Hi.

I am just curious. Those of you who have little ones around, do you think that they can tell that you are prego?

My DD is 10 months and I swear that she "knows." She has been pulling up on furniture for the past few months but in just the last week or two she has been pulling up on my legs and burying her head in my groin area. Then she starts babbling. It is like she is talking to her little sibling. :lol Funny huh? She has also been pretty clingy. And last week (before I knew I was pregnant) she weaned herself. :crying She just refused to nurse and would actually bite me when I would try to make her. :(

Anyhow is anyone else experiencing any similar situations?

Aw, I'm sorry about the sudden weaning. I bet that was surprising!

My kids are older, 5 & 7. We haven't told them yet, mainly b/c dd5 will tell *everyone* & I'm not quite ready to tell the girl who bags our groceries :)

I've been v. low key, but I'm pretty sure dd7 knows. She's just perceptive though--it's nothing supernatural. She told me yesterday that she'd love it if we had a new baby. This week she took her baby book off the shelf and read it cover to cover. She's been talking about names she likes.

I can't wait to tell her, so that I can ask what tipped her off!

I'm so sorry about your daugther refusing to nurse. My ds weaned himself at 14 months and it broke it my heart. We really tried everything to get him to nurse again. He was just done. :(

Anyway, he is 21 months old now and he doesn't seem to be aware that I'm pregnant yet, but he has been pulling my shirt out and looking at my boobs from the top lately like he wants to nurse again, or he is noticing they are bigger or something. :lol

That's kinda funny you'd mention that. My ds is almost 8 mo. and he has never paid attention to other babies, just the other day we heard a newborn crying on tv and he stopped all of the sudden and looked around I said "did you hear a baby?" The next day we got 2 lines :lol

My oldest son who is six knew before we even conceived. I was at a meeting with his teacher about 3 and a half weeks ago and she told me congratulations. I asked for what and she told me Sade said you are going to have a baby. I asked when he told her this and she said yesterday. I told her that we weren't pregnant. I asked him about it later and he told me but mom you are going ot have a baby. When dh told the boys that mommy has a baby growing in her tummy a few days ago ds's reaction was GASP I knew it! It was so funny.

My 4yo dd made the announcement at the most inopportune of times. Two days after I conceived, she was sitting on my lap at my grandmother's funeral and said, quite loudly in the silence, "mommy has a baby in her belly." I think she said it b/c we were sitting next to my cousin and her newborn. I immediately said, "shhh, no I don't," with an embarrassed smile on my face. Looks like I did! :wink

The other night when I was trying on maternity tops, my belly stuck out and I looked four months - she said "you almost have a baby in your belly, don't you?" :lol
