View Full Version : Morning Sickness!

I don't think I ever really had any morning sickness with my DS...either that or I slept through the worst of it ;)
I wasn't working then (laid off) though, so I spent my days huddled on the couch or sleeping ALL day. I was SOOO tired.

This time though, i'm working fulltime (And then-some. I'm a systems admin) and it isn't likely to be a lesser workload...EVER. Luckily I spose, I am off tues and thurs so I can work late nights and weekend hours....

I'm having some nasty MS though :(
So far I was sick as a DOG this weekend...fever and such. Started feeling better monday (I called in anyways though, to recoup) but barfed twice, and i've thrown up every morning this week so far (m, t, w)

I decided to set my alarm clock almost 2 full hours early, woke up and nibbled down 2 crackers and a sip of gingerale and hit snooze.
I woke up over a hour later and got into the shower, only to throw up anyways :(

Dammit! why couldn't the bad morning sickness pregnancy have happened when I wasn't working??

The worse is the dizzy waves of nausea, and the cold sweats though. Make it hard to WORK!

Right now i'm nibbling on a nutrigrain bar, hoping it'll stay down and not make me SICK in like a hour :/

this sucks!

I'm sorry mama. Maybe you had a stomach bug? I dont think you get a fever with ms but I could be totally wrong. Ginger is supposed to help with the queasies.

I'm sorry you are sick! :( I had severe HG with my 1st, and nothing really helped, but somethings to try might be lemon wedges to suck on, lemon drops, sour patch kids, and ginger. Also, are you having any heartburn/reflux? That was something that definately triggered my vomitting, and once I talked to my OB about it (and got meds), I was able to cut down my vomitting to 3-4 times a day. I'm sure that you'll be feeling better in a couple of weeks!
