I'll go first :wink.

I'm Michelle :love. We just got a :+ yesterday (and today just to make sure.....will do another tomorrow to make double-sure ;)). We thought we were going to just have dd, it just felt right with the 3 of us. But we all had a change of heart and here we are! We are all so excited!! And Dd is super excited to be a big sister. She expressed a little concern over the age difference, almost 9 years, but I told her a story about one of my best friends who has a little brother 10 years younger and they were/are super close, so now she's back to being excited. :thumb

Excited to meet you all and to share our journeys!

ETA: My edd is December 8, but I suspect it will be later than that.

I'll go second ;)

I'm Cathi, SAHM to DS (5 in May) and DD (2 1/2) and we really thought our family was complete. To be honest we are totally shocked by this pregnancy but I for one am thrilled. We haven't told our kids yet, but I'm dying to!

I'm due around the 3rd and my 30th bday is the 8th so SURPRISE! Cool present :thumb

Well congratulations Mamas. We just found out in the last few days after about 20 pregnancy tests :lol that we are indeed expecting in Dec. I actually started charting with Fertility Friend last month and was so excited to see all the positive tests. I kept testing because I wanted to be sure. Goofy girl, huh? Anyways, we have an almost 6 year old DD, a 4 1/2 year old DS, an almost 2 year old DS(who's still nursing) and then this new little baby. I've been aching for a baby for quite a while so I'm so glad that our prayers have been answered. My DD has been asking for a sister for a long time, so we'll see.

Take care Mamas! Sara

I'm so glad there are more mamas here now! We tested positive last week at 8-9dpo!! Dh and I have a 25 month old dd, who still nurses...a lot. We got pg last August, while "not trying not to," but m/c at 6 weeks. Two weeks after that, I hurt my back--it was a herniated disk. It was pretty bad. I was very close to surgery, but lots of time at the chiropractor and physical therapy have proven useful, though I've been a little sore again lately, which is a bit unsettling, especially right now.

Anyway, according to my O date, I'm "due" the 6th of December. I wouldn't be surprised if baby comes at the end of November, though.

Dd was a c/s for breech. This time, we're hoping for a vertex baby. I would love to avoid having to make a decision about birthing breech, let alone finding a cp who would go for a breech vbac, especially being my first vaginal birth.

I think I'm done. Congrats, everyone!

Hi there. I'm Faith and we just got a :+ day before yesterday and we are so happy. I really didn't think it would happen this month, but it apparently has and we are thrilled!!!!!!! It's been a long winter journey getting here.

I have a DD who is 3 yo and I know she'll be thrilled once we tell her. Although she may already know---she's been obsessed with rubbing my belly for years. I am ecstatic and looking forward to getting to know you all.

PS--If my LMP was February 20 and I have a 30-day cycle am I due in mid-December?

faith, my LMP was 2/23 and I have 32 day cycles and it puts me at 12/4...so you are probably right at the borderline...

yup, based on that info...nov 30th is your EDD...

Hi momma's! Congrats on all your pg's!! Here's hoping we all have healthy, uneventful pg's & births! :)

I'm Shannon, mom to 3 ds', 11, 3 & 6 mo. This pg was a total surprise! I've been having some spotting so I went in for some blood draws & an u/s & it looks like I O'd really late (lmp was Feb. 7 but I think I conceived around the first week of Mar.) due to bf my littlest. So, I'm thinking this baby will be due some time around the first of Dec. instead of the middle of Nov. like I originally thought.

I'm so excited to be here, though having some anxiety over the thought of having so many kiddo's & 2 of them being so little. They'll only be about 14-15 mo. apart when this one is born. Anyone else have babies this close in age?

Hi! My name is Amy and I just found today that I'm pregnant. :love I'm in total shock. Our timing wasn't that great this month and I feel like AF is on her way. I'm 10dpo and took 2 dollar tree tests today that were both faint positives. So I ran out to get a digital test and couldn't wait until tomorrow to take it. I was really expecting to be negative, but it said "PREGNANT"

I have a 19 month old dd who still loves to nurse. I'm determined to have a VBAC this time. My daughter was an emergency c-section for fetal distress after I let them induce me. I've since switched to some great midwives instead of the medwives I had before. They have an 85+% VBAC success rate.

I can't wait to get to know you all. :)

I didn't think I was pregnant this month either. I thought I felt PMS coming last week, plus I tested negative up until I was 2 days late, so this was a big surprise for us! We've been trying for 3 months. The first month I thought I was definitely pregnant. My breasts were leaking(!) and sore, etc.....my mind and body were playing tricks on me I guess. I just joined Fertility Friend a couple of weeks ago (which was fun but short-lived!) because I thought it would take us longer since I'm older now (37).

We weren't trying super hard this month because a December baby has it's negatives, being during the holidays and all. But I am so excited because this means the baby will be a Sagittarius like me (or a Capricorn like dd, if he/she is really late).

Congratulations again Mamas! :love :bgbounce

Tentatively joining in.

Got a :+ on April Fools day, but followed up with a 2nd test mid-afternoon today that showed :+ as well.

For some reason, I'm terrified this time that I'm going to lose this baby - I never felt that way with my son or my daughter.

