My name is Jenny, and my EDD is March 1! I'm really excited, but cautiously so since my most recent pregnancy ended in a m/c in March (and my first pregnancy ended in a m/c in 2001). I work at home (mostly) as an aerospace engineer and I have a dd who is almost 4. We got our positive test on Father's Day, with the lightest line ever to grace a hpt! I tested again today and it's a nice line, and I'm just really hoping for a growing sticky babe. I went 5 days late with dd, so I expect to go late with this one too, so I'll be telling people I'm due early March (my feeling is March 5th). I'm already starting to show (my SIL noticed last night!) We'll have another homebirth (probably another waterbirth). I am trying to just relax and enjoy every day.

Looking forward to meeting everyone! :)

Hi!! I just found out yesterday I am pregnant and I estimate a March 2-3 due date. I have a daughter (3 years old) and am so thrilled to be able to concieve again. We had long fertility struggles and this May was actually a month off before we planned to start an IVF protocal.

I'm 39 years old and this is my second pregnancy. I look forward to sharing experiences with the women here!
(PS CAS are my initials - my name is Cynthia).

Hi! I'm Elena, due with #3 (I have a 4 y.o.. and a 14 month old). My due date is March 1st (Astromom, I also got the faint HPT for Father's Day!) but I am expecting to have the baby in February . . .my girls were both about 2 weeks early.

This is DEFINITELY our last child, so I want to savor every moment!

Glad to meet everyone and may we all have happy and boring 9 months ahead!

If it's ok with everyone, I'll summarize with our names and EDDs in the first post. I'll try to add people as they join. You can pm me if I should change anything! Thanks and congrats!! :balloons

Hi. I am Jennifer. I have been waiting for this forum to open up!

I have an almost 2-year-old ds who is still nursing, and who was born via c/s. I will be spending this pregnancy preparing as best I can for a VBAC. I am also an engineer and I WAH part-time. I am trying to avoid thinking of a "due date" this time around, after all the grief it caused last time, and after reading about the inaccuracy of Naegele's rule. So I will just say that I am due in early March :)

Hello everyone, I am Melanie, mom to 2.5 year old Owen. Just got my BFP today, and I think my due date is march 5. I'm quite nervous as I have had a tiny bit of spotting on the tp today..... I'm only 11 dpo, so I'm HOPING it is left over implantation spotting......

Good luck to everyone,

Melanie

Congratulations everyone! I'm hoping for a BFP but won't know for sure for about a week. I feel like I am with the tender breasts, extra tired, and moody. I thought I was for sure last month, but obviously not. So, sending sticky vibes to everyone!!!:thumb

06-23-2006, 03:30 PM
Hey Jenaka-we must be at about the same place in your cycle. What day are you planning to test?

If I'm pg, my edd will be 3/12.

Ok. Carry on, expecting mamas! I'll try not to make myself too much of a nuisance until I can actually, officially be a member of the March 07 ddc!:duck:

Hi Ladies

My name is Rachel and I am pregnant with child # 3 and I have a 6 year old and a 18 month old and got pregnant after one month of ttc. Wow I thought it would take a few months but it did not. I have 2 girls and would love to have a boy but I would love another girl too. I just want a healthy baby... My due date is March 1st. I had my girls both c-section and am thinking about a HBA2C.

Thanks for starting this forum and for keeping track of all of us.

I am 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant! Yeah! My due date is March 2. I have a 2 year old DD. I had her naturally at a birth center which was amazing. I can't wait to do it again.

I love being pregnant even though last time I was nauseous for 5+ months continuously and then on and off until the end. I recently learned and started doing NT (Nourishing Traditions) so I feel as if I am better prepared this time around. Anyone else doing NT?

I can't wait to share our updates.

Jenny, you're starting to show?? That's crazy!

I am chiming in... just found out yesterday. Due sometime in March April 2007. So far not so bad nausea is a bit blah and heartburn from hell. This will be my second baby a UBAC not sure about UP yet but we will see. Look forward to getting to know you all :)

I am due March 3 with our first - since my family are long 'gestaters' I am predicting at least mid-March. I tested positive on 13dpo, our 4th mth ttc/2nd mth charting. Tested when I hit a third level of high temps. Just a little stretchy feeling in my uterus and breasts are starting to be a little tender.
I work as a doula and IBCLC so I am around birth all the time, but finally it is my turn! Still nervous about staying pregnant ... so trying to go one day at a time. Planning to birth w/ midwives at the Farm in TN.
Thanks for the forum!

Hello to everyone!!! I am new to this board so I will give everyone the lowdown on me!!

My name is Anna, I'm 21, and I've been married for 2.5 years to my wonderful hubby Nick, who is 25. We have a beautiful daughter who is turning 1 on July 1. We have been TTC #2 since January and this month we got our BFP! I am due at the end of February but I'm telling everyone early March. With my DD, I was due June 25 and she was born July 1, and I got so tired of hearing everyone telling me I needed to be induced, when is that baby coming, have you had that baby yet blah blah blah. My DD was born in a hospital, delivered my a wonderful midwife who will deliver this baby as well. This baby however will be born, God willing, at our wonderful birth center. I wanted to birth my daugther there as well but was encouraged to deliver at the hospital because they thought she was going to be small (less than 5.5 pounds). She ended up being over 7 lbs and I had a bad experience so I am going with the birth center this time for sure! Mali was a surprise (gender wise) baby and this one will be too! I am excited to meet everyone on here! Congrats to everyone!!

Bluegrassbonnie,
That is SO COOL that you are going to the Farm!! Can you tell me more about it? Will you meet Ina May?

I'm so excited to be joining in on this roll call. Congratulations to all you beautiful pregnant mammas out there!

I'm 39 and pregnant with our third baby (second pregnancy). We're planning on a homebirth and I called a midwife Friday to set up a meeting with her. Coincidentally, the next day I met her at a park. It was fortuitous and very cool.

Anyway, it looks like we're due around March 1 (perhaps Feb. 28, but I thought I'd jump on this board).

Jenny, I am also starting to show. I can't believe it because it took me months last time. Now, I wonder what I'm going to wear all summer. I'm a little big for my regular clothes but really too small to wear maternity.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone :thumb .

