I know this is something so far in the future but just a thought.. my DS's Bday is 11/23 and my new bean will be late dec or early jan.. so that means both bdays will end up during the busiest holiday season.. I was thinking of doing a tiny family celebration for the actual bdays. and then another celebration with friends and stuff on their half birthdays... any thoughts on this idea or an I just someone with way too much time on my hands?:wink
p.s. I originally put this in the wrong place.. duh

Not in your DDC, but sneaking in from October. I have two kiddoes with birthdays 2.5wks apart, both in November. This one is due in early October, so thankfully we have a bit more spacing. However, it's going to create birthday/holiday havoc!
I don't think my family and friends would be terribly receptive to the half-birthday idea. I also think it might confuse my younger kids if I tried it. Declan is three and just starting to learn about birthdays and parties and such. However, when they're older we might consider doing something fun, like a family vacation that is kid-centered, in the summer months as part of their upcoming birthdays.
Ok, not the greatest advice, but I know what you're talking about. It's hard to have birthdays around the holiday!