I have a 3 1/2 yr old son, and a 1 1/2 yr old daughter - she is still my milk monster, nursing constantly day and night. I'm hoping to gear up for another long-term tandem nursing relationship.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Daphne. I have been viewing the posts since December when my Dh and I decided to start trying but have not yet posted. So this is my first. I got a BFP on 3/31 after a mild positive one week earlier. My EDD is November 30th although I am going to think of it as December to reduce any worry. My Dh and I were actively trying January/February and stopped thinking about it in March and voila!

I must admit that this is a shock to me as my focus has changed from TTC to working as my husband and I just opened a Chiropractic practice!(Lots of work!). Anyhow, I am trying to come to grips with the news, as it does not feel real. I have only slightly tender nipples on/off. Otherwise, I feel great.

Hey, I'm Vera. I am technically due in November, but since I'm due pretty much on Thanksgiving day, I could go into December... You never know! I have a 21 month old DS who was born at 29 weeks 4 days due to PROM. I'm hoping for full term baby this time! Watch me go 43 weeks or something. :lol Thankfully, my DS is totally healthy - no problems due to preemieness. :thumb

My OB records currently have my EDD as 11/14, but that's totally wrong. My LMP is 2/7, but I have 35 day cycles, and O around day 23-25 ("peak" day is 24). I didn't feel O this time, so I'm not totally sure which day it was! And we were not very good in getting "coverage" that cycle, even though we were officially TTC. We had one day about 3-4 days pre-O, and then one day like 3 days after. So I know which day was the successful one. :lol I took a Dollar General test the day AF was due, since it hadn't shown up yet. And I was totally thinking it'd be negative again... The previous cycle, I had preg symptoms and went 4 days late, but kept getting negative tests (8 of them!). I figure I probably had a fertilized egg that just didn't implant all the way. I seem to be a fertile myrtle, so the next cycle, success!

Congrats, Mamas!

Hi! My name is Carrie. I am a SAHM to Johnathan (3 1/2) and Brodie (2). We are tandem nursing, although ds1 only nurses once a day now. I suspect he will be weaned by the time this baby gets here. We have been trying for a couple of months, but I really did not think this would be our month. I have been having to get up during the night to pee for the last week though, which is totally out of character for me so I wasn't giving up hope yet. I got a faint :bfp yesturday and took a Digital test today which came up Pregnant almost right away. I am hoping to get to talk to my midwife at a Breastfeeding Support Group meeting I am going to tonight. My dh and I both have december birthdays, so maybe this baby will share a birthday with one of us. My edd is Dec. 11. :)

I'm really hoping that I get to join you all and get to know you! Here's a bit about me...

I'm Lesley, married to my hubby Bryan for 4 years. We live in Austin, TX. We have 1 daughter, Lauren, who is 21-months old now. I had an ectopic pregnancy last September that was heartbreaking...I was rushed into emergency surgery at 6w1d. I lived, but my baby died. I got pregnant again in January and I miscarried 2 days after finding out I was pregnant. Now I'm pregnant again and am hoping and praying that this little one gets to stay.

I'm a SAHM to Lauren, but was a teacher before she was born. Some day I plan on going back to it, but not until we're done having kids probably. My biggest new find before I got pregnant was making the switch to a Diva Cup and I just spent $75 on cloth pads cause I fell in love with them. Looks like I won't be needing them for a while (I hope!).

Because of my history, I've been having lots of bloodwork to check my HCG level. I went on Friday (12/13 DPO) and went again today and have to go again on Wednesday. I'm having an ultrasound next Monday, but am just waiting to kick back and relax and enjoy being pregnant once we make sure this one is in the right spot!

Hi!

I'm totally excited, and kind of scared... I found out today I'm due with #1 in december! Probably around the 8th? Crazy! We were trying for a little while, so it's not a surprise, but it's still shocking:lol

Hey Lesley, we were living in Austin last year! Oh, and Shannon, I'm Shannon too :D

Hi!

I've been lurking here for about a week, feeling like if I post it'll jinx something. But, I'm gonna chill out and post! I'm due with #2 on 12/6/06. I got my :+ a little over a week ago, at about 12 dpo. We'd been trying for 16 cycles! So, no surprises here! I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. I've had 3 m/c in the past so we are very cautiously optimistic about this one. My HCG levels were great last week.

I feel pretty good, sore bbs, hungry, and I feel a lot more stretching and pulling in my abdomen than I did the last time. No one knows IRL about this but DH and I. We're gonna wait as long as we can to tell. At least till we've heard a hearbeat. DS really wants a baby, he talks about it all the time. I can't wait to tell him!

So happy to be here, finally! :love

Hey all.....Ive had 3 positive hpt's so looks like Im joining the december crew. DH and I are really happy, even though this wasn't totally planned....we werent exactly being careful either. Im due December 16th with my 4th. Ive had a strong feeling I was pregnant for a while and Ive had nausea for extreme fatigue for about a week now. I had an early miscarraige a few weeks ago so I am nervous but hopeful!