In regards to The Farm, by moving to KY (from NYC), I feel like I have such limited options. Homebirth is 'alegal', no birth centers in sight, no midwives at the hospitals, ack! I am only 20min from the border with TN so going south is the best option. Midwives have good legal status in TN and why not then just drive a little further to have The Farm experience! I have been there with few clients from my area and got to check it out. My biggest problem is that I want me for my doula and I think I will be busy!

Congratulations Everyone!

I am Nancy (age 36) and am due March 1 according to the online pregnancy calender or later if this will be like my first pregnancy.
I have a beautiful b/f dd (feb 04) and am really excited about her having a little sister or brother.

I think it is just sinking in as I am writing in this forum... I'm PREGNANT!!!:flipped

Hoping for another natural birth, this time at a birth center and not the hospital, I had a little spotting on the 25th, but nothing today, so I am moving forward.

Pleased to meet you all!!!!

Hi! I am Rachel (29), wife to Ben (28), mommy to nursey-face Abby (15 months). According to my doctor I am due Feb. 28th, but I think it will be closer to March 3rd. Just one week shy of my daughter's birthday.

Hi all. I guess I belong here now; I got my BFP just today and I'm having a hard time taking it in. We've been TTC for almost a year now, and I think the idea had gotten so abstract to me that now it's a reality I just can't process it. I'm hoping to VBAC, and having a hard time finding support, so that's tough too.

Anyway, this will be my third. My DD is 22 months right now, and my DS was born and died in May 2003.

My technical due date is March 8 (for what it's worth.) :p

I'm really glad to be joining you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, Well just found out I am pregnant today ( at least I think I am) I was having all negative HPT but I went to the dr today and again a negative test. He sent me for a blood test BUT just as I am leaving the office the nurse calls me back and there was a faint line. The dr said I am pregnant but still send me for the blood test to confirm. I know I am pregnant I just feel it. I am due March 1. I am very excited.

Hello everyone, My name is Tory and I'm preggo with my first and my edd is 3/7..

St. Margaret
06-30-2006, 11:50 AM
Hi! I go by St. Margaret, I have a DH of nearly 4 years, and I just found out I'm pregnant! I haven't been to the doc yet, but I chart and so I'm pretty sure I O'd on Jne 11th, temp rise on the 12th, so my due date should be June 3rd or 4th, depending on the online calculator I use, lol. The three-months-seven-days technique comes out a bit differently. So I'll just say "early March." But I wonder if I'll deliver in late Feb-- my DH's due date was early March but he was born in late Feb, right by his mother's birthday-- so maybe we'll have three birthdays that week in the family!

tika
06-30-2006, 03:00 PM
Congrats to everyone!

Tika here. Due with #2 in March. I don't put much emphasis on due dates, so I'm not going to even say the EDD because it means nothing to me.

We're really excited. We conceived on our second cycle of TTC.

I'm Meghann, I'm 25, and I just found out I'm expecting #2 March 9, 2007!!! DH and I just started nonchalantly TTC #2 and it happened right away. I'll get my HCG count result on Monday!

Congrats to all of us!!!!

Hi group!

This is my first time on this website. A friend of mine recommended visiting. I am pregnant with my first baby and have recently learned in the last 2 years that I have a blood clot disorder called "Factor V Leiden". I am wondering if anyone out there has it and if they have delivered before with FVL. And if you have, were you able to deliver naturally and what kind of treatment did you use to prevent blood clots? Actually, anything you can share about your experience with FVL is appreciated.

Another thing, how do I start a new thread? I am well sort of computer illiterate, so I just jumped in here and think my reply is not really placed in the correct area.

Thanks for your help, and congratulations everyone! :thumb

future mommasita - once you're in the right forum, click on Forum Tools (right hand side, above all the threads), there will be a popdown menu, I think the first option is Start New Thread.

There's a thread on moms with blood clotting issues. I'll go find it for you and post a link.

Here's the Women With Blood Clotting Disorders (http://www.mothering.com/discussions/showthread.php?t=351760) thread.

Hi everyone!

I just got a BFP this morning, so it's still sinking in. My EDD looks to be around March 10th or 12th, depending on your interpretation of my chart. The 12th is my birthday, so regardless, as long as baby comes right around on time, it'll be a great present!

We're excited about a new addition to the family, a little overwhelmed and surprised, but excited. And all I can say is - Here's to NOT gaining 75 lbs with this one! :)

Hello and congrats to all!

I'm becca - I have an awesome 22 month old DD, Robin. My partner Clint and I have been TTC#2 for over 14 months. It's been a long and frustrating process, but we were eagerly planning a HB. We also just (as in 2 weeks ago) decided to take a job offer that will mean us moving to Shanghai, so we decided to "pause" our TTCing until we felt comfortable in Shanghai. We leave in 5 weeks - and I got a BFP this morning:p .

I'm super excited, but we're both nervous - Shanghai has a c-sect rate of over 60% and some hospitals have some super crazy practices that are pretty unheard of in modern US hospitals (pubic shaving, checking dilation rectally). I haven't found out about homebirth options yet, but we'll see.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you ladies and wish us all healthy pregnancies!!

And while I'm here ;), I'm Jen, due early march with #2.

My name is Michelle and this will be #7 for us. I am due March 1st, but given my history probably more like March 14th lol. I have 2 birthdays already in Early March, the 2nd and the 7th so hopefully we can avoid those dates. I like everyone to have their own birthday (I guess I better never have twins huh :lol )

Hi guys,

Looking forward to getting to know you all over the coming months! My name is Jo, I am a devoted mom to Rachel (16 months), and this pregnancy is a SUPRISE for us! I got my BFP on Friday (after an "I know I'm not pregnant I'm just late" moment) - big shocker! We are super excited though, and calculated our EDD to be March 5th.

Hi everyone :wave , I'm Beth, married to Rose. I'm currently pregnant with our first, due around March 10th. I work as a doula (part-time) so I am excited that it's finally my turn! We're planning a homebirth.

I always thought there was just a "thread" for each due date club. We have our own forum?? I don't know why but for some reason I always thought there was just one thread or something...

Arwyn
07-03-2006, 10:48 AM
Becca that's WONDERFUL! Interesting timing, but I'm sure it'll work out for you. (We'll all be here cheering you on! Have you popped over to the homebirth roll call thread?)

