him. At one point, I thought they were near a pool and not watching him, but once I came around the end of the aisle, I realized they were just talking about getting a pool (and ignoring the kid as they talked). We ended up (dh, I, and the couple) sitting together at a table at the restaurant to eat, and I ended up leaving to do something else for a while. By the time we were leaving, the guy from the other couple was drunk, the police had come and taken his keys or something so he couldn't drive. I hadn't seen all that happen. Then I go to our van, where dh is. This guy is in the driver's seat, his wife in the passenger, and their kid in one of the middle seats. Dh is in the back where Cuddlemonster's carseat is; our other kids are not around and Cuddlemonster seems to be a newborn. She was fussy and dh had her laying on his jacket in the seat next to him, instead of in her seat (they weren't going anywhere yet). I ask what's going on, and the drunk guy says he's driving. I look at dh, like -- WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? -- and he kind of slowly gets up to go talk to the guy. He's trying to be real laid back about it -- "C'mon, now, this is my van, I'll do the driving buddy," like almost like he's making a joke of it, and the drunk guy says no no, he's good to drive. I just about loose it and I tell this guy "This is OUR van and you will NOT drive it. You WILL get out NOW and let my dh drive!" And of course the drunk guy gets all angry and defiant, and my dh gets angry at me saying that was exactly what he was trying to avoid. So the drunk guy starts driving and I tell dh to go back and strap in Cuddlemonster. Things get rather blurry here... once I woke up, I imagined the ending as different, so although it was VERY vivid in my mind at the time, I don't really remember now. I tried calling the police on the woman's cell phone, and when either we crashed or someone shot a gun, I woke up wide awake before it *actually* happened in the dream, like a split second before.

I had very vivid dreams up until I found out we were pregnant.

We were on the fence about #3. I'm a SAHM and DH is a teacher so financially we need to be smart. I always wanted 3 kids and he was undecided, and I was starting to lean more towards being happy with 2. We also started talking about adoption at this time too.

In my dreams (I had MANY very similar), there was always a little girl about 3-4 years old. She had dark skin, brown hair and brown eyes and could have easily been DH's child (he's part Indian). She could have also been adopted from another country too? Anyhow, she never spoke and each dream had a different setting but the feelings were always the same. Without speaking she always said "What about me? Did you forget about me? Don't you want me?" I would wake from these dreams and want to cry. I was having them so often that DH would ask each morning "Did you dream about our daughter again"? Since getting a BFP the dreams have stopped. I'm CONVINCED this one is a girl now.

Yes!! I have been having really weird dreams too... I just thought I was cracking up. The other night I dreamt someone locked me in a pig's stye.... probably feelings of guilt surfacing in my sleep for not feeling like cleaning house lately...lol.