Yeeeaaaah! :makebaby: Congrats to everybody. :love
I am so excited. I think I am pregnant! I have been taking pregers tests all week thinking I was prego and they were all :I. But today I had a faint line :+ . Not sure if I should allow myself to be this excited yet . According to http://health.discovery.com/tools/calculators/pregnancy/pregnancy.html I am due December 14th which is exciting because my birthday is Dec. 8! My first born was an early arrival so maybe I will have a birthday treat! I sort of thought I was prego last week at my mothers. She was making a roasted chicken and OMG the smell nearly made me :Puke I have been having on and off moments of nausea since then. Anyhow, Congrats everybody!
PS- :scratch Does anybody know what all these abreviations stand for? Like... bfps or PROM or AF. I know some of them but... Is there a cheat sheet for abreviations somewhere on this website?

mother_sunshine
04-05-2006, 01:53 PM
:lol Thanks Grayson's Mom, your :Puke made me feel like I needed to :Puke. Just when I was worried because I'm not feeling much nausea yet, I think you gave it a kick start. :wink :sick :lol

As for acronyms, I'm still trying to figure some of them out in this forum. I know AF stands for Aunt Flo :af. bfp means "big fat positive". Not sure what PROM means. I think there's a thread specifically on acronyms in the welcome forum.

I was afraid to post yesterday, but I did another POAS test this AM, and it was much more clear than yesterday, so here goes! :) According to LMP my EDD would be 12/10/06. I'm very excited right now, but had an ectopic pregnancy last fall, so am remaining pretty quiet about this IRL until I get closer to the "magic" 12-14 weeks.

I currently have 1 ds, 18 months old this week. He is still nursing 2-4Xs per day (mostly at night - so I'm sure I'll be wanting that to stop and/or transition to waking hours as I get more tired!).

Nice to "meet" everyone!

Heather, I'm so sorry for your ectopic. I had one last fall (in September) as well. How was yours treated? I had emergency lap surgery and then Metho a few weeks later since my #s were rising again.

Are you having your HCG checked now? When are you going for a placement u/s? Mine is on Monday (I'll be 5w2d then). I think once I see the baby in the right spot, I'll feel MUCH happier.

Hi! My name is Meghann and I am mama to Sophia, who is 19 months old. I got my first positive on Monday, extremely faint and I took another yesterday morning and it was definetly :+. This was a big surprise as we weren't trying, but we are happy about it. The same day we found out we were pregnant we bought our first house! It's been quite a week! According to the ddc I am due Dec. 10th, but my dd was 3 weeks early due to pregnancy induced hypertension. I'm hoping for a healthy 9 months and NO bedrest!!!

Dd is still nursing 3-4X a day and it's about killing me because my boobies hurt so bad, I'm also exhausted (one of my first clues), but no nausea yet!

Thank you tttiggerr - I appreciate your advice and concern! I had an emergency lap in the begining of November. The pg was a complete surprise to me, and at the time my hcg levels were so low AND I was just past ovulation that they weren't sure if I just hadn't implanted yet (and was having appendicitis) or it was ectopic. Anyhoo - it became obvious it was ectopic, and they did the lap. My hcg levels dropped quite quickly - so no Meth for me. I wasn't very emotional about it b/c I hadn't realized I was pregnant and in fact we weren't planning on TTC until after the first of the year.

Also (and this is silly), I've been afraid to call my dr office b/c I didn't want to jinx this one. But, I really should get my hcg levels checked and schedule a scan to be sure this babe is implanted correctly, etc. I'll be 5 weeks on Sunday (4/9). You've convinced me - I'll go ahead and call today. (insert a sheepish icon here when the smilies are turned back on!) LOL

I took a pg test last night and I was so shocked to get a +++++++!!!!!! I was in a complete state of shock because I didn't think it was actually possible this month. I have only had my af back for three months (I am nursing my 25 month old) and each month I was completly irregular. I got it on January 7th, then 32 days later on Feb 7th, and then 29 days later on March 7th. The only time we bd was on cycle day 6 when I should not have been fertile. Well... I guess just because af was coming irregular I was in fact ovulating right on time. (GOSH I MISS THE SMILIES!!!) I went back and counted 28 days from my first cycle and then 28 days again from when I should have started my 2nd cycle and then 14 days from that and YEP I would have been fertile on that day!!!! I am so amazed! I didn't think it would happen this quickly! I am already so excited and nervous and head over heals in love with this new baby!!!!

I am so happy to be here!! I can't wait to get to know all of you!!

Hi! I'm another Amy!

I took 2 tests last weekend on a hunch and confirmed :+ . I'd had a UTI the week before and they wanted to give me some heavy antibiotics but I wanted to make sure I was not PG before taking them. Thank goodness for intuition. Luckily my UTI is now gone!

According to LMP my EDD is also 12/10/06. DH and I are thrilled-- we were surprised we'd get #2 on the first "try." But I'm really nervous something isn't right so we are also remaining pretty quiet IRL until our next appt. where we hope to detect a heartbeat and will tell family if so. 2nd trimester is when we'll blab to friends.

I currently have 1 DD, 15 months. We are also still nursing lots. I'm totally conflicted about wanting to keep going and try tandem nursing and wanting to sleep at night for a few months and save myself from a lot of pain in my BB's! it's hurting a lot to nurse right now-- but we're in a catch-22 with a toddler who nurses a lot because she doesn't eat much and who doesn't eat much because she nurses a lot. weaning seems like it will be a huge PITA. UGH. so confused!!! :nut

Glad to "meet" you!

I've been waiting a bit to post because I'm not sure where I belong since I'm on the "edge". Depends on if I go by last period or ovulation date? I figure ovulation is pretty reliable, and by that my due date will be 12/2/06. My periods are a bit wonky since I'm still breastfeeding my 17 month old so I don't want to go by last period. I've managed to rack up about 5 postive pregnancy tests in the past couple of weeks just because I like seeing those 2 little lines.:innocent

Anyway, I don't really have any symptoms except for one week of "morning cramps" during implantation and generally feeling fat and blah lately. I'm pretty happy, even if I do sound a bit down (just tired).:D

Oh, and I am yet another Amy!

