I had such a great time meeting some of you last year and would love to set up another date.

I know none of us are interested in a park date right now, but with all this snow and cold weather I would love to have something to look forward to. Maybe April? What do you think?

How about May? April's still kind of iffy weather-wise, you know?
Would love to be able to show up for real this time, instead of quick running over mid-family-chaos, like last time (I was running to the park to bring DS his change of clothes ... :D)

& AOLwife, haven't seen you 'round much since that thread back in Parents/Partners ... hope things are going well for you ... :)

Well, I'm being hopeful for an early thaw! I know it's still chilly in April, May would be better I'm sure. But last year I think we had a heat wave or something, right? I remember it was hot before I even got really cold (last winter was so mild). So I can still dream!

Thanks for remembering me. Things are not better, unfortunately. Dh did get help and was diagnosed Bipolar. But his moods have been worse since the drugs and therapy. He has agreed to a divorce, as of last night, and says he doesn't even want visitation rights. Of course, I know this is just another mood swing. And I thought dealing with a toddler was difficult!

Are you still tandem nursing? Mary (4yrs) finally weaned in October right before her 4th Bday. She still asks for it now and then, but not on a reg basis. I'm really hoping Lucy does not nurse that long.

Hi Joy and Amy,

I'm totally up for getting together again - if april is too cold, we could always meet indoors somewhere - AMNH? It would be good to see you again. We're moving out to long island end of may, or later... but i'm already planning regular trips back to the city!

Joy - i'm sorry to hear about your marriage issues, best of luck to you with everything - I hope however it ends up, you find happiness again.

and btw, when we met in CP, i was about eight months pregnant, my planned hbac turned into a very amazing, wonderful hbac - a baby girl, nuala. who's now eight months old... time flies!

Oh wow, Celine congratulations!!! I'm so glad everything turned out like you planned :thumb That is quite an accomplishment, having an HBAC, and we now have something to celebrate! I'll bring the cake (I can always find an excuse to eat cake).

As far as the marriage goes, things aren't much better, but I'm giving it 6 mos. Dh has been on meds trying to get control of himself, but they seem to be doing more damage than good. Maybe he just hasn't found the right "cocktail". But he has been better with the children which is why I'm staying. I would never leave him if it was just me who was unhappy.