Hi Beth! Yet another person I got to move to June's BFPs! :love

We do have our own forum. Isn't it cool?

07-03-2006, 03:51 PM
Shhh! I think I'm here.....I got:+ when I woke up this morning with a really dark line, and a slightly lighter line this afternoon.

:dizzy: I'm on vacation far away from home and a little bit nervous. I'm going to probably test again later in the week and then call my fp doc when I get home to get a confirmed test. I'm not saying anything to DH yet because I want our vacation to go smoothly and have happy vacation memories of just the 3 of us without a bunch of excitement about a new baby.

Oh yeah, my period was due today and I was wondering is why I tested. So that puts me at...EDD around March 10-ish.

I was certain that I was pregnant in May, so much so that I joined the January 2007 DDC. I hadn't poas, but I couldn't be convinced that I wasn't preggo...until my period came at 35 days.

Now I'm CRANKY CRANKY CRANKY, "bloated," and the date is set for March 4. I'd love to give birth either before or after that date, rather than have our child share his/her birthday with my brother, but I'm happy with what I get!

So glad to be here!

Hi everyone. Just found out today that I am pregnant with number 2!

This will be our second homebirth as well.:) Haven't told many people and probably won't tell family till closer to 12 weeks. The Health Dept. says edd is Feb.27th but My cycles are longer than 28 days so I'm thinking, early March.

Hey ladies! From various due date calculators: March 3...the technical due date might be anywhere that 1st week, or even the week before, though. I'm still nursing, so my cycles vary a bit. Which is why I'm here in the first place -- SURPRISE. I'm still in shock...dh will be in a little bit when I tell him, too.

Anywho, this will be #3 (and probably a girl -- anyone just feel like they knew?). Dh & I are 28 & 27, so we're getting them all out early in life, lol.

Happy to meet you all! :D

:hola:

i'm celeste, and dh and i are pregnant with baby #1. we found out on sunday and we're so excited. i am a bit nervous yet as we've had 2 losses (an ectopic and a m/c), but something just feels different and i think this one's going to be fine.

i'm 33, and we've been ttc for 5 years. we have just completed fertility treatment with injectable meds, so my biggest question should not be "am i really pregnant," it should be "how many are in there"!! we conceived on ths solstice, so i am guessing that this one may come for the equinox, rather than the march 13 edd i was given.

i have been through so much to get this :+ i am just hoping for a calm, quiet pregnancy and birth. i plan to be at a birth center.

i'm actually happy that there are other mamas here who understand the toll that infertility or long ttc can take... a bfp doesn't seem as simple to me as it looks to be for others.

i'm really looking forward to walking this journey with you all.

I'm Shalena, and this will be our second baby. I'm 22 and my DH is 28. We had been TTC for 6 months.
My edd is March 16th. We're planning a home waterbirth with a midwife.
I'm not planning on telling family for quite a while, but can't help myself from jumping in to this DDC! My son was born 12/04 and I formed great friendships in the december 04 ddc. I hope I have the same experience here!

Well, I think my name says it all :lol I am a regular poster here with several IRL friends who also are MDC fanatics. We are hoping to keep this baby our secret for a little while so for now, I'm incognito :kewl I am so excited to be joining this DDC. I found out July 1 that I am pg. Dh and I are thrilled and also a little nervous. We planned for this little one and have been trying for a few months. According to ff, my due date is 3/12:D

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone, and hoping to find good information about dealing with all the fun early pg symptoms and concerns.

I promise to come clean with my real identity once we've told people IRL.

:bouncy ooooohhh... a mystery... ;)

Hi all,

I'd like to join you. Susan is my middle name, and that's what I'd like to go by here. My due date is somewhere between March 9-12, depending on when exactly I ovulated. I had an early miscarriage (5.5 weeks) back in February, so I'm hoping this time around things will work out better.

I have lupus, along with some kidney anatomy anomolies, which put me in a high risk category. (I'll need a perinatologist & no home births for me!) I am also in the middle of moving, which means that finding and changing providers will be a little bit of a challenge. We have a 2+ week vacation planned for August, so I'm a little concerned about the timing of any tests I should be having at/around the 12-week mark. These are my concerns.

I'm going to be trying my best to be following the Brewer diet (or similar), so I'll be looking forward to sharing meal suggestions with you all.

My willpower, ha! Well, let's just say this isn't my first or even my second time with this. Every other pregnancy I have spilled the beans before the pee was dry on the stick :lol This is probably the last time I will be pregnant though, and something about holding this little secret to myself just feels really special and right. I didn't even tell dh for 3 days.

Thanks for the warm welcome :thumb Can't wait to share the next 9 months with you ladies.

hello....

I haven't been on MDC for a bit, but just got a faint line yesterday and this morning, so I wanted to join you all here... Based on my ovulation, the due date looks to be March 17 (and this is #2 for us).... here's hoping for sticky vibes! I've felt pregnant for a week (most distinctly a complete lack of appetite for any unhealthy foods, particularly sweets, which is very unusal for me and completely the same as my first pregnancy!), so was glad the test confirmed it (I'm at 12 dpo).

Here's to spending the next 9 or so months here (my dd was 10 days early, so I don't have a lot of reason to be concerned about due dates or gestation length at the moment...I actually hope this one lasts a bit longer, because my partner works in another state for part of the year and we are hoping that she will definitely be back by then!)

Hi everyone, can I join in??? I just found out this morning that we are expecting baby #2! My ds was born in March 05 but I didn't learn about Mothering until after his birth, so I am soooo excited to have all the wisdom of MDC at my fingertips throughout this pregnancy! I am also hoping and planning to have a VBAC, and a very empowered one!! I am still nursing ds but he has recently cut down ALOT (he was nursing like a newborn until just a couple weeks ago) so now he's nursing 2-4 times at night and about 5-6 times a day. My biggest hope for him is that he can continue to nurse throughout the pregnancy and I hope to tandem nurse!!!

I'm Danica. We just had an utter shock, as we'd been told by OB with DD that we had a less than 5% chance of conceiving naturally (shows how much he knows, eh) & he was pushing hard on Lupron & ICSI ... ... we were ready for a good 2-3 yrs of TTC, and did NOT expect to have a BFP on the 3rd post-partum cycle. Shocked & thrilled here.

