At long last, pics of the painting dh did for me (aka NESTING!)

While I was in FL visiting my ill great-gma, dh took the initiative to paint the living room! :thumb It really turned out nice and I wanted to share pics. So here they are!

And if you're interested, here's a picture of our master bedroom... we moved in a year ago after two years of building. We're hoping to get the master bathroom finished before the baby comes :fingersx: and hoping to get a deck built too so we can use the sliding glass door (it's an 8 ft drop now). It's been a long ordeal, but makes our house feel huge with 3 bedrooms and soon-to-be 2 baths. :lol

We are crazy doing nesting house projects too. My DH has been painting our "finished attic" space all week and the new carpet is going to be installed next weekend. We are also painting a nursery and changing some doors and broken kitchen cabinets, etc. Busy times!!!

(I spent 6 years in Bloomington when I was a kid while my dad was in school... I loved it there!)

Yes, I hope we all get our nesting done in time! :) Today I get a new dryer because my old one is dying a slow death and hopefully dh and my dad will get a lot of plumbing work done today (IU plays tonight, that's not good timing :eyesroll). Not enough time to get all the things I want done but we can get a decent start! :D

I saw the IU plaque. I live in Terre Haute. We go down to Lake Monroe in the summer to jet ski. I love Macri's Deli - ever been? I also like that Bloomin'foods store.

I've never been to Macri's, I'll have to try it sometime. :D I do a lot of shopping at Bloomingfoods actually. :thumb Dh is a big IU fan.

Looks great-dh reapinted our living room and the bady's soon to be room too.
I really love your living room paint-What kind of texture is it? It is so pretty!

My BIL and DH just applied all purpose joint compound and smoothed it into the texure they wanted (you can do whatever you want!). They painted it with regular paint (a lavender shade) and then dabbed on a glaze that is two shades darker than the paint... that adds the depth. I'm not sure exactly what the glaze is, I could find out though. I think they bought almost everything at Lowe's.

I love it, our living room is much cozier than it was with that crazy chinese wallpaper stuff. :lol

Oooh, we got a steal on that. It's local wood and was cheaper than carpet. :D I love it!
