Well, I kind of feel like it it too early for me to be doing this, but
I feel like I need some support so here I am!

My name is Yonit (pronounced "yo-niece" with the emphasis on the first
syllable) and I am almost 5 weeks pregnant due around mid-February.
However, I have been pregnant 12 times with only 3 surviving children,
so am trying not to get too excited about this - which is why I haven't
figured out my real due date yet! However, there are reasons to believe
that this may be a viable pregnancy and I am doing everything I can to
encourage it along so we will just have to see.

The problem is that beside my husband, absolutely no one else knows
about the pregnancy and no one probably will for a few months.
Obviously I am really anxious right now, and could use some friends for
support - so I chose some total strangers! LOL

So let's see, I have 3 children. My son is 16 and will be going off to
college this fall, having completed high school in 2 years. His
graduation was last week and obviously we are all very proud of him. I
also have 2 daughters who are 6.5 and 5. I am mostly a SAHM, but I also
work part time out of my house. Despite my history - I work with
pregnant women. I have been a doula for almost 8 years and a Childbirth
Educator. I also now train women to be doulas and write regularly for a
couple of publications on pregnancy and birth issues. In my spare time
I am also working on my Doctorate in Naturopathy.

Well, I guess that is it about me. I look forward to getting to know
you all - hopefully for the next 9 months!

Thanks!

I forgot to mention that I do not wish to be congratulated. No problem that you did, as you didn't know, but for anybody else that may respond.

I am Jewish and it is against my religious beliefs to congratulate a pregnancy. Besides, it is way too soon to know if it is even a viable pregnancy yet. I am just being cautiously optimistic :)
