I am wondering if there are any good books or websites that outline how going through a pregnancy with a midwife is different from going through it with an OB. I really know next to nothing about it!
Thanks,
Erin

There's a little section in Dr. Sear's "Pregnancy Book", maybe more detail in his book "The Birth Book", but I haven't read that one.
For a midwife's perspective on childbirth and lots of birth stories, Ina May's Guide to Childbirth is excellent.
Henci Goer's "The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth", I don't know if this is out of date now, I read it 5 years ago when pregnant with my first baby.
That's great that you are doing research and comparing, it helps to feel confident about your choices!
Sheila Kitzinger is also a great author.
The Gentle Birth book is great.
But try to also keep in mind that just because someone had certain initials behing her or his name doesn't mean they are practicing that way. Some doctors can be more natural related! Interview each person and go with who YOU think will fit your style of birthing.
TRUST yourself!!!!