I had a C/S with DD that I was none too happy about & really believe was unnecessary outside of hospital regulations. I'm planning VBAC but we're still negotiating where that will happen. DH is very concerned about health in childbirth (quote today, "childbirth is dangerous!"), and says that he is 100% against homebirth. I'm more inclined to look at a birthing center. Either way I'm seeing a medical midwife at least for shadow care starting in August and we're due Mid-March. The ovulation-based EDD is March 13th.

This will be my 3rd pregnancy (second was MC back in October) so I am kinda on edge about getting past the first trimester hurdle! I have a dd who is 22 months named Katherine and we are a military family, dh is in the navy here in San Diego...

This will be a new experience for me if I decide to go to the Birth Center here, as last time I delivered Katherine in the Naval Hospital... I'm going on Thursday to take a tour and hopefully it will feel right! I sooo look forward to a more personal pregnancy and a water birth! :) :)

Hope I can keep up, it looks like this board is a busy one and so many due in March! My EDD is March 9th! I am currently going to college online at the same time as being a SAHM!

Nice to meet all of you and hope I can get into the swing of things here on MDC soon. A friend pointed me here and it looks like a great place! :)

I have been on and off Depo in the past and it took 5 months after my missed shot to get pregnant. I have been charting- but have had crazy AF because of depo withdrawl. :dizzy: So I expect that our dates might be a little off- but still am sure that it will most likely be sometime in March.

We found out a couple of days ago. Two lines!!!:lol I took a second test this morning and my line got darker. Hurrah!:thumb

Hi mamas! I'm Jennifer, and I found out this morning that I am pregnant with my 2nd child. I *think* I should be due around the vernal equinox (wouldn't that be cool?!), according to my calculations.

This was kind of a surprise. ALthough we did nothing to TTA, we weren't actively TTC, and I am still breastfeeding and have only had 2 postpartum cycles. But I am excited! It will be cool for DS to have a sibling!

Congrats to everyone!

I am still nursing my 33 month old but only occasionally, the weaning has been her idea and very gradual. I tandem nursed #2 and #3 for 26 months and really didn't want to go there again ;) The next two will be almost 3.5 years apart.

We are planning our third homebirth with the same MW that attended the last two :thumb

I'm Mandy and I don't post at MDC very often, though I have been a member since forever. I've been hanging out at the woolywonder forums for the last 6 months or so since learning to st October.

Anyhoo, I'm due with #4 around March 8th, I guess. I haven't been to the doctor yet but I'm definately preggo! I have a 6yo boy, 4yo girl and my nursling is 22 months in 2 days. I have never been able to get pregnant while nursing so this is new to me :)

My last was my first natural birth (three minutes shy of a UC - whoops!) and I haven't decided if I want a deliberate UC, midwife-assisted homebirth, or hospital natural birth. I know I will cloth diaper this babe from birth and of course, breastfeed.

I hope to be checking in from time to time but with 3 active kiddos, it's hard to get much alone time on the old computer :lol

Hi Mammas!
:banana
I am so thrilled to be pregnant again!!! I am mom to 2 1/2 year old DS, (still BF and cosleeping - not sure what to do about that!). We've been TTC for several months, finally got the beautiful :+ on the weekend. It's weird though, with DS1 I was so sick by this point, (4 1/2 weeks), my breasts were full and sore, smells bothered me, etc. but I feel totally normal so far. Maybe it's just too early. (NOT that I'm complaining!!:wink )

We exclusively BF, (child led weaning so far) cosleep, AP, don't vax or circ. Other than that, I'm fairly mainstream, (sposies, I work FT and we all eat meat :lol ).

Anyway, nice to meet you mammas! I look forward to sharing our journeys together.

Estimated due date is late March 2007.

Hi. I'm Jenny, and I found out Saturday that I'm expecting #3. DH and I had just started trying again this cycle, but we're thrilled!!!!!!!!!

I have a unique 14-year-old DD, and an energetic DS who will be 2-years-old next month. I also had a pregnancy loss between those two healthy kids, so I'm a little nervous about this one. But I have great feeling about it!

Both kids were natural births (DD in a hospital with a CNM who was so little into intervention that I had to yell at her on the other side of the room to come catch the baby :bigeyes ---- and DS was born at home). I would love another home birth, but I'm not sure we are able to shell out the big $$$$$$ for a midwife, and I just don't know about unassisted births (we are a good 20 minutes from the closest --- very rural ---hospital)!

I'm so happy to be here! :surprise: EDD March 24th

Hello everyone I am coming out of the closet and into the world of posting!! I have been a long time lurker, short time member. I became a member so I could lurk the Waldorf forums. I take my 21month DD to a playgroup at a Waldorf inspired charter school, and we LOVE it there. I thought I was coming out of the lurking closet to chat in the Waldorf forum, but as it turns out they are all way way over my head. So I moved on to the TTC forum. Wow some of those women have SO much reproductive knowledge (some of them are here now, congrats!) I was so hooked onthat forum that I started to feel guilty about all the lurking, I mean I read months of back pages, read the charts, the family links... it was an all day every day habbit. Alas, I didn't post because it turns out that TTC makes me an insane person. The two week wait was hell. Finaly I gave up on TTC, moved over to the natural living boards decided I was going to learn how to can foods, make my own soap, and make my own cleaning supplies. When I announced this to my friends and family IRL they mostly replied... " are you SURE you aren't pregnant!?". I really thought that I wasn't. my husband and I were a state apart during my "high fertile" time. (not temping) As it turns out, it didn't matter. Somehow we caught that egg.

Bringin us to yesterday. My wedding Anniversary. Got a BFP on a walgreens blue test. I decided to test after I had a dream that my DD looked at me and said "oh, your pregnant mamma" while rubbing my belly. then in the dream I asked her what I was having and she thought a moment and said "a girl". We are currently staying with his parents, waiting to get the keys for our first home!! The check is supoosed to be in the office and funded by 2:30 tomorrow! A lot to take in, I am sure, becasue its a lot for me to think about, and I am the one who knows what I am trying to say!

