View Full Version : Very scared this morning...

I didn't feel well last night (kind of feverish and clammy), then woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep for a long time (which is not at all like me). I just woke up a little bit ago and realized that the pregnancy symptoms I have had for several days (very sore breasts, hardening abdomen, slightly dizzy feeling) are completely gone.

I'm so scared, because this is what happened last time. I can't reach my doctor for over two hours and just needed to vent. I so badly want this pregnancy to be OK. Please send me positive thoughts!

Oh sweetie... :hug Hang in there! This is all new to me so I can't offer BTDT advice, but I hope everything is fine with your little one.

My thoughts are with you... I sometimes feel the smae way if I don't feel violently ill. but then I relize I pee alot, have heart burn and super sonic smell.
Hopefully all is well.... can you get to the dr's for a beta?

:hug I'm praying that everything is okay. I know lots of people say that their symptoms come and go.

:hug I'm hoping everything is just fine. Try not to worry, maybe you're just coming down with a little cold or lucky enough to have a symptom-free day.

Well, I still have m/s (actually worse than it's been before), so hopefully that is a good sign... :shrug

I went to my OB and had a blood test, should know the results by the end of the day so at least I will know if my hcg or progesterone is completely out of whack, but won't have any real information until after the second test on Friday. They won't do an ultrasound until 7 wks., even to confirm whether a m/c has taken place...is that normal? Seems kind of strange to me...

They generally can't find the baby via ultrasound prior to that, so yes, it's normal.

(((hugs))) :hug

I can totally relate...I have freak out moments quite frequently that suddenly I'm not pregnant anymore...I think it's because I've had a previous miscarriage...I hope this pregnancy ends with a healthy, happy, full-term baby for you! :)

They might want to wait until 7 weeks for an ultrasound to guarantee seeing a heartbeat if the baby is indeed growing accordingly. They may not want to try earlier in order to prevent you from worrying, when in fact everything is going just fine.

I know that its probably protocol to have an US earliest at 7 weeks but I had two already to confirm that the pregnancy is still viable because I was bleeding. They orginally said that I was 10 weeks but they told me today that I am about 5 weeks and everything looks normal.
So if there is bleeding involved, I think that an US can be done to confirm that you are still pregnant.

Thanks so much for all of your support! :love

DH and I spent all day yesterday grieving and looking toward the future because we were 99% sure that I had miscarried - I had no more sore breasts, no more bloating, no more constipation, no more hard abdomen - nothing except increasingly bad nausea (which eventually led to vomiting). I also got some light menstrual-like cramps in the evening, and weird twitches in my abdomen.

Now, I just got a chipper call from my doctor's office saying they think I *might* still be pregnant because my HCG from yesterday morning was 25,560 (we were predicting that if all was well it would be somewhere in the range of 5,000-10,000 based on my earlier tests). But still no confirmation until I go for the second blood test tomorrow. I will be waiting at the door of the lab when they open at 7:00a.m. :wink

I'm so confused - my body told me this pregnancy is over, and I'm at peace with that (after going through two boxes of tissue and a lot of "Why me???"). But now I don't know...

Crazy ride, this pregnancy thing! I guess at this point I will be relieved either way. Thanks again for your positive thoughts and wishes.

I know what it is like to stress over symptoms and beta #s as DS #1 was concieved after 3 m/c and 2.5 years, But you need to remain calm as hard as it sounds it is much better for you. Being super stressed and thinking negative thoughts affects the baby. The cramps are probably your uterus stretching so try to relax. I hope the best for you.

I'm just jumping in from October to give you some reassurance. I had a miscarriage five years ago and it really affected me in my next pregnancy. I spent so much time worrying! But lo and behold, a healthy baby boy :)

This pregnancy threw me for a bit of a loop, but I did my best to stay calm. I had exactly the same thing happen - I'd go two or three days with very, very few symptoms and then WHAM! Symptom hell would start up again for a few days. Then another two days of nothing followed by a ton of symptoms. My first trimester was like an emotional rollercoaster!

I'm 19wks along now with a very active, thriving baby in my belly. Just wanted to let you know that loss of symptoms, while stressful - especially to those who've had losses before, can be nothing at all to worry about. My little one is proof of that :)

I'm still here! :D

My dr.'s office just called and said my hcg went from 25,000 to 41,000 and that I shouldn't worry about the change in symptoms! DH and I are just in shock - we had truly already mourned for this little one, now we have to (get to!) reconnect...

Thanks so much for all of your positive thoughts and messages - it really helped me through this.

Now, if I could just figure out how to deal with this flippin' morning sickness...!

What a relief I'm so happy for you. Seabands which put pressure on your wrist have helped me with morning sickness.
