I went for bloodwork Friday. And the results are...

HCG 39
Progesterone 20.7

Yay!:thumb

When I miscarried last fall prog was 7 at 4 weeks. So this is VERY encouraging news!

With dd it was 18 at 6 weeks, and I took supplements. This time they told me I don't need them! Hooray!

Still nervous, but this is SO reassuring!

Thank you sooooooo much for posting this. I got my numbers back from a HCG/prog check on Friday and they were HCG 39 and prog 18 (at 12/13 DPO). I've been all excited about my numbers until a little while ago. I was talking to some people who said those numbers were really low and how their numbers at 12/13 DPO were in the hundreds. So then I started freaking out and worrying that this little one wasn't going to make it either.

I honestly cannot put into words how much your post helped me, seeing someone else excited about similar numbers. I feel totally psyched and excited again that this little one is going to have a chance.

So, thank you.

hCG numbers are so vastly different from one person to the next....it's hard because you look at them & are wondering if that's high enough, when the average level at your stage of the pg is 300-18,900 (I don't know the exact #'s....just saying how wide of a range they can be). It's disturbing if you get hung up on it & can make you a little hCG nuts! Been there.

Your progesterone # looks great! Both of you! :)

Lesley, I'm glad my post gave you some peace. It's really hard not to get caught up. My 39 was at 9 dpo, but like Shannon said, those normal ranges are really vast! My mw doesn't really want to retest. Dh kinda wanted to, just for our own comfort, but I don't know if we will. We go next Thursday for the first prenatal.

Dd is being very quiet...I should go.

I got the results from yesterday back and it was 157 so I'm feeling a little more relaxed. I think I'll feel better when I get the results back from Wednesdays test (this one was over 3 days - Fri to Mon - instead of 2)...or when I see a sac in the right spot on Monday!

I keep telling myself that the ranges are really big, but it gets soooooo easy to get stuck in the numbers and comparing what your numbers are with other people's.