Ok... My name is Amanda, I have been with my husband for 11 years, married for 3. My DD Ava will be two in October. Cloth, nurse, cosleep.... Due date with #2 about March 29....

I guess I should have mentioned my real real reason for being a professional lurker... I am way to disorganised and long winded when I try to post...:o

Now that I am out of the closet, I have so many questions!

I cannot even believe I am posting here! I am expecting #4 around March 18. We just found out and still can't believe it.

This is a vasectomy baby! We thought we were done. Guess not!

Maybe it's time to change my siggyy. lol Feels good to tell someone since we're keeping hush with family for a while. I had to get it out!

I'm Sharon. I'm 32 and have a 24 mo dd named Solana. I had an early m/c in May, so I'm feeling a tentatively excited about this one. So far, I've gotten pregnant the first time each time I've tried, no charting, etc. It makes me feel vindicated for my paranoia about unwanted pregnancy when I was in college.

I'm going to give birth in the hospital where my spouse works. I feel like we got special attention last time b/c of his affiliation. Or maybe they're always that great.

We'll cloth diaper, and I'll go back to WOHM after 3 or 4 months, I think.

I'm Jenn. I have a 2 yo ds and I'm due March 31st with this one!! Yippee!

We had just decided in May that we would ttc in May of 2007. DH and I both felt good about that descision. Then in June I was several days late. Took a hpt and got a faint, faint line. AF started later that day. :( It made us realize though that we really did want another baby. So here we are. I'm a little nervous yet, but it's still early in my cycle and I got a nice strong line so that's giving me a leeetle confidence.

I'm excited to be a part of the ddc and looking forward to getting to know you all!

Just found out we are expecting again, baby 3 for me. Big surprise! I never had a cycle since my daughter was born - she's still nursing all night - but my best guess is that I'll be due around the end of March. Look forward to chatting with you all. What a big month for babies!

First of all, congratulations to eveyone!! This is my first post, so let me introduce myself. I'm Rebecca, and I have a beautiful 13 month old daughter. We just found out I'm pregnant again and probably due late march. We're really excited, but I feel so "not pregnant" right now, I took another HPT to be sure. Yep - that blue line came through strong and clear!! I have my first OB appt in 3 weeks, so hope to hear the heartbeat then. (Oddly enough, my doctor & midwife don't even see pregnant women until they are 8 weeks). Looking forward to the next 8 1/2 months!

I'm Christine, 26, married 6 years to my husband... this is baby #4 for us. Our other kids are 5 (boy), 3.5 (boy), 1.5 (girl) and #4 is due 3/15/06. We live in rural Alaska (off the road system). Haven't told our extended family yet - we're thinking about telling them in January when we see them (how will that be for a surprise?! LOL) but I don't know. I know it'll be a while yet! I'm a little over 6 weeks today. I'm a SAHM and enjoy outdoors-y stuff... goes with where we live!

hello all you march mamas! my name is Savannah and I am due mid-march with my second babe. My first just turned 14 so I am re-learning the experience of being pg. I am so so nauseous this time around...
I was a young mama the first time and had a c-section birth; planning a v-bac this time! Everything in my life is different: I was a single mom the first time and my son was a big surprise; this pg is planned and my husband and I are thrilled. Surprisingly, we got pg on the very first "try".
I look forward to sharing the journey with you....

First of all, so sorry for your loss, Brisen. I will be sending lots of comforting thoughts and hugs your way...

My name is Michelle, and we found out we are pregnant with #2 about 2 weeks ago... I have been trying to find the time to read thru everyone's intros and then say hello myself-- it sure is a full thread! How exciting is that to be able to share in everyone's journeys? I am so thrilled to be here! We had a very early loss in June, and are thrilled to be pregnant again! I am feeling great, and am really excited to have MDC this time around (discovered it after DS was born). My hubby is Rob (41), our son is Eli (27 mo), and I will be 38 in Sept. We live in KY, too (a couple of other mamas out there, eh?), and have a great community here. We are still BF, co-sleep, CD, vegetarians, planning for a VBAC in a hospital. We had an amazing birth via C-section after 3 long days of hard labor that did not result in vaginal birth because our little guy ended up being posterior and transverse, completely lodged between my hips, poor sweetie. We loved hypnobirthing, and can't wait to use it again, hopefully to help have a VBAC! Oh, and happyblessedmama, I love the outdoors, too! We spend most every day (at least in part) out playing in the woods and creek. Having a toddler is a great perspective-giver on daily life, and such a neat one to share pregnancy with-- he told me yesterday that "Mama has a little baby in her belly, and I am going to be a big brother, and when the baby comes out, I will have a little sister, and Mama will have a little sister, and we can call her 'MOM"!! Isn't that a good idea, Mama?" I had to smile hugely rather than laugh and hurt his feeilngs. I was touched, for sure. Well, I am so excited to meet all of you, and so look forward to sharing paths with all of you. Good thoughts to all! Michelle

Hi mamas,

I am unexpectedly pregnant at 37 with my second, after a miscarriage earlier this year. I am due March 26th. My son is 10. I am a special education teacher in a very rural community with just a few close friends and a nasty ex-husband, truly living in a fishbowl! The sperm donor is an ex-boyfriend with whom I had a brief encounter last month, and whom I would NOT welcome in my life or my family's...must have been for this reason because I have wanted to have another child for a few years! My dilemmas are several, as you might expect.....added to which is that I have recently begun seeing a wonderful man (who has had a vasectomy but with whom I have already discussed having kids another way!) who might not take too well to the idea of dating a woman pregnant by someone else. SO I am juggling.....public scrutiny as a single professional mother in a small town and public job and possibly totally single, versus the joy of growing the family I have wanted, albeit in an unorthodox way! I have resources - great salary, good car, my own house - but I did want to have a baby with the right man. This just isn't what I dreamed of, but then, I am trying to see this pregnancy as a gift and a message that I need to heed. Any words of wisdom and support will be greatly appreciated as I begin this journey!