Hi ladies I'll introduce myself!

I came over from the TTC boards... My dh and I have been TTC for 7 months, but I had a miscarriage in October and we are back and PREGNANT again! I just found out literally last night... and tested again the AM and still BFP! Here is the link to the pics if you want to see: http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f127/magen_gillespie/pregnancytests.jpg

I've been :chart: for 2 months and we caught the egg! My link to my chart is in my signature!

According to FertilityFriend.com my EDD is 12/18/2006 so we'll have a Christmas baby! :)

Happy and Healthy 9 months to you all and sticky baby vibes to everyone!!!!

Hope to get to know you all!

My name is Meredith, and I hope I get to stick around. I got a positive pg test yesterday, and I have also started spotting. Right now I am afraid to get very excited, but I really want this baby to stay with me. Dh and I agreed not to tell anyone irl till about 12 weeks or when we get a heartbeat. With dd we didn't get a heartbeat till 16 weeks, so it may be a while before we tell anyone...lol.

Dh just started a new, better paying!!! job, he promised me after he started work there we could have another baby. Well he started there 4/1 and I got my bfp on 4/7. How's that for timing????

I am due on 12/6, but I bet that I will go over.

oh, we are planning on having a home waterbirth with a great midwife, and she only lives three miles down the road from us!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, one more thing, We did tell DD (3) that there is a baby growing in mommy's belly, So this may not be a secret for long!!!!!!!!

Another surprised mama here. I'm Monica and I have an almost 14 month old son who is still exclusively nursing. My husband and I weren't planning on TTC until June/July timeframe as long as DS was starting to eat solid foods. I'm kind of concerned about my son and hope that my milk holds out for him. I didn't want him to wean this early. :(

Besides that, I am happy. I'm nowhere near as excited as I was when I found out I was pregnant with DS, but it's also so early that I'm trying not to get my hopes up quite yet.

My LMP was 1 March but my cycles have been really wonky since I'm still nursing so much. I know when I conceived though, it's kind of hard not to when you only get it once a month. :irked: 25 March is when we DTD so I think that makes me due sometime in the middle of December.

I'm still so shocked and I feel kind of guilty because I don't want this to harm my son in any way. He is so high needs and I'm really worried about my milk supply because his world revolves around my breasts.

Hi! So excited to join you guys! I'm Miriam, and this will be #1 for us. Got the BFP:+ this morning! Then I had to reassure myself and test again this afternoon. Same result! So according to my LMP, EDD is 12/14/06. I still can't believe it. H and I are thrilled, and we're such blabbermouths we've already told my parents and siblings (trying to get in touch with his). I just told them, it's so early, but we're too excited to hold it in.
I went off the pill in January, so it was quite a surprise to get pregnant so soon. I was even trying to chart temps, but they showed a late O, and there was no BD'ing around that time, so I was sure I wasn't pregnant this time. But sure glad I am!

Hello! My name is Nonie and I am a SAHM to Ainsley, who is 2.5. We just tested positive on Thursday, and my edd is 12/13. I will be having a repeat C-section (there isn't a doc in town who will do it, I'd have to go at least an hour and a half away and DH is not hip to it at all), so the babe will probably be born end of Nov/beg of Dec.

We are excited! I am looking forward to sharing this with you all.

Hello Everyone!!!

Just wanted to join all of you! We are expecting #1 on 12/14/06!!! This was our first month TTC (we have been charting for almost 6 years though), and I got a BFP at 14 DPO. Although we were trying it came as a complete surprise...I just didn't think it would happen so soon.

We have been married for 5 1/2 years so we are VERY ready emotionally, but we are planning an international move (from New York to London) this September when I will be about 5 months, so we have A LOT to think about and consider!

I am very excited to get to know all of you and share our next 9 months together!!! :dust Best Wishes to All!!!

Hello all.

Just joining in. Got a BFP yesterday. I believe I'm about 5 weeks along. Due date is sometime in early/mid-December.

Anyway. Dh and I have 2 dds aged 5 years and 2 years. We've been TTC #3 since January. I'm really looking forward to being in this community of women with such a cool thing in common with me. I was in one of the Due date threads here when I was pregnant with dd#2, and it was a great experience.

Hello everyone!!

My name is Kim. I found out I was pregnant on April 1st. Now that I've officially missed AF I'm convinced. Well I guess the 4 tests that I took convinced me but I'm not sure I quite believed them;)

I been wanting to TTC for about a year now but the time never seemed right. Well the times still not "right" and we decided it will never be perfect so we decided to go for it. Well it worked! And here I am!

We've got a 4 yr old dd who has been asking for a brother or sister for 2 years now so she is very excited.

Can't wait to get to know all of you!

I am soo excited to be in the groups! I am a stay@home mom to my guy Luke, who is turning 3 (!) on Easter Sunday. Our new baby was conceived April Fools Day, and will be due on Christmas Eve. Whew!

