My babe will be 7 months old on Saturday but it feels like she's 2 weeks old again. Her 4 top teeth are now fully out and about. For the past week her top teeth have been killing me. After her feedings all her top teeth are imprinted on my nipple. And are now starting to bruise. I have taken her off to re-latch her but she latches on the same way everytime. Anybody deal with this before? Does it get better? Thank you!

i'm going through the EXACT same thing right now! my 10-mo old has had 8 teeth since a little before 9 mos old and i am in PAIN! i've tried every single position out there - from standing to sitting to upside down nursing. i'm considering pumping for a few days until i heal and then try to resume nursing but i don't know if that's the best thing to do... especially since my milk supply is dwindling and we just pulled solids (food intolerances/allergies/sensitivities). i'm sorry i don't have much advice except to keep trying different positions. i found the "upside down" nursing works the best for me. that way, his teeth don't keep indenting and cutting the same spot over and over again. he lays on the ground and i lay next to/over him but with his head near my tummy and my head near his. it sounds funny, and it probably looks funny, but who cares! it helps with the pain! good luck!

I remember having the same problem. My nipples got sore again like they did when DS was a newborn. It seemed to get better after a week or so. And I still have teeth marks on the nipple when he's done, but it doesn't hurt at all. I guess they just need time to toughen up.

Also teeth are sharp when they first come in, but wear down in a bit.
Here's some info on dealing with biting / scraping:
