Me!! I am very determined to stay in shape and be healthy this pregnancy! I'd love to have a walking/exercise buddy! My goal right now is to walk 2 miles very briskly everday. Sometimes I jog for a little stretch of that if the mood hits. I'm hoping to bump up to 3 miles a day later on. I also swim a few times a week too, but it's more just for leisure.
I should get a good pregnancy yoga video. Any good recommendations???

Yes! Swimming too!
These are the videos I've heard good things about and want:
*Dr. Christine Anderson's Dynamic Prenatal Yoga by Stephanie Hubbard- heard awesome things about this one!
*Crunch Yoga Mama - Prenatal Yoga by Yoga Mama- own this one, but need to try it
*ZenMama with Rainbeau Mars: Prenatal Yoga Workout- heard great things about this one
*The Divine Mother Prenatal Yoga Series with Anna Getty- "
* The Perfect Pregnancy Workout- "
*Pilates During Pregnancy-"
We shoudl totally set up a workout, walking, yoga, swimming buddy system!!!

Sounds great! So how does the buddy system work? Do we just post what exercise we do on a daily basis?
Thanks so much for the video recommendations! I'll look into them.

I would love to join in but don't know how this works! LOL!
I already walk everyday so I wouldn't mind having a buddy too! :D

I'll go look in the other DDC and maybe ask....
Ok...here's how it will go down. We'll write our goals and then we'll do like a weekly chat thread about walking/excercising and motivate eachother.
I feel like if I have to tell someone everyday or nearly everyday what my routine was...I'll be more inclined to do it!

My goal is 1000 minutes of excerise in the month of June...I just type in how many minutes I exercise each day-it motivates me & gets me off my tush!!:lol
Maybe we could post a sticky & you can edit your post as you report your excerising time???

I am starting a prenatal yoga class in town tomorrow night. Unfortunately, it is only one night a week. I am hoping Boulder might have more classes that will work with my schedule.
I have a dog, so daily walks/hikes will be in order. I enjoy that time so much anyway.
Also, I dance hula and will be joining a halau in Boulder next week.

I would love to join you guys! I gained 65 pounds with my first pregnancy, and am still carrying around 40 stubborn ones that refuse to come off. I am determined NOT to gain that much this time around.
I bought a jogging stroller this month so that walking with the little one has been much easier, and getting into a routine so that I can keep it up. I'm also going to work out with resistance bands and do a little bit of weight lifting, since I've been told that weight lifting during pregnancy is perfectly okay, as long as it isn't overdone. :)

Count me in!
My goal for June is to do something active for at least 30 minutes every day that I am not in the Dragon Boat (This is a paddling sport -- and I am on a team we practice 3 days a week currently).
I walk a lot already (because I live in a city) but could definitely walk more.
I plan to sign up for prenatal yoga next week (my sister in law is an instructor at our local yoga studio, so I have to tell her first before I sign up or she will find out anyway!)