We are Catholic, and so we have been using NFP, (kind of, sort of, maybe...? :o ), since Luke was born three years ago. We weren't quite ready to become pregnant before now, but we weren't really doing anything to prevent it either. March was the first month that we actually tried to become pregnant. I am over the moon happy! ((doing a little happy dance at the computer))

My biggest clue I was pregnant, (long before the :+ ), was the fact that I was crying over everything. I mean everything. Life insurance commericals on TV, magazine articles, something someone said on the radio. It was pretty obvious that something was up! :love

Hello all -
I am Jennifer ,married for 20 years & have 3 kids --18.14 & 7 --this was a big surprise for me --I thought I had a UTI a few weeks ago so I am not sure when I am due --I had a short period Mar 3 -5 & even had a pap test the 6th -no bleeding that day -so I am due either Nov 10 or maybe Dec 8 .
My doc appt is May 12 .I am getting an us tomorrow to help figure it out.

We live next door to my mom -but my husband wants to move 26 miles away on some property he bought((yes -HE bought-I did not agree ))-I am not thrilled as you can see-
My whole life is going to be different now --I am trying to have faith -all things work for the good I know .
We have a lot of issues to deal with -Thanks for letting me vent!

Hi all! I'm Jane, we've got a 15 month old little girl who is still nursing. Our lives seem BUSY at the moment - we both WOH f/t, and are taking classes. We're living with my parents while we sell our place and look for a new apartment closer to them.

I think my due date is around December 20th. DD was born 11 days past her due date, and both my brother and I were born 10+ days past our due dates, so I am not expecting any early arrivals.

I just got the BFP last night!!

Hi everyone,

I am due sometime around winter solstice WOOHOO! We are so excited! This is our first baby, so this first trimester stuff is a whole new experience. I have questions about everything, and want to see someone to make sure everything is healthy.

Super sore boobs, and my first barf this morning!! Woo hoo, maybe that means it is here to stay!

Hey everyone,

I found out several weeks ago that I am expecting again after a pregnancy loss earlier this year. February was our first month of trying after my miscarriage and our first time charting with the FAM and both my husband and myself were quite surprised to get a BFP so soon. When I took the first HPT, the result was so faint that I did not even notice the second line myself. I thought the test was negative, but my husband pointed out that there was in fact a *very* faint second line.

I am due somewhere around the November 30- December 3 range, but figure just stating somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a much better way to think. :)

I look forward to getting to know everyone here.

Hello everyone. I'm Jennifer :love , married to DH Phil, and mom to DS#1 Spencer (07/12/2003) and DS#2 Xavier (12/06/2004), as well as two cats and two Great Danes. I'm a full-time graduate student in population genetics, work part-time as a researcher and share parenting duties with DH so the children can stay home with us during the day.

I think I am due in early December. I have to go in for a sono on Tuesday because I don't have an LMP and was on BC until the end of February so we can't accurate guesstimate my due date. I also want to know if this pregnancy is a twin pregnancy, because DS#2 started out as a twin, but his twin was lost at 12weeks gestation.

I'm glad to have been directed to this forum by another mom friend.

Snowflake Queen--
I see you are in VA Beach-I have wanted to visit there very badly!
I want to see the ARE place (Edgar Cayce )& the ocean.
Is there a cheap place to stay for 2 nights /3 days ?
It will be either the last week of April or May or in June .my 7 & 17 year old will be coming with me .Thanks

Hi everyone-

We are expecting #8 around 12/7/06. We are thrilled! I'm 44, will be 45 when I deliver. When the baby comes in December my kids will be: three boys 19,18,16 three girls 13,10,6 and a little boy 3.

I love having a large family! It is sooo much easier having older kids with babies. I homeschool, ecologically bf, teach NFP, tandem nurse (still nursing now), nonvacinnate.

But, right now I'm exhausted and need a daily 2 hr nap. :love

Hi everyone! So glad to get a :+ this week. We had a m/c in October, and although we weren't really trying at that point, it was of course so upsetting and then I just wanted to be pg so badly. It's never taken me 6 months to get pg before ;) As you can tell from the age difference of our sons (14 1/2 months). So this gap, though, will be a little more reasonable! Timmy will be 3 1/2 and Luke will be just over 2 when baby arrives.

I feel really good about this pregnancy, and my symptoms are pretty strong, so I'm just praying I'm right and this baby sticks!

I'm a stay at home mom (well, kind of) - I do the accounting for our farm and I have a fairly busy Tupperware business as well. So I'm always running, running, running!

This baby will not be our last if I have anything to do with it :lol I'm hoping for four or five or so...figure we'll know when we get there!

Hi, everyone!!

I am new to this board. I am pregnant with my third (and probably last) child. I have two wonderful daughters, and this child will be due sometime in December. My EDD is 12/16, but since both of my daughters were induced at 2+ weeks, I have no idea if this baby will even be born in 2006! :)

We're hoping this one is a boy, just because I'm not sure if I want more. I always wanted 4 kids, but with this pregnacy I really feel like I might be ready for this to be the last one. If it's another girl, we may end up trying for #4, but that would DEFINITELY be the last!! :D

I am also still nursing both of my other daughters, so I'll be working on weaning my almost three year-old before this baby arrives. Wish me luck!!!