Inside, I am THRILLED!!!!!!!!!!! And of course dusting off my name lists:
girl - Eva, Emma, Zoe, Sophie
Boy - Samuel, Sawyer, Ezekiel

Laurie, :dropjaw mama to 10 year-old :boybaby: and expecting #2 3/26/07

I am just amazed at those of you with babies or toddlers and pg right now. I am so whiney, tired, nauseaus and can't imagine taking care of a little one right now...
Just found out I WAS pg with twins, but looks like one is not viable. I am wondering if the extra hormones are what is making me extra yucky...?
Anyway, had an u/s because of spotting and one baby looks healthy and has a heart beat and the other is smaller and no heartbeat. Interestingly, my son (caleb, 14) told me when I very first got pg that is was twins and the next week said, oh, nope just one baby now Mom. He is very intuitive and I always listen to him.
Oh, and i am in NE PDX for those of you who are in Portland. I love this city. I have an office in a clinic called Whole Mama, Whole Child and am a LMT and Life Coach who works with women/mamas.
I will check out the thread in find your tribe!

Savannah--I'm so sorry for the loss of one of your little ones. Blessings to you.

Ruby--The thought of me becoming pregnant was terrifying for my husband for a long time and it sparked a few arguments over the course of this past year since our son was born (I want a big family, DH not too sure :wink ). Even though we had decided we might want to start trying, I was soooo nervous to tell him I was pregnant with our surprise #2. I thought for sure he'd be mad and blame me and not want it, but he REALLY surprised ME! He was happy afterall. Maybe your DH will surprise you and offer plenty of love and support (both of which you will get here no matter what!)
Good luck :innocent

My name is Franny.

I'm lesbian from Houston, in a committed partnership. We have been TTC for six months, and now I'm 8 weeks along. Yesterday we had an ultrasound and got to hear the hearbeat; it was so much stronger than just two weeks ago when we had our first ultrasound! It really is exciting. So far I feel great, and I haven't gained any weight, though everything is redistributing in unusual ways, so lots of my work pants don't fit already. I also have a couple of symptoms not even covered in the "Girlfriends Guide" - one being giant butt pimples. :o Nice! Really sexy and attractive.

I look forward to getting to know you guys as we go through this journey together!

I might not end up delivering in March, but since Anna is over here I will be too ;-)
I'm Elle, due March 5th with our second. We have a 19 month old daughter named Aurora, who is how you say...demanding? Still nursing (a lot), cosleeping, etc. I'm 8 weeks, 2 days. We weren't trying, but not preventing. I had a miscarriage a few months ago but since I'd only had one period before that I'm not sure how far along I was. Comparing the two I think I was around 5 weeks. DH really wants a surprise, but I don't know if I'll be able to wait! I'm really crossing my fingers for a boy this time, since after this we'll be done for a long time. I had a lot of problems with my first pregnancy so I'm hoping I get off easier this time. I still have a short cervix, so that won't change, but if hyperemesis keeps staying away and preterm labor holds off...well I'll be a happy camper! Oh yes, I'm Elle, married to Robby. Nice to meet everyone :-)

She used to handle births at her previous location (and old house off Sheppard) but now she just does homebirth as her current office doesn't have the space. Her name is Pat Jones and if you are interested I can give you her information. Even if you aren't set on homebirth I would suggest meeting with her. Hi Everyone,

I just found out that I am pregnant with my second child. :+ I am due about March 19. I am so excited. :happyt: This will actually be the first baby in 20 years that isn't a fall baby. LOL :o I have a little girl that will be 2 in August. She is my pride and joy. So smart and so sweet. I have noticed since I have found out that I am pregnant again I am going on a cleaning rampage. I know it is to early for nesting but I was wondering if this is normal.

This child will also be an attempt at a VBAC. I found a nice midwife at a birthing center here in town that will do VBAC's. I am so scared yet excited. I am afraid that something will go wrong.

My daughter was a c-section cause of failure to progress and the stupidity of my doctor. I was only 18 at the time and not very well educated on my birthing options. The doctor gave me my epideral at 3 cm and the broke my water that got me to 5 1/3 cm. For about 5 hours that is where I stayed. I was already on potcine and the doctor didn't even know it. He wouldn't up it an proceeded with the c-section.

So I guess I am hoping to use you all as a support system since I am so scared. I look forward to getting to know you all. :grouphug

Hello all!!

I am pressed for time tonight so I didn't get to read all the posts - but wanted to pop in and say hello! Dh and I are expecting #2 march 27th - HOORAY!!!! Ds is 11 mo and I really wanted them to be close together!

I'm in the process of hunting for a midwife to do a homebirth/waterbirth for us. I had a CNM last time but it was with a doc office and in the hospital. They gave me SO many drugs (morphine shot, morphine drip, fentonal, and epidural - after pitocin) that poor baby was knocked out! Plus - as awesome as my midwife was (yelled at nurses for telling me I would need a c-section, which I didn't!), she was in and out like a doc, not hanging around at all.

That's all I have time for now! Can't wait to come back and read more! I'm so excited for this baby!!!

Hi, I'm Blue Eden, new here. :shy

I'm 30, a SAHW, almost nine weeks along with our first. My first pg ended in an early first trimester m/c in January (perhaps it was a chemical, the docs here weren't sure if it was an implanted sac they saw or a blood clot, on the u/s).

So I'm naturally a little nervous for this one, but trying to relax.

I'm Canadian, Zorba is Greek American, and we live in Romania for now. We had been thinking about ttc for more than a year, and I was charting for 14 cycles (very long cycles, I O around cd23-27). We had timing issues, but no problem getting pg.

My EDD is March 16.

Blue Eden,
make sure that your careprovider knows you ovulated late or fudge your LMP to match with your ovulation date... otherwise they will be saying you are more pregnant than you actually are and that might cause problems at the end of pregnancy. Welcome!

Well this silly mama didn't look here first so I posted an intro thread. :duck:

I'm lazy, so I'm just going to post what I wrote here, since this will be up "forever" and my thread will slip into oblivion in a day or two :p

Hi ladies! I hope y'all don't mind another member! I'm a babycenter refugee, they just drive me nuts over there and I need to chat with like minded mommas due around the time I am!

Like my signature says, I'm Sarah, mama to Leila, who is now almost 16 months old. the belly bean's official edd is 3/3/07, and we're planning another homebirth. Leila was born with several heart defects so instead of no prenatal testing like last time, this time we've opted for the fetal echo, I just want to be sure there's nothing majorly wrong since we're having a homebirth and our chances of having another child with a heart defect are slightly elevated now.

