Hi!
Just wanted to re-introduce myself here. I wrote to this forum a couple of times before when my husband and I were planning a move to Germany. We are now in Germany and have found an apartment and a midwife we like (I am 35 wks pregnant at present).
So now I'm trying to finish getting ready for the baby (if you can ever be ready!?). I'd like to use cloth diapers but everything I've seen so far have been "flat fold" (ie, 80x80 cm). Does anyone know if you can get "pre-fold" diapers here? Or maybe what they are called in German? I'm trying not to really accumulate lots of baby stuff, but we'll surely need a few things- so does anyone have good ideas where to shop (online or otherwise- in the Heidelberg area?)
Thanks,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,

if you do read German, there is this great site on cloth diapers --
Naturwindeln (http://www.naturwindeln.de/index.php)

Many on-line shops do offer a test package, including various diaper systems. You can test it for a period of time.

I often shop here. (http://www.babygerecht.de/)
The lady, who runs the shop, is really nice.

best,
Ling

I'm not sure what prefolds are (Im not really up to date on my CD terminology) but I bought the Popolino/Mother ease ones. Ebay.de has TONNES of great deals for cloth diapers, but baby walz has them as well. They are non-bleached, i think wool and cotton, with snaps. I love them. :thumb
