Nope, not yet. I suppose I'll have my first midwife appt. (apart from the consultation/interview) around 8-10 weeks.

I could have if I wanted to.. However, DH was out of town until two days ago and he wanted to go too so we will be going next week. I will be 7 weeks then.

I had two blood tests done to check hcg levels (at my request), but my first real appointment is May 30 (I'll be somewhere around 8 wks., I think?!?).

No medical care yet here. I currently only have an OB/GYN (I live in a non-midwife friendly state). I’m not too keen on going to see her – getting swabbed and poked and generally scared to death.
We’re moving to Washington the end of June and my thinking was that I’d find a midwife long distance and try to meet with her as soon as we get out there. This would put me at 11-12 weeks without any prenatal care. Does anyone have any experience with waiting this long? I know there are some women on MDC have UCs without any prenatal care; I’m figuring as long I take good care of myself and *generally* feel OK, I can trust my body to do its thing for this little one until I can meet with a health care professional.

I have my first appt with my family doc since finding out, on May 25 - at that point i will be 8w6d. Today I called the local midwifery practise and booked us an appt to meet with a mw for the first time on May 23. I got the last spot open - woohoo!! meant to be!

I haven't gone yet. I have an appt. scheduled for June 14th with the OB I found who will do VBACs (I will be 8w6d). BUT...I am so conflicted because in my heart I want midwifery care and a homebirth. My midwife from my last pregnancy has agreed to "go under the radar" and attend this birth...I live in a state where midwives are not allowed to attend VBACs at home.
We will be making a decision over the next several weeks, and I guess I will be seeing one or the other around 8 weeks/mid-June.

I went to my first DA on May 10th. I was 5weeks and 3 days then. I normally wouldn't have gone so early but my son has a genetic disorder so I wanted to get in sooner in case I had to see a specialist early on.
I go again on June 1st.

I just got my BFP 2 days ago, so no. I havent even called yet. Its kinda tricky because I work at the birth center, and I'm not ready to tell yet. This is my third pg though so I think I can handle it for a few weeks. :lol I am so looking forward to surprising my MW!

DH and I just went to have an initial consultation/interview with a midwife practice last night. We now have decide if we want to shop around and look for other practices, or just go with the first person we met with. I just started my 8th week. This practice said that they usually do their first medical appointment around 9-10 weeks.

I'm going at 12 weeks. I don't see why I would need to go sooner, there's not much my midwife can do for me since I refuse anyrthing I deem unnecessary. My plan is just to have faith and be relaxed through this pregnancy, something I lacked terribly in the last one.