Hmm, what else. Second-time preggo mama, first time nursing through pregnancy mama. We're still cosleeping (with no plans for moving dd), so that presents some unique challenges as well.

Can't wait until the first trimester is OVER. the m/s is subsiding, but the exhaustion is killing me! My toddler will be much happier when mama has some energy to play again!

Hello. I'm new. My name is Felicia. I am 39 and single. Used a donor. Miscarried at 8 weeks in March of this year. Cautiously excited this time at almost eleven weeks. My due date is March 2, 2007. Glad to join you!

Thanks, yeah I told the doc about my late ovulation so they know about that. We've done a few ultrasounds already. The last u/s was at 7 weeks and 5 days, and the little one measured exactly right on schedule!

I'm pretty positive I will not be having the baby where I am. I will either go up to the capital city in Bucharest (there is an American clinic there) or more likely fly home to Canada and have the baby in the States (my husband wants the baby born in the US, to save us problems later on - he's American and we'll probably live there).

I really wish I didn't have all this extra stuff to worry about, but that seems to be the story of my life. :dizzy:

Hellloooo!!

We are happily expecting abouts March 16th. My "real" 40 week date is March 5th, but my first 3 babies thus far have been 11 days "late" / on time ;) ...

We expected a boy before he got in there, and now with my fabuloso gagging and carb craving...I am sure!

We are moving to KY this month, and are planning a unattended Birth as we did last time :)

...My name is Jaimee

P.S. - My girly girl friend Cinnamonamon is the best... hanging and gagging with me when I get to MI from time to time :lol

I just can't really believe I'm pregnant! I've frankly gone through a lots of emotions, but totally stoked wasn't among them yet. I feel so overwhelmed!
I have a supercute, fun and sweet dd who will be 2 in October and I'm mostly soo exhausted right now that I can barely manage to leave the house with her.
Maybe some of your excitement here will rub off on me I hope!!

I've had to have a C Sec before, even though I was totally prepped for Hypnobirthing.
I'm condidering trying a VBAC water homebirth....

Congratulations and best wishes to all on the March 07 Roll Call list! I, too, am expecting in March - March 10, actually. This is my first posting in here, although I've been observing off and on for awhile (loving all the pics, btw!). Not sure how to get added to the roll call list, or if it happens automatically. But anyway, here I am.... :)

I'm 29, this is my first pregnancy and I plan to birth at home. Looking forward to seeing and learning lot's more over the next few months.

So excited to be a member of the March DDC!! Although my EDD is the 28th... we'll see...

I'm 25, been married to the most awesome man on the planet for 5 years, have not used any kind of birth control since six months after we were married. We were wondering if we should pursue infertility treatment, but decided to wait and see what the Lord had in store. If we didn't get pregnant, we were planning to be foster parents or adopt, or both. But even though we are pregnant, that doesn't mean fostering/adopting is out of the question. It's still up to the Lord.

I'm just so amazed that I'm pregnant!! It's just sureal. I am daily astounded at the beauty, simplicity and complexity of conception, pregnancy, and birth. That our Creator would design this process, this "creating something out of nothing" with the main ingredient being what? Love. Love between two people and where there was nothing in my body before, now.... there's a person!! A real, itty-bitty little person, totally separate from my person, and yet, so much a part of me, being that he's growing inside me. I dream about the day when we finally meet him, see him, and touch him, and marvel at the fact that this person *did not exist* a year ago, and now, here he is..... changing our lives forever. Something out of nothing. Just facinating to me.

May the Lord bless and guide each one of you beautiful mamas!!

Gah. I guess you'll have to change my due date to April 1st. I'm still gonna stick around in this ddc for the most part. I know I could have an April baby, but I have a feeling it'll be late March.

Hi! I guess that after a month of knowing, I am finally adjusting to the idea that I am pregnant, so here I am! I have been lurking around these threads but not participating much yet.

Baby #3 is a BIG surprise (conceived 5 whole days before o day!). I really wanted more children but was hurrying up trying to finish my PhD first. Now I guess, our plans will have to change, for the best! Our due date is March 29, calculated from date of conception.

My first child was born at the hospital, with no complications but I was traumatized by how little my wishes and desires were taken into account!

My second child was born in a birthing home with a midwife. There is only one birthing home in our area and the midwives are very non-interventionists. I loved it!

This baby (little flower is his/her name for now!) will be born there or at home. Our last one was here in a little under 3 hours of labor with only the last hour being very intense so he/she might just slip out here at home this time!

Looking forward to going through these next couple of months with all of you :thumb !

My name is Amber- age 28 due with child #2 on March 20, 2007- making me 10 weeks today. Our son was born via c-section on 9/11/04 due to a lack of progress. I was 41 1/2 weeks pregnant and when they broke my water, it was heavy merconium. They let me labor for 6 hours, but I never got past 3cm dialation. I was hoping for a VBAC attempt this time, but at my 8 week apt my doc said that with that history, my chances at a sucessful VBAC would be low, so she wants to schedule the section at 39 weeks. I'm German blooded and therefore stubborn, so I'm still gonna fight for a VBAC as long as teh baby's healthy. Hopefully I can puch her to let me go to 41 weeks to let my body try to kick in. We'll see. Gonna talk more at my next apt on Sept 6th and see what she says. If she's not willing, I may be going OB shopping.

Hi everyone! I'm Lily, and we're expecting baby #1 March 26, 2007.

My first appt with the midwife is August 29 (less than a week away, YAY), and I can't wait!!!

I conceived on cycle #3 post BCPs, and temped, charted, used OPKs, and a saliva microscope to conceive my little one. And yes, I did all this from the get go :o What can I say - I like to plan :lol :lol :lol

My name is Sara and I am cautiously baking baby number 4. I am due on March 8th...so I will be 12 weeks on Thursday. When everyone is starting to sigh with relief, this is when the worrying starts for me!!! I have had 2 second trimester losses, both baby girls. I am under the strict care of a perinatalogist this time around and have already had numerous appts and 2 u/s's. It's amazing the course life will take you in and it's not always quite what you want, but if I get my baby out of this it will all be worth it, whatever course I have to take over the next 28 weeks. I am a breastfeeding, cosleeping, no circing mama and was so happy to find all of you guys!!!