I look forward to chatting with all of you!!

hello mamas! My name is Corinna, mom to Fiona who's turning 3 in May, and I am due 12/18. I had a miscarriage in January (like so many, it seems), so I am trying to be cautious about this pregnancy. But it feels completely different this time, like an amazing sense of possibility (last time I was full of dread from the minute I found out). I haven't told anyone but my mom and best friend, which was driving me crazy... but it's almost fun now to be guarding this special secret. It kills me though not to talk at work b/c we are all such good friends.
I am so excited about a new baby, and I can't wait to tell my daughter. I am so loving being a mom, I feel like I want a houseful!!! (talk to me in January when I've been awake for a month straight :wink !)
I spent some time on a 'normal' pregnancy site when I was going through the m/c thing and then ttc again--couldn't really deal with the 'should you let the baby cry for one hour or two' and 'what kind of formula do you use' types of discussions. I feel much more at home here!!! Pleased to meet you, and happy healthy pregnancies and mommyhoods to all!

I'm Mollie, 29, mommy to 5 great kids ages 12, 10, 6, almost 4, and 2, and married to my awesome hubby Shane. I'm not sure of my due date, or when I conceived, but I'm guessing Dec. 16-20th, or who knows! I'm getting my levels checked tomorrow & Thursday.

Can't wait to get to know everyone better!!

I am Monika. We basically waited till this month to TTC and got pregnant on the day I thought was my fertile day. My dh is very proud of himself :). We already have a beautiful 2 year old dd and now I am just as happy as I can be. This time around we are planning for a home birth, we already found a midwife and like her very much. I am due Dec. 22nd.

Hi everyone. DH and I are both 30, we have 2 boys (ages 4 and 18 months) and are due with baby #3 on 12/22/06. DS #2 is still nursing (a couple of times a day) and I am open to tandem nursing. DS#1 weaned while I was pregnant with DS #2, so we'll see what happens. we've been wanting to TTC for about a year, but AF didn't show up until 3/4/06. It appears we caught the first pp egg on 3/31 or 4/1. So excited to be here.

Hi Mamas!

I'm expecting #2 sometime around Dec. 10th, I think. We had been trying for awhile, and got pregnant on the month we decided to take off from trying. ;)

I have one DS, who is 2 and still nursing. I am open to tandem, but won't be too upset, I think, if he decides to wean during the pregnancy. With DS we had a wonderful, natural hospital birth. My DH, doula, nurse, and doctor were all the best support team I could have hoped for. I was not as happy with the afterbirth care, though (the nurses kept pushing me to send the baby to the nursery, use formula; and I really felt captive in the hospital for the 2 days I was there). This time around, we'll be going with the stand-alone birth center, and I am very excited about it!

Glad to be here, and looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi. :) I got my first BFP on April Fool's Day. I totally was NOT expecting it this cycle at ALL b/c our timing was so not good (check out my chart... click "pregnant"... but only if you promise not to laugh at the fact that I am STILL temping lol).

And I got my 16th or so BFP today. rofl. I haven't been having any noticable symptoms at all so I keep testing every few days. I did have a dr appointment yesterday where the vampires took about 8 vials of my blood for various tests (some that the state makes them do). But anyway on the BFP today... the test line came up even before the dye got TO the control line. :P It was awesome.

I guess I'm really pregnant. :D

I'm Heather. I'm pregnant with number 4. We tried for a year and after 2 months of acupuncture here we are. :love

We had a rough start, my midwife wanted to rule out ectopic so I've had 2 ultrasounds and yesterday we saw the baby and a heart beating 147 bpm. So we dont need anymore u/s. WOOOHOOOO.

We are planing a home waterbirth

Oh and I'm due Dec. 15 by ovulation and Dec. 18 by the ultrasound. Not sure if my midwife is going to change it or not but really does it matter.:lol It's not like they always come on their due date.

Hi all. I'm pregnant with #1. DH is ecstatic, and I'm definitely getting there (mostly just tired lately). I'm due around Dec. 30th. Haven't had time to think about the details yet- working on getting through a summer of field work for my Masters project. We'll probably tell the grandparents-to-be in a week, and then all the familial excitement will begin!

I'll finish up my internship for my Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and graduate in Aug, take my national boards in Oct, and give birth in Dec! DH and I live outside of Houston. TX with our 19 month old DD, 3 dogs and a snake! I'm planning a water birth with a mw either at home or at a birthing center. I had a med-free, all natural hospital birth with am OB last time. I haven't had PPAF, so we caught my first PP eggies with this one! Yay us! I'm glad to be here!

Hi, everyone! I am so excited to be here! My name is Sarah and my first baby is due on December 6. We found out for sure yesterday, and we were a bit surprised. We weren't really trying to conceive, but I guess we weren't not trying either. :) I have had a little thought in the back of my mind that I was pregnant for the last month or so, but every time I've felt that way in the past I have tested and it's been negative. So, this time I kept putting it off and putting it off thinking that I was just fooling myself again. When we finally decided to test, it took 3 positive tests to convince me that it was for real! Anyway, I won't ramble on about how excited I am, but I just wanted to introcduce myself and say hi to everyone else in my due date club! Congratulations to all of you!

Hello Ladies,

I am so happy to be a part of this due date club. I am 29 and live outside of Houston, TX with my hubby and my dog. DH and I have been TTC since Dec '04. We had a miscarriage in April '05 and were not able to get pregnant again that year.

I was feeling really hormonal and we do have good insurance so in January we went to see a Reproductive Endocronologist to do some diagnostic testing. He diagnosed me with a mild case of PCOS (Polysystic Ovarian Syndrome) and gave me a prescription for Metformin (an insulin sensitizing agent). In March I also took Clomid and we got our BFP on April 13th.

