View Full Version : Anyone else not totally sure about their due date?

I'm not 100% sure about my due date this time, which is sort of freaking me out a little. I don't know the exact date of my last cycle, but I'm pretty sure it was mid to late April. It was only the 2nd cycle since my last baby, and I'm irregular as it is. I always ovulate late, so going by my LMP is never very accurate anyway. The only thing I have to go on is that I tested negative on May 15th but then tested postitive 2 weeks later. So, I know conception must have happened sometime between the first week of May and May 14th. Clear as mud? Anyway, that would put my EDD the last week of Jan or the first week of Feb. I always make it to my due date or past, so I'm going with Feb in my mind. Man, I wish I had been paying attention, but May was such a busy month for us that it's mostly a blur.
I wonder if I should try to get an early ultrasound to help confirm the due date? Is anyone else unsure of their dates, and are you getting an ultrasound?

I am not 100% sure when my EDD is either- but I know within a couple of days so that should be ok. what freaks me out is that if they get the 'wrong' date and I go too far overdue they force me into a hospital :(
Last time I didn't even know what month I got pregnant! lol
my EDD is somwhere between the 5th to the 7th

Oh wow, did you have an ultrasound early on to give a ballpark idea of a due date?

I am not too sure. I am nursing and got my period in December when DS was 9 mons. It's been like 40 days long (my cycle) since. I got my period May 3rd and it was normal. But then I tested last Wend and got 3 positives...at 7 DPO....so I may just O'd earlier.

I am about as clear and thick, muddy mud on my due date. :o I haven't had a period in 2 1/2 years and the last time I took a pg. test was, well, in March??? I think we conceived about the first week in May but I could easily be off by as much as 2 weeks (or more!)
I don't plan on getting an ultrasound early at all. If I seem to be going into "pre-term" labor I may have one then so they can determine the size better to help make arrangements for what the baby will need. Early ultrasounds are much more dangerous than not knowing my exact due date at this point. I hope that we can go by measurements and compare them to my first pregnancy and get a good idea...I hope. But no ultrasounds for me. :wink

I'm pretty certain that I am due between the 5-8th. I have been charting for several years now & was keeping very detailed records at the time:thumb Now, I DO want a few early sonograms because of my last miscarriage. I am a little paranoid.

Yes I did-
my last pregnancy wasnt planned and I spotted for the first two months so I didn't find out until month three!!!
They did the U/S to get a due date, and I eneded up being a bit late.... it is nice to be aware I am pregnant for the first trimester instead of completely oblivious

We aren't doing ultrasounds either or doppler. So I figure if I go into "early" labor...I'm probably a week or so over due (DS was induced wrongfully at 41 weeks 5 days and probably would have hit 42 weeks...my fmaily tends to cook em long!)
