I figured since you gals were the newest pg you would have a quick run down.

Which brands have a good rep right now?

When I got pg with Tracy it was EPT. When I got pg with Bryce is was First Response Early and EPT sucked.

:)

Well, let me explain.... hubby is 1 year post vasectomy. He had his first post vas check but didn't go back for the rest. My last period started Good Friday. Af is 6 days late. I tested the day af was due and got a negative. With T I was 8 days late before testing, with B I was 2 days late before I got a positive.

I want to hurl most of the time and today at training, for work, the sound of other attenders pouring water from a pitcher to a glass made me want to throw up. I almost yelled, STOP POURING THE WATER!!!! in the middle of class.

Boobs--- hurt.

Cramping-- you bet. Rolling pains from side to side and shooting pains from vagina through my uterus.

But this could be stress or hormone induced. So, before I went and bought a test.

I was in the January 2004 club....JANUARY IS A GREAT TIME TO HAVE A BABY!! You gals are lucky!

I haven't checked on the site in a long time!

I forgot to add overly moody and teary over every freakin thing!!

I feel silly for even worrying about it.

One more thing... I had one instance of spotting 2 Sundays ago. Went tot he bathroom, there it was, thought it was af. Nothing else showed.

I'll test in the morning again. Just to see.

Maybe it is stress induced....

actually as for a pg test I went to the dollar general and bought like 10 of them , how could I not they were a buck a piece. I figure even if I took one ever other day eventually it will show up..heheh and it did.. ( I bought this many because we decided in March that we were going to try for a baby...and suddenly I was pregnant...and I know when I conceived because we only did the deed once in april. LOL!! so much for our plan to really try.):lol :lol

Me too... I only bought 5, but the lady looked at me funny when I went to pay. :)

Dollar General tests are actually pretty sensitive too! I love the peeonastick site. That's where I found out about these tests, and they definitely work well! I got bfp on first day of missed AF. It was faint and took a minute to show up, but it was definitely positive!!!! I took 2 more the next day, just to see those bfps. :)

With Kami, I'd bought the cheapest one from walmart (think it was $2 or something)...and that was the only one I used until the one at the doctor's office.

still haven't done one this time yet....not sure why! Just afraid it might be negative...or maybe i'm afraid it'll really be positive!! lol:lol

Megan, good Lord girl, you have more pg scares than anyone I've ever met. :lol

Anyhoo, I'd recommend the EPT Digital. It said 'pregnant' for me at 9dpo and my hcg was less than 20. If you are 6 days late and pregnant, your hcg is definately over 20.

Get the digital, that way there are no lines to scrutinize or possible evaps.

I agree with the ladies the Dollar Tree tests are great!! I got my first BFP at 11dpo with them. ALthough its was very light. I also used an EPT Digital the next day and got a PREGNANT! Love the digitals!

Hey now! :) This is the first one in over a year! The rest I blame on lingering ppd and bouts of depression. (There are probably a lot of ppl who saw this that are rolling their eyes!)

I recalculated and I'm only about 3 days late (cd34 out of a normal 31 cycle).

Don't stalk too hard. I'm gonna try and wait till Saturday. I have HUGE test coming up for work and I don't want to be distracted. You would think that would make me want to test but the idea of testing FREAKS me out. So, I'm holding off.

So, stalk me on saturday if anything!

Ok, I did test yesterday morning and I had a very faint second line. I tested this morning to the same very faint line.

In my opinion, if those tests are correct that the pg isn't viable. By now I should have a blaring line no matter what time of day. I'm cd37.

So, I'll wait a week and if no af I'll call the doc.

Thanks for letting me go insane with you!

A second line means a viable pregnancy right now. Congratulations!

You may be on cd37 but you said your cycles are usually 31 days which means you probably don't O until cd18 or cd19. Which means you are only 18days past O. I wouldn't think you would have a dark line until later.

I miss you too!!!!

Wait...did I know you were pregnant? How long has it been since I "saw" you?

We'll see what my "status" is soon enough. I just find it hard to believe it is possible and now it is staring me in the face as a maybe. I'm so ready to move on from this stage it kinda makes me sad that it might be true (which I am sure would be followed with much happiness).

:yeah:

Remember that hpts are NOT quantitative - they don't say "how" pregnant you are - just whether you are pregnant or not. A faint line doesn't mean a non-viable pregnancy. It could mean that that test doesn't have alot of dye in it.

Btw, I have 35 day cycles, and ovulate around day 23, so at CDs 36 and 37, I had very faint lines on the Dollar General tests I took (and they took a full minute to show up at all!). Those are pretty sensitive tests, but they probably skimp on the amount of dye they use. :lol Anyway, my baby is now over 13 weeks along, has a strong heartbeat, and is VERY active. :D So don't let a faint line discourage you!!!!

I don't know if you knew. :lol I have no clue how long it's been. A while, I know. I'm in the October/November DDC. :D

What does your hottie husband think about the pregnancy possibility? I'm sure it would be somewhat of a shock for both of you since he did get snipped. :hug

He is not happy about the idea. If it does end up being a positive I'm gonna have them tie my tubes while they are in there. Might as well. :)

I'm trying to down play it to him so he doesn't freak out till we actually know something concrete.

Megan, you should have gotten a Clear Blue Easy Digital (the early result one). That way there would be no lines to scrutinize. They are very very sensitive. The day I got a 'Pregnant' on one my beta was less than 15.

What brand of test did you use? Some tests give evaps, no matter what. And I've seen some of the evaps on FF and sometimes they look pink even.

Hope this doesn't come out wrong, but you need to test with a reliable test (FRER or CBE Digital Early Result) and find out for sure what is going on asap. Otherwise you are always going to be left wondering if your dh's vascetomy has failed (which is very very rare, btw), probably leading to more scares every time you are a day late or something. Isn't the whole point of going through a vasectomy so you don't have to worry anymore about this stuff? If the good reliable tests are negative, send your dh for his second check and then relax.

Go get some good tests and let us know.

Gonna agree about the CBE digi!

I got a FAINT FAINT line on my aimstick (dip) like *hours* after I'd tested. I tested in the am, and took my shower and came out and nothing. Tossed it and went to work.
Wasn't feeling well (cold) and came home and of course, checked the test because i'm psychotic...hehe.
VERY VERY faint line, but I said...what the hell, i'll waste one of my new digis.

It came up positive!!

The crazyest thing was, I had my LMP 2/23, sex on 3/5, and got the positive with NON fmu on 3/11!!

Crikey!

Just posting to I can be one of the first to hear when you really do have an result! :lol

I went to buy a digital test. On a whim I went to the bathroom first. I've started spotting and cramping. Not too bad yet.

Oh, and to top it offlast night Benjamin said, "Well, It wouldn't have been the end of the world." That may not seem too huge but for him that was a HUGE thing to say. :) At least I know if it ever does happen that he won't totally freak out....except over the idea he has to have his V again!
