I know what you feel. I gave up coffee and it has been very hard. I did go out for a long power walk and felt that I had more energy. Maybe if you just get out of the house for some fresh air.
I'm am also 4 1/2 wks.

Me too! And being so tired is making me exceedingly cranky and my kids will not let me nap. :irked: I went up to bed at 8:30 last night, tried to read, and didnt make the 10 o'clock news and I am a night owl! And then slept until the kids hassled me up at 7:45. Ugh.
I hope it passes soon. I wasnt this bad this early with my other two.

Can you try going to bed any earlier? I'm in bed around 8-9pm, and feel fine when I wake up in the morning. (Well, except for the morning sickness...)

Well, I go to bed as soon as DD will, which is usually between 8:30 and 9:30 PM, and I absolutely cannot make it through the day without a nap. If I can nap when DD is napping, then my day isn't too bad, but if she naps when we are going somewhere, then its a lot harder. My DH is out of town and DD watched the TV more then once so I could take a 15-20 minute cat-nap just so I could make it through the rest of the day :bag:

If I go to bed an earlier right now, I won't get to see DS or DF :lol I'm asleep before DS these days...I think....I have no memory of how he gets into his nighttime diaper or getting him to bed so I assume that DF is doing that.
Bliss- I totally here you on the 18 month old thing....Ds is abnout 17.5 mos. and never stops it seems. Dummy me did chores during his nap and Daddy is not home yet....Here's hoping for an early bed time :innocent

Poor Kerri...
I have been forcing myself to lay down and take a nap when DS does (even though that IS a good time to get things done.) My bigger problem is that I am most tired around 10 am. It's almost unbearable. And my DH travels a lot for work, so often I am the sole caregive for days on end...it can be exhausting. Luckily, Jack is really a good solo player - he really likes to sit and read his books, or play with his train table, or this set of wooden musical instruments his Nana gave him...so I can drool and snooze a bit on the couch...:lol

I am just wiped out all the time!
How do you other mamas get to sleep so early?!? I get home from work around 7, pay bills and go through mail, make and eat dinner, walk the dogs, and, hopefully (though not nearly enough) go to the gym for 30 minutes of cardio...we're very lucky if we're in bed by 11, and then we're up at 5:30 to start over again...I've cut out lots of stuff (reading the newspaper, watching The Daily Show daily, etc.) so I can at least be in bed before midnight, but what don't know what else I can do...?
So what is the secret? How can I be in bed by 9pm? I would SO love it, as I am finding myself just numb with fatigue during the day, and have been having to make excuses so I can sneak out to my car in the afternoon for a 20 minute nap. Ugh! Don't know how I can keep this up! :yawning:

I just do, even if it means leaving work undone around the house! We always have a mad rush from 6:30-7:30 or 8, with DH getting home from work (I'm mostly a SAHM, I work very part time), dinner, bath sometimes, and getting the kids to bed. Once they are done I am usually pretty done too, after being with them all day and doing all the errands, chauffeuring to preschool, and housework, so if I need to I just crash after they are in bed. Of course, that means I dont get any me time or DH time or time to get caught up on the next day's work, but that's how I manage it. Some days I make it later but if I need to I try to listen to my body and sleep.
I've been having insomnia some nights, so I sometimes get caught up on chores a bit at 1 am instead. :lol

I'm so exhausted and nauseous and just not a super joy to be around. I just feel so sick and want to lay in bed, but then my head starts spinning and I start to get a headache if I lay there too long. It's really miserable.
My first pregnancy I taught 4th graders and didn't get home till like 5pm everyday and then graded papers and stuff...I don't know how I did it. There is no way I would be able to work right now with the way I'm feeling. I can hardly get my regular house chores done as it is.

Danielle - I currently work in a school with children with EH or SED diagnoses, so I feel your pain!
I'm almost done....1.5 weeks left working and then I'm working for my dad doing landscaping all summer and will have a lot mroe flexibility. I'm hoping just to stay on with him until I can stay home full time (Nov. at the earliest) and since he wants really fancy gardens it may work. That would make pg sleepiness alot easier to cope with!!

I am soooo tired too. DS naps and I can't bring myself to lay down because there is too much to do! He only takes an hr nap too! And it's so hard to do the dishes and pick up the house. :)

Ditto. I don't remember being this tired the first time around at all!!! Hopefully, it will end soon when we enter the glorious 2nd trimester.
