you see when you click on the pregnancy and birth link to get here? (on the maternity and nursing wear billboard, which BTW is soooo funny since neither of the ladies in the picture are wearing clothes. Maybe it is suggesting that we should buy clothes so as not to run around naked? If I looked like they do I wouldn't need clothes!) No stretchies, no sagginess. I am so jealous!!!:lol

Mine looks like that while pregnant, but as soon as dd came out last time, everything went south. I'm sure it will be even worse this time.

I have awful cratery stretchies but I gained (+ then lost + then got pregnant again ) 100lbs, so I have lots of saggy skin. Very yuck!

My belly was very pretty while I was pg. No stretch marks, nothing. Now it's ugly. :(

My belly was so pretty with dd. Except mine was bright white and hers is tan. :lol I did get tiny tiny stretch marks right above my belly when I was in labor. :irked:

My belly was absolutely gorgeous ...well, to me...until I asked dh if he noticed any stretchmarks...what a dear man he is--he said "well, I think there are a couple down there." ...and he pointed UNDER my belly button where I couldn't see...
I went to the mirror and HORRORS! It looked like Freddie Kruger had snuck up on me and clawed the crap outta my lower belly! They were blood red and WIDE. HOW DID I MISS SEEING THEM?
Oh well...they did fade, but I fully expect them to make another appearance this pg! :)

I was just as lovely as the model for the first one, however this time I think I might be a little bit less tone. She is probably also airbrushed, by the way...

If it makes you feel better, I'm sure the "poster belly" lady has been edited at least a little bit, I doubt anyone has such a perfect belly :)

My belly is sort of divided in the middle and not a pretty round belly only skinny women seem to get :lol

I think my belly is really pretty, even tho I did start getting a few under-the-belly stretch marks two or so weeks ago (I'm 38w 5d today). I am very veiny in general, but I don't really think that detracts...
Here's my 37 week shots:

BTW, this is my first baby. Yes, my belly is huge. No, it's not twins. :lol
Another BTW so that no one hates me for having a pretty belly -- my bum is COVERED with stretch marks and craters from cellulite. Really, not a pretty picture at all... so, it's not like I haven't gotten lots of stretch marks/ lumpy flab. It just went south, that's all!

I always thought I was that pretty during pregnancy. But I'm vain. :lol

I could have been the belly model with my first dd. Of course, I was 16 :lol At least until week 40, when the stretch marks started...and by the time she arrived 12 days later, they were all over the place. So, my belly has never been the same.
OTOH, I have a friend with 3 kids (4, 2 and 1) who could be a model for Self or Shape or something - she has a perfect stomach - no stretch marks at all!!!!

With ds1 I didn't get stretch marks until after giving birth. Now they are huge this time. I don't care much sinceeven when I was really thin I wasn't the bikini or tube top sort. Also, I had a c-section which made a weird pouch type thing on the bottom ofmy belly. I think it is the way they sewed meup though b/c even now with a really tight 40+ belly, I still have sagging in that spot. Weird. That bothers more than stretches or anything b/c it just feels weird. :lol

Oh, now that is NOT fair! :lol
I love my preggie bellies, but they don't look like the one on that page. I get lots of stretch marks and my belly gets flat in the front instead of being round. The funniest thing is that my normally vertical belly button becomes horizontal and eventually "frowns".
And I get pregnant thighs. It's like they feel the need to bulk up to support the increased baby weight. :lol

If there was a softening filter and some airbrushing, I'd look that way too. With a tan that is. :lol
Okay, so maybe not!

The poster belly is so flawless, it must have been airbrushed, right? Anyway, with DS1, I despised my belly, sagginess and stretchmarks. This time around, I absolutely love it, and it's even got a few new stretchmarks. I think, having been through pg/birth, and being aware of the changes that happen has helped me embrace the beauty of this pregnancy. That, and with it being big and round, the lower half doesn't look like crepe paper anymore:lol
