Spotting after intercourse-4 weeks along

Hi all,
It's happened two times now that after love-making, I've spotted some blood...nothing major and it stops right afterward.
Anyone with ideas why? Should we not have sex for a while?

Unless there are other problems sex is fine. I spotted after sex with each of my 4 pregnancies. There is more blood in your nether-regions now and closer to the surface so you are probably popping tiny capilaries but it's nothing to worry about.

During pregnancy the cervix is extra sensitive. There is alot of extra blood flow to that area of the body as well. Some spotting after intercourse shouldn't be a cause for concern unless the bleeding would become heavy- one or more pads in an hour. My dr recommends waitning for a week after the bleeding/spotting stops to have intercourse again or to have anything in the vagina at all. I wouldn't worry too much. (The cervix can get 'bumped' during intercourse and that is what causes the bleeding.) Good Luck:thumb

I feel better...
It wasn't much at all..probably enough to put a quarter size spot on a pantyliner.
I will ask my dh to please take it easy :lol and not bust too many capillaries these days LOL
