Well, went in for my u/s today. I had a really scary early pg last time with lots of bleeding had one to help my anxiety levels. :o
I had a DREAM tech. She was able to get all the data abdominally so I didn't have to deal with that lovely transvaginal probe. I saw the baby and the little flicker of a heartbeat right away. The tech even let me listen to it, beating strong at 155 BPM. I could make out the head, body, and heartbeat, but no other body parts yet (which she said was completely normal for this stage of pregnancy). Saw the yolk sac as well. The tech was super friendly and told me everything looked normal and perfect.
The ultrasound measured me at 8 weeks 2 days today, which moved my due date up by 2 days from what I had thought it was according to my charts, but I've always wondered if I'm a slow-riser when it comes to taking my BBT and it lines up nicely with our baby-making efforts. So now my due date is December 30th, which ironically is the EXACT same date I was due with DD.
I couldn't stop smiling as I drove home. I feel so much more calm and at ease. I know it doesn't guarantee everything will remain perfect and normal, but now I feel a lot more like the odds are in my favor! :love