We are due on Christmas Eve and are very excited. However, because of my past I am still nervous and can't wait to be in the second trimester.

I am really looking forward to getting to know you all during the next nine months and hope that everyone has a wonderful experience.

Hello ladies. I am joining this forum with the optimistic idea that my baby will be either born on or before his duedate, Dec 31, 2006. My last baby was 3 days overdue. :(

I have a 3.5 year old daughter and an 18 month old son. My son is still nursing and in the last couple of days has not really been himself. Very whiny, clingy, night waking after not doing so for more than 6 months. Does breastmilk change that quickly with pregnancy that it could be part of the problem? I'm not quite 6 weeks along.

Yay! I'm more excited about this pregnancy than I've been about my other two, which is kind of a surprise for me. The pregnancy was too, while we've been trying, I've only been getting consistent periods for about 3 months.

I think I'm due around the 28th, not sure on that.

I'll hopefully have a home birth, but there's just one midwife in town, and she's been practicing for 20 years, so I know she kind of picks and chooses when she'll be around for deliveries. I've left her a message and I've got my fingers crossed she hasn't planned a vacation. I had a hospital birth with my dd, age 3, and a home birth with ds, age 1 on Wednesday!

Can't wait to get to know you all!

Wow, this is a big group! I am due sometime in December. I don't want to stress out too much about the actual day. I will have to have a repeat C/S due to extensive uterine surgery so the due date will be determined by doctors, and not by baby. :-((((( But I will strive to have as relaxing a pregnancy as I can--a change from last time around when there always seemed to be something to worry about.

I have a 14-m.o. dd who is still nursing strong although I know she is feeling my drop in milk supply. Poor baby. I have always had just the right amount of milk for her and now she is confused when she can't get enough.

This pregnancy was a surprise, as I am 42 (will be 43 when I deliver) and it took five years of infertility (three in "treatment") before I gave up at 40 and then conceived dd naturally six months later. I figured I would never get pregnant again. Suprise! It feels very strange to be here again, and it hasn't really sunk in yet. (Any other older mamas out there?)

Hi Mamas. I'm Ashley, mom to Clark and this baby is due around the 30th. I am hoping for an '07 baby tho...I'm not sure why, I just am.

Anyway, we're very excited. I know DH has been 'thinking babies' for several months now, but only last month did I let myself really dwell on it and whaddya know! I wasn't surprised by the test tho...I knew the day we conceived that it happened.

We're splitting our time currently between New York and Wyoming, although I'm really hoping that with the addition of #2 we can settle down and figure out what we're doing with our lives. Everything is kind of very transient right now and it's been fun, but I'm ready to pick a place and dig our heels in and make a life.

I always say DH even tho we're not officially married. Neither one of us is really that interested in having anything legal, but geez, I wash his underwear and he caught our last baby, so I don't know...it feels right. We've been together for 5 years this year.

I'm excited to join you all and make some new friends. I don't keep in touch with any of the women from my due date club with DS#1, but that was on a different site. I totally gave that one up when I found MDC. :lol

Good luck and I look forward to sharing with everyone!

Hi everyone, mind if I join in?
I am due end on Nov but I have given birth a 38 weeks once and 42 weeks once so going in Dec is very possible.
Anyways:) I am mom to 2 boys whom I Tandem nurse and neither of them are showing signs of stopping or slowing down.
I live about an hour away from Montreal on the south shore...
I am having a UP (Unassisted Pregnancy) and I am planning a UC (Unassisted birth)... I wasn't planning on having a UP but because I moved out of the city the midwifes that I was with the last times won't take me because they no longer take "out of towners" and neither does the next group of midwifes which is at an equally far distance from me (an hour)... and because an OB is NOT even close to being an option for me a UP was my only choice... however, now I don't think I would go with a midwife even if I was able to get one...

hope to get to know you more!

We're hoping this pregnancy goes well. My oldest was 9 weeks early and I had preeclampsia and hellps. My youngest I started to develop preeclampsia and we got her to 37 1/2 weeks. So we'll see how this one goes.

We are preggers with our first...just starting of week 8...all I want is to fast forward 4 weeks...

we are due Dec 30 so maybe a new years baby! Live in Ontario, Canada and not so excited about having a tiny baby in the dead of winter - oh well. I figure by summertime I will be able to do some gardening without being constantly attached to baby...

daddy-to-be and i are highschool sweethearts and have been together 12 years and counting - married for 3. this is a sweet sweet time for us.

another cool thing - i know exactly when we conceived...April 8th after I came home from a week away...absence made the heart grow fonder (and the body fertile!!) tee hee.

I've known for a while now, but due to lots of first trimester problems previously I haven't really counted on it until recently! But now I'm ready!

We did find out we started with two and now have one little butter bean growing in there. Also due to the fact that I always have bleeding with early pregnancy, thought we were 6w due in Jan. but found out we are 9w due in Dec.:blush Look forward to learning more about you all and sending out good vibes for happy, healthy pregnancies and births for all.:thumb

Hi! I'm due December 17th. For now. I was due January 11th, according to what I thought was my LMP. Turns out what I thought was LMP was implantation bleeding, so I missed over half of my first trimester! LOL - then I had an u/s and they moved my dd from 1/11 to 12/24. Then last week I had some bleeding and went to the ER to have it checked out, they did another u/s and moved my due date up to 12/17.