Wow! What is that like? What did you do to prepare? DH is worried about hb and the costs but I'd rather UC than go to the hospital again!

Hi -- I'm Lisa (31). Due approx March 10, though my son (2.5yrs) was born nearly 3 weeks early, so who knows. We now live in Charlottesville, VA and I'm looking into homebirth options here. The legislation has been changing a lot and it's very different than Vermont where my son was born at home. Still interviewing a few midwives and trying to find a good match... Wish I could go to the Farm too!!!

Hello, Mamas. :wave

I am Leah, 26, married to Rudi, almost 30, for six years. We have one son Zachary, 3, and three foster daughters, ages 2,3, and 10. I had a miscarriage last summer at 10 weeks (blighted ovum). I am 13 weeks pregnant with our second (or fifth, if you count the fosters) child! Due Date set tentatively at March 8. I just heard the heartbeat today so I am finally accepting that I am really pregnant this time! Still crossing my fingers that everything goes well. I had preterm labor with DS and had contractions from 29 weeks until 36 weeks when he was born... It will be nice to have an early baby, just as long as it's not TOO early! :)

Congrats to all the mamas in the March DDC! :thumb

Hello, Ladies and congratulations to you all!

My name is Kate and my husband and I live in a little village outside of Istanbul, Turkey. I have a 12-year-old daughter from a previous marriage and this is DH's first. Our "guess date" by US is 8 March, by LMP it's 5 March.

We are planning a homebirth and doing some midwife-shopping. We think we've found one, but have yet to meet her in person. Talking by phone and email, she has seemed a dream-come-true, but we don't want to count our chickens before they hatch. We're keeping up with my OB/GYN in the meantime and having fun refusing all the ridiculous tests she wants to do. I'm at that magic age of 35 where childbirth suddenly becomes "risky business," LOL.

More information about us can be gleaned from my blog at http://www.geocities.com/turkish_kate/

Looking forward to sharing birth stories in a few months!

Kate

Hi, count me in! We found out about six weeks ago that we are expecting again. We have two children, a daughter, Madeline, who is 4 1/2 and a son, Mason, who is 9 months. This new one will be a big change for us from the last sibling adjustment (which was a breeze)but I think we will enjoy it in the end! I can't wait to get to know all you ladies!

I'm in it until March, too--if my luck holds. Due date is March 10. I had a 1st trimester loss last year (triploidy). My cvs revealed good news, and heart beat was strong a week later. It's hard to believe that I'm hitting 15 weeks on Saturday, and that *nothing bad has happened yet*. We've told our friends & family, as well as work. I haven't had any m/s, just fatigue and haven't slept though the night since June. Yesterday I felt so perky, and tonight I came home and fell asleep after work and grocery shopping. Every day seems a little different from the next. We love our midwife, and will see her tomorrow--it always makes me feel more confident....for a couple weeks anyhow. Wish you all well!

nbhhy!

**updated to add--midwife apt was awesome--frisky heartbeat and my BP was normal!! So happy today...

Hello everyone, and happy 2nd trimester! I'm Breana, and am pregnant with #3 (oh my GOSH...is that TRUE?!!)... We just had Kaden in February of this year--he's 7 months now--so I'm still trying to wrap my brain around this. We are, luckily, very excited to be doing it all again, though. We are planning another homebirth, which was wonderful with Kaden--especially having a cesarean the first time around. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you, and sharing some wonderful birth stories in 5 more months or so.

I'm Maria and we are expecting our third lovie! We are very excited, although my two keep me on my toes and constantly busy so it's hard to even remember I'm pregnant at times! We had a homebirth with Mateo and are planning another one this time around. I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hi ya'll. Just discovering MDC, and this due date club!

I'm Karen, wife to James, and due with our first on March 6, 2007.

I had a miscarriage (blighted ovum) in Sept., just before we got married, and it took 8 months of TTC before we got :+ again. We're very happy and excited!

I started out at a regular OB, wasn't happy about her answers to my questions about natural childbirth, and switched to a CNM practice a few weeks ago. I'm excited to have a midwife rather than an OB, esp. since all the books I've read (and that's a LOT) have mentioned the benefits of forgoing interventions. I'll be delivering at a hospital, since that's what our insurance will cover...and it makes DH happy, as he has little experience with birth (like I *do*??) save for a friend who had a placental abruption at 34 weeks.

Looking forward to spending more time here!

I'm new to MDC, but am due at the end of March w/DC #2. We won't be finding out the gender, and we are planning another home waterbirth. I dreamed last night that my MW and DH had set up the birth tub and put me in it (at 15 weeks where I am now), and wondered why my labor wasn't progressing!! I wasn't in labor! It was a funny dream, I just remember thinking I should go for a walk to help speed it up! LOL! Ah, pregnancy dreams! I'm so glad to join the group! :)

Isn't it crazy that I haven't roll called yet???
I would think that ya'll at least recognize me by now. I am Valerie, have two lovely little girls. I am due March 19, though isn't it funny, I will tell a bunch of strangers but somehow play dumb when my family askes me when I am due? I just can't stand those last few days when everytime I talk to them, its are you in labor? We kinda want to find out the sex, okay, we really do, but we don't know if we will be able to. We are going for our first homebirth this time, which means we have to pay for it. Which means we may not get an ultrasound. Oh well though, right? Okay, now I have roll called

My DD is five months old, and I am due the end of March.:dizzy: This was such a surprise. (it came about during a breif reconciliation with DD's father) I figured it out a month after the fact, although I should have known when I suddenly had to have a dog. (I love animals, I just prefer not to live with them. With DD, in my first and second month, all I wanted was a rabbit or a small dog. Couldn't drive past the local pet store with out the urge to turn in.) This is my second pregnancy, and I am feeling fantastic. Mild nausea two or three times, so different from DD. Starving all the time, bfing and growing a new one. Can still sleep on my stomach though!

Welcome, Jennifer! :) Too funny about the pets -- it must be your innate cuddling/nurturing instinct! ;) I found my second pg to be much easier than my first one, I hope that's your situation as
