I am 18 1/2 weeks pregnant. When I was pregnant with my son, I began to feel him move at around 16 1/2 weeks. So far I cannot say for sure that I have felt movement from this baby yet. I am starting to get nervous- any thoughts?

Do you feel just as pregnant as you should be?
If you do, the placenta may be in the front part of your uterus and make it really hard to feel those little movemnts. Part of feeling movement has to do with stretch receptors on the skin. The other possibility is that your baby is laying with his/her back to your front and kicking toward your back. Also makes it hard to feel movement. Talk with the baby and ask it to flip over.
Sounds goofy and any change in position may be a coincidence or you could just have a cooperative baby if this works. You could always cal your midwife and ask her to just listen quickly.
