Hi, I just discovered recently that I am preggo with #2. This was quite a surprise to us as we weren't trying (our son just turned 1, we weren't planning on another for at least another year), but the shock is starting to wear off and we are deleriously happy :) I'm not exactly sure how far along I am. I'm guessing between 4-8 weeks.
I have a couple of questions...are your symptoms different this time from your previous pregnancy? I am pretty early still but my bbs aren't sore and I don't have many symptoms other than some weird cravings and a bit of a bloated tummy.
Secondly, is anyone else pregnant who has little ones? The thought of 2 under 2 is frightening to me. I could use a buddy!!
Thirdly, I'm still nursing my son, is anyone else bf and pregnant? Is there anything I should know about bf while pregnant?

My dd is almost exactly 2 years older than ds. I'm pg with #3, who will be 27 months younger than ds.
I have no symptoms except slight constipation, which is much different than previously. Ds is still nursing (he's 19 months), but it seems to be more for comfort than actual need. He nurses first thing in the morning, after nap, and sometimes before bed. I had planned on weaning him before his 2nd birthday. He had just about weaned himself a couple of months ago but I suspect my milk changed with the pregnancy because he's nursing more these days.

So far I have only had some heart burn and peeing alot. Last time I was barfing all the time and lost 10 lbs by 12 wks.
Ds will be almost 3 by the time new baby comes. I was a nanny for many yrs and taken care of 2 under 2. Its not always easy but its rewarding too.

There is a thread somewhere of all the bfing preggos on teh board. I am bfing still hes 25 mths. I do not plan on weaning and will tandem nurse if he wants.
Congrats on your pregnancy! When will you find out a edd?

I am pg with #2 also. Hayden was born in April, 2003, so I can't help you with the bf question. But symptoms...............OMG. I wasn't sick at all with my son. This time, I have morning sickness and dizziness off and on all hours of the day and I am so tired. I'm sure it's from chasing a 3 year old. The first time around I could be totally selfish and sit on the couch all day if I wanted to. All complaints aside, we are very excited!!:lol

As soon as I find out if I am in with the m/w I had from my last pregnancy and she schedules me a dating u/s (I have very irregular cycles). I should know probably within the next month or so.

Hi,
Congrats on the pregnancy! I just found out I was pregnant last week w/ my second baby with my husband. I have a sixteen year old. But, this has been like doing it all for the first time. My babylove is only 5 months old. So, I'll have 2 under two as well.....I'm strapping myself in for a fun ride.:lol
I'm having mild syptoms; slight nausea at night, headaches, heartburn and wicked gas:blush. All in all, I don't really feel pregnant though. I keep taking pregnancy tests to make sure I'm dreaming. :D
I'm not breastfeeding, so I can't help out with that, sorry. But, I'm more than willing to commiserate!
Here's to a healthy, happy pregnancy:banana

I'm on babe #4, every pregnancy has been completely different. Heartburn and the kicking gas has set in here too:bolt
tdoreen, I think you and I have the youngest babes so far. Our little guy is 8 months. We will probably tandem nurse as he is in love with the boob :lol Supply has definitely taken a downturn, but it has correlated to Taite eating more and more food.

This is our second baby, and I am still nursing DS#1 (3 years old), so we'll see whether a no-milk weaning happens, or if it becomes just a break before the baby comes.
My supply had already dropped somewhat because of interest in foods, and just nursing less in general. Plus, I have painful sores on my nipples (especially on one side), so I have been refusing more, too. :-( I hope I am not too much of a downer! I highly recommend "Adventures in Tandem Nursing" -- especially for those of you with very young soon-to-be siblings. It talks quite a bit about tandem nursing, which begins when you are pregnant, so you are already tandeming, did you know? LOL!
Anyway, even if you milk dries up for a little while, there will be enough for everybody when Baby arrives. :-)

I'm nursing a 2 year old.
My nipples are sore but I've dealt with that before.
I have no problem nursing him as long as he wants to nurse but I am a bit worried about when the baby comes. Sometimes when I'm cuddling with dh he trys to break us apart and asks to nurse :lol Jealous, I guess? So when there's a little baby nursing constantly I don't know how he's going to react. Tips anyone?

Pregnant with number two here! Still nursing number one who is 28 months. She will be three (perhaps exactly three) when the baby is born.
I've been much sicker this pg earlier then I was when I was pg with DD. Just had an u/s today and was relieved to just see ONE baby!
There is another thread for pg and breastfeeding mamas, but a great website to read is:
http://nursingtwo.kellymom.com/
Its has excerpts from the book "Adventures in Tandem Nursing" by Hilary Flower, which I second the recommendation for.
My milk supply seems to be okay, but I have VERY sensive nipples so nursing hasn't been as rewarding as it used to be. I still feel good about giving DD what she needs so I try to think of that when I'm feeling YOWCH!