I'm 32, with an 11 year old son - well, he'll be 11 on Wednesday! DS is from my first marriage, this one is the first for DH and I. We tried for almost 4 years to get and stay pregnant, now I'm 14 weeks and feeling pretty good about it all!

Congrats to everyone!

Hi everyone,

I haven't had time to read all the posts yet and I really need to get to bed, but I thought I'd better introduce myself since I've posted here a few times.

I'm Rhiannon, 27, mom to the sweetest 3 year old boy. His daddy and I have been together for 8 years, we're unmarried but I refer to him as DH sometimes.

My son was born at home in May of 2003, it was a wonderful birth and pregnancy with no complications.

Due with baby #2 (what a shocker - I went in for something else and told me I was pregnant like I had been aware of it!) sometime in December. They keep changing my due date, Dec. 26, Jan 2, whatever, but since this is #2 and I'm already feeling movement for a couple weeks, I'm thinking it will be late or maybe even mid December.

I'm going to try for another homebirth, but we moved from CA to IL and apparently it is really, REALLY difficult to find a homebirth midwife here. If only I had known.. would have stayed in Cali another year or two.

Nice to meet everyone!!

Hi, I'm Becky. Have been lurking for a while and decided to show my "face"!:)

We live in Maryland. I'm a WOHM to two daughters, ages 7.5 and 5.5. They were both surprises... this new baby, due 12/28, was basically planned, which makes it all the more scary! I'm planning a homebirth and slowly bringing DH around to the idea.

Looking forward to joining in the conversations!

Hi everyone,

My name is Cuau, I'm due in Dec 28th. Today I have my 3rd doctor appt. I'm going with a midwife and I've heard excellent comments about her. I'm also having my pap smear today, in my country they don't use to do pap smears while pregnant so my mom is really scared. I know everything will go fine.

I have a little JRT who does not like kids, is there anyone else with pets in the list that si doing some training for the baby?

Hi Mamas,
My name is Jessica. I have a 16 month old that I am still nursing and am pregnant with baby #2. My EDD is December 21. I am one of those women that loves being pregnant. I will not be finding out the baby's gender until it's birthday. I am just hoping for a healthy happy baby. I am going to be having another homebirth and would really like to give birth in the water. I had about 16 weeks of all day sickness and lost about 12 lbs. I am now at week 21 and have almost gained all of it back and it is all in my belly. I am feeling the baby move and it is really awesome. I can't wait until my ds gets to feel the movements on the outside of the belly.

Hi!

I am Kim and I am pregnant with baby number 4. We tried for this baby for 2 1/2 years, with a mc in the middle. I am planning another home birth, as the last one was just wonderful.

Hi Iam joining late but here goes. After 2 1/2 years of trying dh and I discovered we are having #4 Dec 17ish! I couldn't be happier. We found out we were pregnant the same day we found out a friend of ours had died suddenly. Very roller coaster day. I had some bleeding during this pregnancy, I think I lost a twin, but we will never know for sure, and our early us said this may be a boy after three girls. Exciting stuff for all of us.

Hi! :lol

I can't fully describe how happy I am to join these groups. I used to be on a bunch of message boards when first TTC. After a few years of no success, I stopped posting. I was told by one specialist that I wouldn't be able to have children. I went through a lot trying to accept that and move on. Then DH and I decided to get a second medical opinion, just to satisfy that we tried everything we could. I got a totally different diagnosis! And through some kind of miracle, here I am pregnant. We were in fertility treatment, so I suppose I shouldn't be so surprised. However, I still catch views of myself in the mirror sometimes and start to cry - I am so blessed. I am so happy.

Hi! I know I'm so late joining this group but I just found this due date club!

My name is Meredith and I am a sort of SAHM to J who is 19 months. We are due with #2 (and final:( ) babe on Dec. 8. We are thrilled, excited and just truly overjoyed to have another blessing on the way. My dh and I own a teeny little restaurant here on Tybee Island, GA where we do breakfast, lunch and some catering. It's pretty well a one man show at the store and I do all the other behind the scenes stuff.

I am still bfing J and am seeking some tandem nursing advice and pals as well as other like minded moms due in Dec.

Glad I found you all, hope you don't mind my joining in so late.

Meredith

Hi everyone,
I discovered this site a few weeks ago after I stopped working, and it's great to be amongst so many like-minded mommies! My name is Kerry and I am due 12/14/06, so far there have been a few false alarms but no baby, and I have found guidance and support through this board in getting through these last few weeks of anticipation, anxiety and baby obsession!

I am going for a VBAC but decided to do it at a large teaching hospital here in NYC with a supportive OB. At my 38 week appt last week was dilated 2 cm. and 50% effaced...hoping for more progress this week! Nice to meet you all!

I am also a New Yorker (or was until a couple of months ago....DH and I just moved to London for the year - what an experience being 7 months pregnant...)

Which hospital are you having the baby at?

Yeah I know I'm a little late, oh well. I am due with my 2nd boy Dec 25th. Hope i have him early but chances are I won't. :o Have a almost 21 month old named Deontrell. (Can't wait 2 introduce him 2 little bro-hope he handles it well:innocent ) Having a hospital birth-mostly because assisted home births in the state i'm in (South Dakota) are illegal :angry. ( a little behind time if you ask me) Luckily had a really good experience with last son in hospital, also have great easy going Dr. that listens. :p :bfs :2bfbabe: :goorg:
