Now it's on to home monitoring 3x a day and cutting all those carbs and sugars (that I LOVE SO MUCH) out of my diet. I pray this doesn't effect my wishes for another VBAC.
Also, even though I know it's too early to be concerned, the baby was breech today too. Neither of my others was ever breech.

Oh, what a bummer, sorry to hear that. I hope that you will still be able to have the birth you want. I hate it when they label people right away, ugh.:irked:

Ah, bummer... but for now you just monitor and watch your diet right? Better than the alternative I suppose, but I'm sure that doesn't make you feel any better. :hug
It definitely can't hurt to try to get the baby turned sooner rather than later, especially if it will make you feel better to get her back head-down and increase your changes of a VBAC.

Oh Kristina, how disheartening. I too hope this does not affect your birth plans.

Were your numbers really high?

My numbers were only 148 ~ not too high, but still above the cutoff. Plus, I was coming down with a nasty sinus infection/cold the day I did the test and the doctor said that illness can drive your numbers up as well. I'm doing a week of 3x a day readings on the glucometer and will see him again next Friday for him to review my blood sugars. Hopefully all will be well. At least this is forcing me to eat better. I can be such a sugar addict...

Hi Kristina,
Try not to worry about this too much. We should all be watching our nutrition, but don't let yourself get labelled with a condition that isn't really abnormal late in PG (check out the Henci Goer article on GD). Your body is making a baby beautifully!
