My nausea has taken a sharp increase in the last few days, and I know I need to up my protein intake to help combat it. I've mainly been craving fresh fruit and veggies and find myself shying away from meats and dairy, because they just don't sound good. What are your favorite ways to sneak in protein?

If you have no issues with peanut butter...

My fave snack is mashed banana with peanut butter.
My fave breakfast is a ricotta cheese "shake" smoothie dealy. (why yes! I did used to be on south beach:lol ) it's basically ricotta cheese, skim milk, a little flavouring and ice blended till smooth.

Peanut butter is good! This is the first pregnancy that I've been able to stomach it. I'm not usually a big fan of it, but I've been loving it this time. Might have to go and fix a peanut butter banana sandwich!

Toasted pecans or other nuts! I keep a small bowl of them at my desk. A handful helps with my nausea.

Hugs!

Good idea! I think I have a box of Zone protein bars in the kitchen that I'd forgotten about.

I always forget about nuts for some reason. Going to do the same and keep a small bowl of pecans at my desk and maybe throw a small ziplock of them in the diaper bag. Thanks!

A bag of almonds
YoBaby yogurt snack packs from Stonyfield farm
Bolthouse Farms perfectly protein Soy Vaniila Chai Smoothie

I probably couldnt live without the vanilla chai smoothie drink. You can usually find it in the produce section near the dressings. Its delicious and nutritious and easy to stomach (for me anyway).

I usually make smoothies or yogurt shakes and put in a scoop of protein powder, because when I am already nauseous, the usual protein foods make me even sicker.

Eggs. I love eggs. Scrambled or hard boiled is my preference. IMHO, eggs might be the most perfect food.

Then again, when my mom was pg with me, she couldn't even hear the word egg without gagging.

I really like eggs too. I was disappointed to find out they don't really have that much protein in them :(
