Last night, sometime in the middle of the night, I woke up horribly nauseated. I thought I was going to vomit, it was that bad.
I've never had morning sickness this early on and I've never had it wake me up before.
Ugh.

Ooh, the middle of the night stuff is the worst! You should really be able to just rest in the night, right?

I have the same thing going on right now...but it never seems to go away! It's like a constant feeling like something is wiggling my stomach and I feel like I'm going to puke at any moment. I don't remember feeling like this with Nate at all. I'm hoping it doesn't last very long because I'm not getting much done around the house...I'm barely getting everything done for Nate!
UGH...I know I shouldn't rush it, but come on end of the first trimester!

I had this happen the night before last. I had gone to bed without having a bedtime snack and think that was probably the culprit. I woke up at 3 am horribly nauseated. I really could've thrown up so easily but fought it instead. I DON'T want to start that ball rolling for fear I wouldn't stop! It took me 30 min to eat half a tortilla w/ cheese, because I was so nauseated and on the verge of puking. That's usually one thing that's super easy for me to get down, but not that night.
Note to self: Do not skip bedtime snack!!!

I have been going through constant nausea for the past 5 days or so...pretty much always feeling like I am going to throw up...especially before bed. I tried having a nighttime snack to avoid throwing up, but I honestly think it makes it worse...what do you some of you have for your nighttime snack...and how long before bed?
At bedtime, I'll throw up my snack and my dinner from 4 hours previous? Anyone else have this happen?
I teach and have also had to leave my classroom to throw up in the bathroom :dizzy: :gloomy: ...and combine that with (diarrhea), I know gross...I feel like dying...
I ordered preggie pops to see if that would help me get through the day...any other suggestions?

When I woke up last night (around 1am) to feed the little one and pee I felt horrible. :(

I tend to have vanilla yogurt with granola mixed in around 2 hrs before bed. Then I have some salted popcorn (home made, microwave is no good, IMO) about an hour before bed. It's really important to not only get your protein in but also to have a little salt to elavate your blood pressure. I've also taken to drinking a glass of emergen-c with the popcorn to get an extra kick of vit. b before bed.

((hugs)) Constant nausea is the pits. The only way I seem to be able to keep mine managable is to snack on healthy stuff very OFTEN all day long. If I slack and go too long without eating something I pay with horrible nausea instead of mild. I eat different things before bed, but I try to make sure it's got a good balance of protein and carbs. A couple nights in a row I ate low fat yogurt, but that's been too unappealing lately. Last night I ate a Zone protein bar just before bed. I made myself a big pot of lentil soup today, and that's easy for me to heat just a little up here and there. It's soothing and easy to get down, and it's packed with protein. I've also had a few handfuls of grapes and pecans today at different times, and so far today I've felt better than the last few days. I'm just eating pretty much constantly and before hunger hits... at least something every hour but not much at one time and making sure it's only healthy stuff I put in my mouth.

:hug to you all!
Morning sickness hasn't struck yet for me (due 2/18), but I was horribly sick with baby #3. I usually avoid cow's milk because some of my dc are sensitive/allergic to it, but I found that if I drank a large glass of milk mixed with Carnation instant breakfast (not normally something I would crave!) I felt better. If I drank it before bed I didn't wake up sick. If I drank it in the morning, I made it for a few hours before I got sick.

thanks for all the feedback..I tried lemon water and a few cookies before bed tonight and I feel better than yesterday, the lemon water has allowed me to drink more water tonight than in the past two days......
although I threw up twice today..I tried eating small portions every other hour or so and I did feel a bit better today, I will definitely try more fruit and veggie snacks as some of you suggested...
Thanks alot ladies!:thumb
